wasn't calling you an idiot, just stating what i know from my experiences, and I believe @RunPassOption asked what my hotboard would look like, I honestly have no idea if theses guys would apply or even be interested but my top 3 would be: 1. Stephen Jackson(Oakland DC, still lives in Hartsville, may not be interested wanting something bigger)  2. Jason Dobbs(Moore County HC, TC guy, has had a couple decent seasons at MC, would Clint hire him back? He would bring in a very solid lineman with him)  3. Hackett(Watertown DC, has coached under Gary Rankins and helped turn H2O around, may be next in line at H20).  And Blake Satterfield would be in that 1 or 2 spot, but I know he doesn't want it, he could have had it the last search but said no.

I could see Dobbs. I know he was at the Trousdale/Whitwell game on his bye week

Missouri does something very similar to this. 9 regular season games. Then playoffs begin with a district tournament. Thru the first 3 rds you play familiar district foes. After that you are in the final 8 in the state. I like the way they do it.

Whitwell played a region tournament this year, Valley in the 2nd and Pitt in the Quarters. Valley didn’t bring anyone, more than Clay did but they brought maybe 15 people. The quarters and semis were pack.

Would of loved to seen the 2016 Sequatchie team play this years whitwell team. Sequatchies line play would’ve wore whitwel down fast. Our defense was amazing that year. Would’ve been a good game but I think Sequatchie had the advantage especially with barker, cates and Davenport

Difference would have been speed. Whitwell had the line play to get stops. But like you said what a game. Davenport, Cates, Stevens & Barker vs Petty, Wingo, Thundur, Ashworth & Stewart. Remember the mismatch was Soph CB vs SR WR in 2016, Whitwell had to play man and stack the box. Barker threw for 300 yards.

It was told sequatchie has tried since 2016 to get that scheduled but whitwell is the one who doesn’t want to. Guess that 60 something points they hung on them in ‘16 upset some people in red. But those games these last two yrs would have been good ones.

1st year would have been a very good game. Line play would have went to Sequatchie with speed edge and skill to Whitwell. Barker would have been very hard to stop. The 2 did scrimmage last fall in a practice setting. This past year wouldn’t have been as good. See the score very similar to the Meigs game. I think a Whitwell/Meigs game would have been very good.

Cornersville still wins 6-8 games and will make it to the second round.

I’d guess Moore Co will be the region favorite right CB. Don’t know much about that region outside y’all dominated it the last 2 years

Whitwell had two good seasons and now they think they are one of the top programs  in 1a. Most of the fans I have talked to with any football knowledge know what’s coming next yr and years to follow. Coaching staff was blessed to have a once in a generation senior class with great talent. So next few years will determine if they can coach or they were bailed out bc of the talented kids that surrounding them. That is if coach doesn’t bolt for a another job.

It’s good to see a staff that capitalizes on having talent. Here is another thing the Juniors coming back have played 40 weeks of football those extra weeks of practice go a long way in play development and maturity.

Who are some of the teams other than s Pitt, lake co, Huntington, and greenback that could make a run at the title next year. Who could be the next to duplicate  c’ville and whitwell last two yrs.

Whitwell will be a top 7 team next year, don’t see them beating Pitt but has the line to stay relevant next year. Pitt is the favorite in the east but if Greenback borrows Roy’s goat again they could definitely have a say.

WingoVFL’s pictures might mean more to me if they would have called penalties fairly. Whitwell got away with stuff all game while our team was called for penalties both real and imagined. No one will ever convince me this game was officiated fairly. Your UCF idea isn’t as bad as it sounds. We know we have the better team and so does Whitwell.

Perfect Cornersville Bulldogs the 2018 “Imaginary” State Champs. That banner will look great at your field. Make sure the words treated unfair are on there also

You are utilizing a common debate tactic by making this about me instead of the game.  Instead of trying to be an amateur psychiatrist, stick to debating the points I have made.

The points are the same ones you have been crying about since the game. @WingoVFL showed the pictures. I don’t think USA Today doctored those photos. You keep crying horse collar but watch the replay, his hands are inside the jersey and doesn’t pull the runner backwards. Both of which have to happen for a horse collar to be called. Two things you can do, accept it and move on knowing as Whitwell does that your team fought tooth and nail and did something your school has never done before this group of seniors or keep crying about how life is unfair, if it’s that bad tell the school to send the silver ball back and pull a UCF and claim an imaginary title

Calling out fraud is not the same as making excuses. Why should we roll over and take it without saying a word?

Making up crazy acquisitions is. Pitts posters didn’t cry fraud either time, Greenback didn’t in the semifinals. If the game traumatized you that much please step away from the computer and find your safe spot.
