Temple choking Wednesday against Middleton greatly mimicks that of the Greatest Choke on Turf( Rams losing to Pats in Super Bowl). Temple was so highly regarded and so full of themselves that they forgot about having to actually beat their opponents in order to win. Temple thought just because they showed up at the Murphy center that the other teams were going to lay down. Well that didn't happen. Temple got punked out by a game Middleton squad and all the Temple supporters can do is wallow in the pity of losing instead of bucking up and saying we were wrong for pumping our team up show much. Temple's loss was not the teams fault but rather the fans and media's fault because you all made them believe they were unbeatable and it made them prime for the beating that they took. Middleton is obviously better than Temple but most of you just can't hack it. I'll be glad when people stop thinking because you only lost 1 game this year that you were better than everyone else. It is painfully obvious that you all will be here this time next year talking about how great Temple is and how they are the best team in the ststae and that will set up another beating like they took this year. Sit back and enjoy the view while everyone else finishes up they're state tournament.

The problem with what you all are saying is that if Temple had won you would all be on here saying how great they really were, but because they lost and you can't hack it you get oon here and say let's commend Temple on a great season and let's not call Kids out by name. If you had won, your post would look like this: Temple proved today that hey are the #1 team in the state and Caleb Skogen is undoubtedly the Class A Mr. Basketball. Temple and Skogen are probably the best team and player in the state and probably cold beat any team at the state tournament. You all are the most unbelieveable idiots on the face of the earth and you should be banned from ever following high school basketball again.

The only idiot are those of you that think Temple is the number 1 team in the state. You are all alot more ignorant than I thought. Temple stinks. They were so hyped and they came up short. Th Skogen boys aren't so great after all. Maybe when they get back to Chattanoga without the Trophy you all can throw a party for them having a great season and being the number one team in the state. youall are the worst excuse for fans I have ever seen. you get on here and say Temple can't be beat and then when they get beat all you can muster is Temple should be commened for a great season. they are a bunch of chokers especially the Skogen kids. I hate it for all of you who can't hack taking a loss. Next time maybe instead of crowing your team the champions you will wait until the first game is played to see if you get the chance. For those who are saying not to talk about individual players I agree, unless someone has mentioned them in a previous post and you are responding to that. I am responding to the Fans from Temple that posted that Temple would beat Middleton and how they were the best team in the state. You were all wrong so just stink it up and stop whining. Second, I'm not from Middleton. I graduated from Peabody High School. I lived in Middleton when i was young and have always followed their basketball program. I saw Middleton play in the Substate, and I was very impressed even though they didn't play that well. When they beat Clarksburg in the region 112-53, I knew that we were looking at another team like Middleton had back in the early 90s (State Tournament 91-93, state Chmaps - 92). Middleton is good and no matter what you think about Class A basketball in East Tennessee you don't play the competition that the West or Middle Tennessee teams do. I told you before they played that you better be very wary of Middleton because they were better than anyone has given them credit. Finally, those of you who got on here an wrote that Temple was the best team in the state, should apologize for being so sure that Temple was the greatest team in Class A, and quit trying to play it off by saying that Temple should be commened on a great season instead of saying they choked because that is what happened. The Skogen boys might be great players in East TN but in West TN they ould just be names in a boxscore, because the only name the boys from Middleton care about is Middleton. They are proud to represent them part of the Middleton Tigers Basketball team.

If you all will stop arguing and just look at what happened yesterday you will see that Ezell does't have a shot in this world of beating Middleton. I have seen Middleton play and I listened yesterday and I don't think any team left in the Tournamnet. Middleton will do to Ezell what they did to Temple yesterday, Run them up and down the floor and smother them with defense. Just becuase you think the competition where you are is tougher don't cout on it. Middleton lost one game to class a competition. Peabody has an excellent shot at beating Wayne Co. if they continue playing the way they have since the district tournament. Final should be Middleton vs Peabody Good Luck West TN teams.

I guess Temple is so good that the other 7 teams might as well not show up. I hate for all of who think that Temple is going to cruise to victory, because you are going to be surprised. Middleton plays 10-12 guys a guy game with no real difference in talent level. I hope that the Temple parents and players aren't counting on anything solid because Middleton is good and you are going to becaught off guard. In response to All Peabody has is Doaks post, You hvaen't seen them play. In the subststate, Doaks wasn't Peabody's leading scorer. Greg Ramsey and robert Yancy are also players to watch. Mack Ashburn off the bench can change a game to if he hits on the 3s. Good Luck to everyone.

Middleton has a really good chance to win it all. I saw them play in the Substate against Lake County. I was very impressed. I also Peabody play before Christmas. They are really good when they play as a team. It seems like they have reallly come together in the postseason. Middleton is 10 or 12 deep, runs the floor better than any high school team I have ever seen and can play any style of basketball. Those who think that Temple is already crownd Champion might want to rethink they're position. The last time that Middleton had a season like this they won the state. They aren't big or overpowering but very athletic and tough to beat.
