Kitty - I think just the opposite. My Vikings might have lost this one but I think they created a ton of new wrestling fans last night in Bristol. That place was electric! No matter which team you were cheering for it was a great experience!

What's that even mean? Which match did SH lose that they shouldn't have "on paper"?

I wouldn't count out THS just yet. They have a knack of showing up in the post season, remember last season when SH stompped them in reg season then THS reversed that result, twice. SH won it tonight on two pivotal matches 160 and the 195 match which actually occurred @ 220 after both wrestlers were bumped up. I don't see SH duplicating the 220 match, Spangler didn't look himself tonight. The 60 match could go either way. Swap those two and the match goes to TN 33-30. Should make Region Duals exciting. Loved the set up that the THS folks put together tonight. One of the best matches I've seen in a long time and it has developed into a great rivalry. Wrestling is relevant again in East Tennessee!

Why don't you run this even on Track?

Tennessee High with a good showing among several top 10 teams. Five finalist and three champions. Not bad. Also I can't help but believe it would have been different if they weren't missing one of their starters, a returning state placer. Great job Vikings!!

Nice to see Tennessee High mixing it up with all those state champion teams! Could this be the year that the Big Maroon Machine brings its first championship to Bristol?

I wasn't implying that Beech isn't good. I was making a point that the good teams find a way to win as they did in this situation.

Last year Tennessee High gave everyone an 18 point cushion (and many times 24) and still won a Region Championship and placed 3rd at State Duals. I feel like a top tier team should be able to win even missing a kid here or there.
