First of all, I haven’t complained one time about these rankings. Second, no one knows anything about me either. Third, Pin-Tn has been this way with the girls ranking for at least the last 3 years. Fourth, I have a daughter that is a Junior and wrestles. Oh bye the way she is good and is already a state champion. Last but not least, I keep up with every girl in TN, every state that supports girls wrestling, the National ranking as well as college. She plans on wresting in college. If this gets under your skin, oh well, I only stated the truth.

are the only options for who the daughter could be.
And since Wysinger is not currently ranked on Pin-10 then that might be the best choice to guess they are talking about.

Might have said Pate but she is a senior now.

Cougar, sometimes you gotta think outside the box. SMOKED didnt say she won her championship last season, he just said "she is good and is already a state champion". IF Papa Smoke is telling the truth, there are DEF other options than the 4 you listed. She may be 1-1 in state championship matches having lost a close decision last yr after winning it her freshman year. Idk PapaSmoke but I'm thinking he may have a "uncle Harold", who back in the day played MLB for several organizations, most notably the Chicago White Sox :)

I think these guys are locks to win

    106- Cordero (Cleveland)

    113- Mason Jakob (Dobyns Bennit)

    120- Bryson Terrell (Bradley)

    126- Jarvis Little (Summit)

    132- Ethan Lipsey (Bradley)

    138- Landon Desselle (Summit)

    145- Luke Beltcher (Bradley)

    152- Fowler (Cleveland)

    160- Max Norman (Dobyns Bennit)

    170-

    182-

    195- Devon Medina (Science Hill)

220- Top 3 will be fun to watch play out

    285- Hayden McDonald (Maryville)

Pride, no love for Brenot? Personally, he would be one of my top few "favorites" if I could pick the favorite and give you "the field". Granted, anything can happen and that's why they wrestle it out, but that's just my opinion.

Probably thinking Mason Jakob, Max and Crowder. Crowder might be a stretch for 1st but if it happened it wouldn't surprise me. It would surprise the heck out of me if Max didn't win it.

Makes more sense that what I said. Hopefully we'll get to see Crowder and Todd match up at the duals. Could very well be a preview of the finals. Should be a very good team dual and probably the closest of the first round matchups.

    I don't see Wilson beating Dobyns-Bennett.

Dobyns-Bennett prob had 3 state champs on their team this year from what I have seen. Then a few more that will place.

I don't see them getting past the second round, but I don't think Wilson has enough this year.

Rasslinking beat me to it. There are 2 that are DEF in the convo and should be in the finals and could win it.  Just curious who's your 3rd? 26 or 32??? Place ok, I'll go for that. Win it, not yet for lil bro.

Booger just sayin Airboat Land Use on Make a GIF

Yeah, that jog ain't an option, too close to young Boo's nest... was kinda confused when Boog said "that far" bc I know Booger is in the nose on these type of things...guess 25 miles one way ain't too far to drive every day...

  6. At 120, Terrell and Schaefer should be the 1 and 2 seeds and meet in the finals. Dont let the #5 Indiana ranking fool you, the kid is a hammer. I want to see how Terrell does against Schaefer, especially being he didnt get to wrestle Raney in the finals at Ryan this past weekend.

138 seeds seem off with Desselle being a returning champ here and medaling at Beast of the East and Maholtz didnt but 126 seeds ARE off. How did Ellison get seeded higher than Jarvis Little? They have a head to head just a few weeks ago

Finish chewing your food and swallow your drink, I dont want anyone choking. I was told it was bc his "track ranking" was higher. Not kidding. To be even more specific, I was told pretty much the entire tournament was seeded by "track rankings". Not sure how accurate this is, but it does apply in the Jarvis and Bentley situation bc that's one that caught my attention as well. 2 seed and 3 seed dont matter near as much as 3 and 4 do, but a H2H win is a H2H win.

Reese Levendusky from Montgomery Central is being overlooked at 132 for the TSSAA A Rankings. He's 24-1 on the season and has head to heads against #2 Carter Cisco and #6 Jordan Gainey. He was the Section 4 Class A champ last year and beat Cisco in the semis of that event. He beat Gainey last year by fall and beat him again last weekend by first period fall in the finals of the Bruise Brothers Brawl in Springfield. In fact, Levendusky scored a first period fall in every match last weekend. His only loss this year is a major decision to returning state medalist Russell Ford. Every other win he has this year is a bonus win (major or fall). His only losses at State last year were to two state medalists. One of the matches was a 6-3 loss in a highly competitive match with #4 (at 138) Cooper Johnson. Please make sure Reese is on your radar for the next ranking. Thank you!

Reese, as WG already stated, you're little late for this thread. Hamm's rankings are fun to look at for discussion purposes but mean absolutely nothing come February. Keep beating the kids you're supposed to and picking off the ones ranked above you. Eventually you'll be ranked. You may even have to wait until February, but those are the only rankings that matter anyway. Good Luck Reese. All of South MontCo is pulling for you!

Summit had a great tournament. Little and Desselle picking up medals is big time no matter what the weight. Working through a 64 man bracket is never easy.

DB getting their freshman a medal in a tough 113 bracket is big time for him. Really puts him on the national stage, hopefully they will continue to give him the opportunities. For all the talk of Max Norman’s greatness we didn’t really see it this weekend, I would have expected a medal with who people say he is.

Hatter, Max was the #14 seed, went 3-2 while beating the 3 seed, and his losses were to the runner up and 4th place. Not like he had a bad tournament. Also, hes just a sophomore and wrestling some GFM's. Not as easy to place there for an underclassman as it is in the lightweights where underclassman often reign supreme. No, Max isn't the 2nd coming of Gable or Cael but hes gonna be just fine.

Dawson, where do you go to school? I will personally see to it that Coach Hamm comes and watches you wrestle.

Oh Dawson, I about forgot. Welcome to the "T" and keep up the hard work kiddo. We're all cheering for you this season!!!

Everyone knows that the Al Dvorak Tournament is not the same caliber of tournament as the Beast of The East but it is a solid high school wrestling tournament.  I have little doubt that it would be more difficult than the Tennessee State Tournament.

Not saying that, just saying that in my initial prediction I had (1) Powe brother winning their wgt class. My last post was saying that if Cleveland and DB aren't at Bradley, then I may need to change my prediction to at least 2 Powe Bros. The Powe Bros now have a MUCH better shot at winning 152 and 113 as well. Not saying this happens, but you very easily could have 3 Uhorchuk bros win AND 3 Powe bros win IF Cleveland and DB are not here.

  12. ⁹My thoughts/ predictions on this tournament:

1)Uhorchuks Bros win all 3 wgt classes ( I know, I really went out on a limb there)

    2) Powe Bros win 1 (145)

    3) There will be several real good matchups in the semis that i would like to see, obviously finals as well. I do NOT think 182 will be one of those weight classes (Brenot in a league of his own).

    4) Mason Jakob will move up from his #6 ranking after Saturday.

    5) Max wins 152 and OW

Im not upset. It pains me to speak well of BA, I just have never seen anything like it. I don't need to watch the video, I was there if it was the one in clarksville. After watching the games this weekend, I can easily say there were no better players than Will Bartholomew and Travis Stephens on any of those teams. If i recall, Bartholomew was not close to being the biggest guy on his team and he isn't small. Don't think i would ever call Travis Stephens or Tim Terry slow either. Generalizations are too vague. It wouldn't be accurate for me to assume every kid is soft now, just because the game itself is softer now. A lot of the kids i saw this weekend would get hurt playing some of these "small, slow" guys.

If I have my years right, that NE team that was so explosive had a 2 headed monster in the backfield. They had Travis Stephens who was great by himself but they also had Marcus Gildersleeve as well who went on to play at Va Tech. Those 2 together in the same backfield were virtually unstoppable for a high school defense, which shows how good the BA defense that year was.

Didn't Oakland lose to CPA 35-14? LA just beat CPA 42-0. LA also beat Thompson AL who just won 7A State Title, and Milton, GA who is playing for 7A title next week. Oakland has a great team, but no way the beat LA, BA, Ensowrth, Baylor, McCallie, or MBA. Don't think any of those scores would be close either.

I understand your point, just wanted to clarify that Milton got beat 48-14 by Mill Creek on Friday night in the semis. Milton finished their season with a 10-4 record.

It was tough. But let’s say it was 14-14 there. Oakland still showed they were better. That makes it a closer game but it was always Oakland. Even if it finished 24-21

Yeah, NO DOUBT Oakland was the better team today and this season. I believe Oakland would have still won had Beech scored and got a 2pt conversion to make it 14-14. They've been the best public team in the state for the last few yrs and that's not up for debate.  Just saying that I think the score would be ALOT closer had Beech scored, and we wouldnt have seen a running clock.

Not surprised at all that Oakland won, but I am a bit surprised by the score. Was thinking maybe 28-10, not a mercy rule. They really are just on a whole different level.

Still think a game between them and Knox West would be interesting.

Racer, IMO the final score was very misleading. You're a questionable 4th down spot from having a VERY different game and totally different score. If Beech gets the first down at the Oakland 4 AND scores, the game trajectory is totally different. Beech didnt play a bad game, BUT the last 9 minutes or so of the 3rd qtr were HORRENDOUS for them. I know you play 48 minutes and not 41, but I honestly believe those 9 minutes would've been totally different had they converted on 4th down. And no, I dont wear Shackle Island googles.
