Before Central beat Sweetwater the way they did, I would have thought Meigs would have won by a couple scores. Considering the Sweetwater game now It will probably be a close game.
I’m with you, after Central lost to SM and squeaked by Polk and Brainerd, I thought this game wouldn’t be close but maybe they have figured some things out. But I still think Meigs by a couple scores. But we have a big game Friday night to win first.

That would be a huge upset if Meigs hangs on and beats Stone.

I will be really surprised if that’s the score. Central lost to SM and Hixson beat SM. I’m thinking that Central is down from last year, but I could be wrong. We are fixing to find out.
I guess I was wrong

Good drive right there, 25-20 Stone. We need to get a stop right here.

We don't have the intensity we had the first half. It's not looking good.
No, but that was a catch for a first down, line judge called it a completion and the guy runs all the way across the field to call it incomplete

Some home cooking going on here.

Score
14-13 Meigs at the half

Folks we have a game here, 14-13 Meigs at the half. Meigs has dominated so far, Stone scored on a pick 6 and on a penalty that I don’t think I have ever seen called before.

Did Sweetwater forget to come at play?

I haven’t got to see Central play this year but the Signal Mountain loss is starting to look like a bad one, Sweetwater rolls in this one. 28-7

Now dewayne, sweetwater has won 5 out of the last 6 district championships in basketball and won our region in football last year. You gotta be talking about girls basketball. Because as far as the boys side sweetwater has been dominant in basketball and baseball. I’m here yeti and finding out you went to Sequoyah makes more sense now about you rooting them on haha. We have good backs and a good line, I’m still wishing we would start our freshman at qb. The current starter (coach’s son) isn’t a threat to run or throw really and it’s a shame because we have weapons who can go get the football
Yes I’m revering to girls basketball always coming to Meige and Central, but Meige biggest rival is Central in all sports, not sure how it started but it has been for as l can remember.

Central in a close one, but really surprised with the score of the Central/Polk game. Central should have won going away.

I’m sure Rhea is the one dodging Meigs. Lol. As far as difficulty scheduling is concerned, I’m sure there are plenty of Knoxville area schools that are willing to play in any sport
I’ve been told that Meigs has tried to schedule basketball but Rhea is unwilling, not dodging just not happy that kids are learning, and we have scheduled Knoxville teams, and driving tow hours to play teams when a good program is 20 minutes away, think about it, why would Meigs go all the way to white Co to play when we have all the schools around us.

Maybe In basketball, I don't know so much about it coming down to central in football for a little while now lol. Like I said though I've always thought Meigs and rhea County would br rivals/ kinda like Central and mcminn wete
From what I’ve heard Rhea won’t play Meigs in anything for the fact that Rhea loses kids to Meigs, and they don’t like it, I would say they’re some truth to it because we struggle to get schools to play us in Girls basketball, but there’s a big school 20 minutes away and we never play them.

That makes sense! It's always been hard for me to gauge Meigs county rivalry where they are a one county school. I figured it was central or sweetwater. But I'm surprised they don't have one with maybe rhea County,Chattanooga central, or midway.
It’s been Central for years, it always seems to come down to Meigs or Central in basketball or football in the district or region for as long as I can remember.

I think Meigs is the front runner followed by Sweetwater, then probably Tyner and Central, Brainerd, Chattanooga Central.
Give me some picks on the finish.

Mcminn Central Chargers vs Meigs County Tigers

I can see a team struggling without their QB or a key running back but not usually a receiver. It should like the key to beating Central is stopping Masingale.
