That seems to be a problem with live streaming. Write and complain. They'll get the nerds, who obviously don't understand the importance of the scoreboard or much else, to focus on the score during timeouts, etc.
It works.
No way will I take your advice. Sorry. The people who broadcast Oak Ridge sports are solid, 100% dedicated to making the sports program the best. I would go crazy with out Oak Ridge sports on the computer.

First, I need to apologize for not posting info on the 2021 Nike Tournament of Champions before now. I did all the research but never put it up on CoachT.
The Liberty team that beat OR Saturday is 8 - 0 and ranked #2 in Nevada according to MaxPrep. They were taller than us and could drain the 3 ball. Our Freshmen players fought hard. The Refs let the pay get rough but our girls were up to the challenge. Clary and the broadcast team were under a lot of pressure but they did manage to stream the game and put it up on the YouTube Prepradio.com channel.
******* E D I T *******
OR will play Shadow Mountain, CA
Monday at 5:00 the Lady Wildcats play Rancho Christian from Temecula. CA. They are 8 - 6 on the season and riding a four game winless skid. They only have one 6 footer and that should help our small but quick Wildcats.
Clary is hoping to stream the game so when the Five O'Clock Whistle Blows, get home and support the Lady Wildcats.

Edit: Begins Monday, December 27!
We're especially excited, since last year's tourney was cancelled, due to Covid. Thankfully, the protocols are much different this year!
I'll be pulling for all four GreenE County teams and of course, GreenEville. Greeneville's number 10, Lauren Bailey, made All-state last year as a sophomore.
Two years ago, I had the chance to see Upperman, in the Ladies Classic, when their post, Abigail Johnson, was a freshman. She didn't play like one. This year, I saw Upperman at the Lakeway Academy tourney on opening day. Looking forward to watching them play again. Will also be keeping an eye on Crouch and Cobb.
I count myself among those Greene County residents who are proud of this tournament, that is very rich in history, and hope to attend as many games as possible!
Best of luck and good fortune to everyone!
All the peo
ple in Greene County should be proud of this Tournament. Well run and puts the players first. Thank you for this tournament.
FYI, your tournament is much better than the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, Arizona. I watched Oak Ridge play Liberty, Nevada on the computer Saturday mourning and the final score was was either Liberty 79 Oak Ridge 70 or Liberty 75 Oak Ridge 70. Just because you have Nike $$$ behind you doesn't mean you don't have to keep up with the the score!! LOL

Brandon Heyward has been offered by the University of Arkansas.

That’s a great idea Willie. We’ll need those guys at Catholic in a few years. LOL
LOL, how have you been Irish?
After 8th grade at St. Mary's my Dad asked me if I wanted to go to Jefferson, Webb or Catholic. I knew I was
too odd and wouldn't fit in at Webb. No way was I going to Catholic after being whipped for eight years by Nuns with Rosary Beads. I knew I could make the basketball team at Jefferson so I became an Eagle.
No way should an Oak Ridge Catholic boy want to leave Oak Ridge. OR has it all.
Best of luck to Catholic b-ball this year.

Thanks for the heads up. We just watched it and are looking forward to more Wildcat Football!
RWR!
You are welcome. BBBTV12 is quickly becoming a go to web site. I can wait on football for a little bit. I am all OR basketball and Soccer for now. Of course, football is my favorite

Alan Beauchamp talked to Scott Cummings on BBBTV12 and it was very interesting. They touched on the AC situation and how he would want to fill out the coaching staff.

I like that too, I remember way back in the day that Elm Grove had a team, The catch is they need to get the numbers up for all elementary schools to have a team at each age level.
I went to St.Mary's but played youth football for Cedar Hill. If they do try and go back to Elementary teams please include the kids at St.Mary's somehow. I mean a real effort to get them involved. Not just a one minute talk during P.E class. Actually make contacts with the Parents and make them feel welcomed and needed.

Hearing the smoke will blow white in Oak Ridge tomorrow.
Announcement imminent.
Jackie Pope is being named Head Coach. It is a miracle.

Oak Ridge will be loaded with question marks but with talent to work with. The schedule will be brutal again so expect some defeats but hopefully the Wildcats will improve as the season rolls along.
Powell will have lots of talent but will they handle the pressure of having the bulleye on their back.
I like Rhea County, West and Henry County as well.

Sarah Burton is a player to keep an eye on. The Clinton Lady Dragon scored 54 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and 6 steals in a victory over Karns. She plays in Class AAA.
I will try to keep up with her.
Sarah has become the All-time leading scorer in Clinton High Girls basketball.
FYI, Oak Ridge's all-time girls scorer is Keke Stewart. Keke is the sister of NFL player Tee Higgins. Her daughter is a freshmen on the team this season.

As we've said many times this silly season, this is when we find out if our admin, school board and city leaders are willing to do what it takes and make the changes necessary for OR football to be good at football again. We have the roster, that's a plus.
What does the word " Good " mean? In 2020, OR finished second in the state. That is good to me. Now, after one season OR is no longer " good." I don't understand.

mer OR coaches that were not retained. This is really making it difficult to get a decent coNo, you are correct, we do have a a guy (for now) that teaches at Norwood and we have a couple of retired volunteers. Then, we have certified teachers in the bldg that do coach at OR. And we have 3 (4 at times) in the building that take home a OR paycheck and then go coach against us. Right now, we have 5 teaching positions being held by coaches for other teams or by for

Interesting.
Doesn't a girls basketball coach teach in a different school system? Not Head Coach Taylor but one of the others.

If nobody leaves the new coach will have issues trying to hire his assistants. just saying
Is there some sort of unwritten code that says when a Head Coach leaves his Assistant coaches offer to leave as well? I am just curious,

Thank god it appears the Lockdown is going to end as best as could be.

Tuesday night, the Lady Wildcats travel to Powell. The Lady Cats are coached by Paige Taylor who has a seven year record of 169 - 31.
Powell is led in scoring by Reagan Trumm. I believe Trumm is the state's leading 3 ball shooter. This season she has scored 23 vs William Blount and 32 against Jefferson County. Included in those 32 points are 5 3's.
-
Tuesday night, Coach Aaron Green takes the Wildcats to Powell to face the Panthers. Coach Green is the winningest boys basketball coach at Oak Ridge with an 11 year record of 306 - 58.

I was on twitter yesterday and Brian Kelly posted a video of himself benching 300 pounds. It was great to see a player already getting ready for next season and setting a super example. RWR!
We are blessed to have the kids we do in Oak Ridge.

Oak Ridge will play Mesa, AZ. unapproved website ranks them #25 in Arizona. Mesa lost on Saturday to Bishop O'Dowd 32 - 52 and defeated Mesquite 42 - 29 today.
Maxprep has an incomplete Mesa roster which has several players 5' 10" and one 5' 11 girl. Should be a tough game for OR. The freshmen players are going to have to keep improving.
