It’s GAMEDAY. This is normally the time when I would post something about the Dawgs putting a cobra Kai style beat down and n their opponent or sweeping the leg. But this thread (and whole season for that matter) just hasn’t seemed right or been the same without my #1 partner in crime @PeabodyPride  I hope this game is played in a way by both sides tonight that would make him proud. Enjoy it from your seat in Heaven tonight bro.

Just class. I tip my hat. @PeabodyPride. You know BPM stank even from heaven...

Ya never know man. The old region 7 usually had a surprise every Friday. Back in 2017 you never knew who was going to win. I would have lost money on a couple of games then. I think Peabody has a chance. Milan is due a bad game.

I have had to eat crow a ton. It sucks. Crow is nasty.

Lots of people can argue about it. The question remains, is their argument worthy.

Fair enough. I always look at it like would the #6 team be favored over the #5 team on a neutral field. If the answer in my mind is no. Then, they are where they should be.

Lots of teams with bye weeks last week so not much movement. Coming down to the wire. Are these the 10 best teams in rural west tn??

    Who can argue this?

I’m a Milan fan. Probably the biggest there is. But I won’t sugar coat their wrong doings. If their wrong I will admit it. Now don’t misunderstand. The Stanks did some things wrong as well. But it was started by Milan. Gotta corral that stuff in.

Anyone that can not respect this is a chump. !00% respect. Calling a spade a spade even when it one of yours.

Yes it should be. My man Bigpun does the live stream on TLN live

Thanks. It was good game. Glad I was able to watch it. I think this region belongs to the Mustangs now. I originally picked the Panther, but after this game it is clearly the Mustangs. However, when these 2 teams meet in the playoffs you could see a totally different Riverside team (must clean up the sloppy play)... Those boys are tough and well coached. I would not put it past the Panthers to beat the Stanks in the playoffs.

The Grind is good. But Blake’s at Southern Milling is better. That’s my go to spot. Chinese buffet in Martin is good too. But I am banned from there. Lol.

Do you care to elaborate on the reason why you are banned from this fine establishment?

Was it the fact your nearly bankrupted them last time you were there to eat?

Was it the fact that your sister was so ugly you almost bankrupted them because people could not stand the sight of her last time you were there to eat?

Was it the fact that your dawgs stunk soo bad that you almost bankrupted them trying to get rid of the smell last time you were there to eat?

HAHAHA! I fully understand the task at hand... I am about to have to pay for longhorns... What a stupid idea on my part. I will never make this mistake again. That bill is going to hurt my feelings.

    3.  JCS 6-0 W 41-0 over Tipton Rosemark

    4.  Riverside 5-1 W 36-34 over TCA

    T5.  Hardin Co  6-0 W 21-14 PURE Youth Academy

    T5.  Dresden 6-0 W 28-14 over Obion

    7.  Munford 5-1 W 71-0 over Kingsbury

    8.  McKenzie 5-1 W 63-0 over Bruceton

    9.  Huntingdung 4-1 W 32-14 over Milan

    10.  Haywood 5-1 W 42-0 over Maplewood

Outside Looking In:  Covington 4-2, Milan 5-1, Union City 4-2, Westview 4-2, Crockett 4-2, TCA 3-3, USJ 4-2, Obion 4-2

Several of the top teams struggled last week   The team that impressed me the most was JCS with a running clock shut out over a previously unbeaten team.  I feel like Huntingdung is poised to make a big jump in the poll if they pull off the win this week over Riverside.  As much as I hate to say it they looked good in their win over Milan  I just had trouble moving them up when McKenzie beat them and Dresden dominated McKenzie.  But another big win and there is no way around it  Stanks have a good team  So what do you think folks?  Are these the top 10 teams in rural west TN??

Where is Gleason on this list?

Honestly didn’t see this coming, homecoming is always a big distraction glad the boys righted the ship and snuck out with a win.  really think they needed a game like this to be humbled a bit and refocus with a Huge game next week. TCA really targeted riversides weakness through the air and an option game that riverside gave up huge plays on.

I appreciate humble. You are a rare bird. Sometime you must eat your crow, and I respect when someone just owns it. Tip my hat, sir.

everyone was but I knew TCA has talent. Honestly surprised that Riverside actually came back. Good job both sides

No doubt about it. We can talk, and speculate all we want around the water cooler, and on the T, but at the end of the day the boys must strap it up and play ball. Sounds like the boys in purple showed up ready to play tonight!

They should get the Amish to come in and help us with our fields. Who else has a green yard in November

    playing on plastic grass stinks

Yes, and Yes. I have never been a fan. It looks fancy to have logos of the local factory on the field but the risk of playing on it does not outweigh the benefits.

  12. I have had this exact same opinion for years. All of the upsides to having turf do NOT outweigh player safety. To heck with turf! Natural grass! Thoughts?

Executive director Lloyd Howell issued a statement Wednesday morning saying NFL players “overwhelming prefer it and the data is clear that grass is simply safer than artificial turf. It is an issue that has been near the top of the players’ list during my team visits and one I have raised with the NFL.”

The players’ union called for the change less than 48 hours after a season-ending injury to four-time NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers tore his left Achilles tendon in his debut with the New York Jets on Monday night.

Howell said in his statement they know there is an investment to making such a change. But he said there’s a bigger cost to the NFL if the league keeps losing its best players to “unnecessary injuries.” He noted the NFL flips surfaces to grass for World Cup or soccer exhibitions.

“But artificial surfaces are acceptable for our own players,” Howell said. “This is worth the investment and it simply needs to change now.

Great list, BPM. Shout out to Milan for being 4-0. Wouldn’t have bet that in the preseason but you never can count out them Dawgs.

I think JCS is very worthy as well. They have a future SEC player in Mosley, other good playmakers and a line that got push against a much bigger Goodpasture squad on the road in Nashville then whipped USJ. They’ve proven it on the field.

I kind of felt this was going to happen, but JC let me down the last few years... Looks like they have figured it out and will be the team to beat in D2 1A.
