I'm excited for the season to start and a little anxious too. South Greene returns all but one and they play fast. I really don't see anyone out running or out hustling, but they have a couple injuries to get through. I haven't heard anything on one of the players, but the other should be back by the first of the year. They also gained some talented freshman but I'm not sure how it all plays in.  I'll know more by Thanksgiving. South Greene has always filled their schedule with AA and AAA schools, so they know what the competition is like. I think they will be competitive from the beginning of the season, but I won't be too concerned if they have some hiccups. Several girls are going to have to pick up new positions to fill the missing shoes while they're out.

I think South Green will be just fine. When your really aggressive you can beat anyone. In the East South Green, McMinn Central and Meigs will all be playing substate games IMO.

Meigs County fans are on a high horse.

Not on a high horse here. Just stating the fact that both teams have played week schedules. Not just Meigs. Don't know how that makes me on my high horse. Meigs schedule all 3A schools and above.  Can help if schools are down. So before HV fans get on here and say Meigs has played a mickey mouse region. I think they need to look at their own.

It somehow escaped me until yesterday what a mickey mouse region Meigs was in. They somehow escaped Marion AND Tyner. Wow

The same can be said about HV. Played one good team Grace. And don't give me Johnson County. They barely beat Hampton. And Rockwood beat Hampton by 4 TDs" and Meigs blew out Rockwood. Meigs did beat Sequatchie County who beat Marion. We could do this all day but it means nothing. We will know tomorrow night when those young men decide it on the field. Safe travels to HV fans and be careful in Knoxville from about 3:30 to 6:00 traffic is really bad at that time.

Oneida score was about the same.  Both defenses are strong.  Hv strength is their run def.  Hv causes turnovers.  That's the key who ever turns it over will lose.  Hv 21 to 20

Meigs had to drive 2 hours to play Oneida and had no school that Friday. Had 2 TDs" called back on penalties. HV played at home.  That makes a big difference. It's hard to compare scores. Meigs doesn't turn the ball over much. And I think there will be a lot of penalties. Meigs love the big hit and it sounds like HV does as well. Coaches will have to keep their players composed.

    Meigs by 3 TDs"

I agree,Meigs D averages giving up around 9 pts a game for the season

Nothing against the JV. But most of those points were scored against them. I think the varsity gave up around 70 points on the years. In a 11 games. Which could probably be said about HV to. I think both teams have played about the same schedule. Maybe 3 or 4 quality teams. With Grace being the best for HV. And Sequatchie for Meigs.
