  1. DoreFan, you were a part of some very good teams. Some of the "others" that you mentioned were outstanding "role players" who were also state placers including Brian Larimer, Ethan Elzen, and Clyde Clemons. Coach Gabriel had some VERY SOLID teams from top to bottom during the late 90's!

  2. I had never heard of the Milasauskas kid until last night when I was looking at some scores and saw that he majored Henderson. The score alone was enough for me to realize that he is an OUTSTANDING wrestler. But when I looked at last years SC Upstate AAA state championship 126lb results, it shows #1 seed Chad Milasauskas from Indian Land HS being "upset" by #2 seed Jared Smith from West Oak HS by a 2-1 score. If this is true, that would make him a SC State Runner-Up and not SC State Champion.

Just a question. Why is East TN so top heavy? Teams like Greenville, alcoa,Maryville,Knox Catholic,Fulton. Is it because there's less schools and not as many private schools? Just a question ive been wondering.

I think you are exactly right FBfan. There aren't very many private schools up East compared to the Middle TN area. The private schools get some of the "elite" athletes near Nashville while they are more likely to stay at their district school in ETN IMO.

Where’s the Springfield fans? Are they swarming somewhere else? Hey

We are still here DevilMan. I have been very impressed with y'alls team, your O way more so than your D. I know we've only scored 7, but we had a couple of chances to score early in the game and "shot ourselves in the foot" and were able to run a little more than I expected us to be able to. Great job Greeneville and Congratulations.

  5. KRider, I'm willing to bet the farm that 15yr old man/boy you call a son is in the finals. He got a very nice draw. What he does in that finals match against Noe/Olinger is what counts. If he wrestles well, it could just be one of a few he wins. I enjoy watching him wrestle. Just make sure you get there early and Getcha a good seat. :)

  6. Agreed, was actually debating Henderson and Kligensmith. Even though Henderson has whipped him a couple times, I chose Kligensmith bc I liked his side of the bracket better aside from his first rd match with Helton and they're not wrestling each other. Actually think both will surprise some people this weekend.

  7. Thank you MrFix. Bet you really like my 70 and 95 picks :) I spent a little time on them before throwing names out and tried not to pick obvious choices outside of Teaster and Lundy, who often gets overlooked bc of Landers and Mc.

  8. Bump, I liked several of your bracket buster picks. You made it difficult to offer 2 more so I'm gonna offer just one in most wgts in addition to your two.

    106- Thomas(Summ) and Seeley(SH)

    113- Pendley(TN)

    120- Nielson(Halls)

    126- Kligensmith(Summ)

132- Lundy(EH) and Schnedler(Indy) disclaimer: Lundy prob shouldn't qualify as a bracket buster but he did finish third in his region so I'm taking him. :)

    138-Can't disagree with Phillips(Arl) or Freeman(Rave).

145- Harter(TN) and Teaster(Heri) I Think Teaster could possibly be in finals if he was in the bottom side of the bracket!

    152- Brown(Leb) I liked the Bonee(Tull) pick as well.

    160- Strong(HL)I really like the Garrett(Beech) pick!

    170- Maynor(SD)

182- Carney(Summ) IMO, you took the best two with Moore(Arl) and Williams(Clk).

195- Settles(SD) you took the best two again with Medina(SH) and Miller(McG)

220- Scott(TN) Bump, you're pretty good at picking the big guys. Roaten(Arl) and Barbour(NW) should do well.

285- Ellis(SevCo) and Salyers(DB) may surprise some people. They're not beating Boykin or "Little" Kramer but I think everyone else may be fair game.
