according to Appendix II of the Rule book, which is entitled Record Keeping: so if a shot bounces over the goal or just to the side without making contact with the goalie, it should not be recorded as a shot on goal. This also means that hitting the pipe is not a save. Some leniency has to be given to the stat keeper, because you cant see everything, everytime ... but if you are counting every wide shot and every pipe, its not fair to the other goalies in the state

I played with Abernathy over the summer at goalie camp and agree that he is a solid goalie. Also he is a 2nd year starter as a sophomore, so in the next two years that experience should help him alot. Rainer is clearly the best this year, and ill add that taylor has played some good games too.
