The only way the top 4 seeds change in this District is if Lexington gets beat by Northside and Riverside beats Southside or McNairy gets beat by Adamsville. Neither is very likely. Southside has the top seed sewn up. Lexington at Northside - Lexington by 30 McNairy at Adamsville - McNairy by 15 Southside at Riverside - Southside by 8 Scott's Hill at Chester - Chester by 15 Probably going to be... Southside 1 - McNairy 2 - Lexington 3 - Riverside 4 - Chester 5 - coin flip between Scott's Hill and Adamsville for 6 and 7 - Northside last

Lexington at Northside - Both teams are 10-3. Lexington won back in December but both teams have gotten better. Northside has won 7 in a row and won 8 out of last 9. Lexington has won 6 in a row and 8 of last 9. Should be a great game. I think Lexington may be the best team in this District. Lexington by 9 McNairy at Adamsville - This is a rival game and most rival games you can throw records out of the window. I'm not going to do that in this game. Adamsville may shoot lights out and keep it close but it could be a blow out. Either way, McNairy wins. McNairy by 15 Southside at Riverside - This is intriguing. Southside has lost 4 out of last 5. Riverside has Mcelrath and lost to Northside last night by 11. Senior night at home Mcelrath may go nuts. However, Southisde has too much for them. Southside by 12 Scott's Hill at Chester - This one is also intriguing. Chester has lost 2 in a row and Scott's Hill has won 2 in a row. However, Chester will be too much for Scott's Hill tonight. Chester by 25 seeds in the District will not be deciding until after the games tonight and more than likely there will still be a few coin flips tomorrow. The only decided right now is Scott's Hill 7 and Adamsville 8. Lots of other scenarios.

3 Way tie right now for first. Northside, McNairy, and Lexington. Northisde plays at Riverside tonight and then Lexington at home Friday night. McNairy plays at Adamsville tomorrow night. So it will more than likely be a coin flip for the top seed and for the # 3 seed. Lots of parity in this District.

If talent was just off the charts in district 14 AA I would agree. But the teams in this District Southside has the best player in the District, and they have a few other kids to go with her. They have more than 2 kids or they would not be where they are.

so who wins that District?

Southside is like the other top teams in region 7AA, not as good as they have been in the past. In 14 AA Them and Lexington have a bulls eye on their back because they have beat most of these teams for years. Also, the rest of the teams are better than they have been in the past. Plus I think most teams in 14AA have improved throughout the season while Southside has kinda stayed the same due to talent being down. They will be fine. I would not want to be the 5th or 6th seed and face them in a win or go home game first round of the District Tournament.

Scotts Hill sweeps Adamsville to secure the 7th place spot dropping Adamsville to 8th.

Since I started this thread... Southside is the best team in this District no doubt because they have more athletes, are well coached, and play a tough hard-nosed style of basketball. If the other 2 girls didn't get hurt they had a chance to go back to the Boro and possibly make some noise there. McNairy has a great team as well. The sophomore they have has huge upside and could play D-1 basketball somewhere but she has a long way to go and time to get there cause she is so young. As far as Adamsville and McNairy rival Imma stay out of that. Rivals make for a lot of fun when the game lights get turned on. Not a fan of the Region tournament being at McNairy. It is in the cut and a long drive to get there from anywhere other than McNairy County. Especially for 13AA teams. Everybody knows Dyersburg and Westview are coming. Region should be played at Oman Arena or Chester which is a great gym. McNairy Gym is fine, not new but nice enough to host just a long way to get there.

Milan at Crockett - Crockett by 25 South Gibson at Dyersburg - Dyersburg by 40 Westview at Obion - Westview by 40 Adamsville at Scott's Hill - Adamsville by 16. they are too big for SH Riverside at McNairy - Riverside with the win by 6 McNairy with 3 District L's and Riverside with 4. I think riverside tightens this District up tonight. Northside at Southside - SS by 35 Chester at Lexington - Chester by 7. Lexington without Kelly is a different team.

Milan at Crockett - Crockett by 30 South Gibson at Dyersburg - Dyersburg by 12 Westview at Obion - Obion by 4 - they have to win a district game don't they? Adamsville at Scott's Hill - Adamsville by 8 on the road This is for 7th seed and avoid facing the number one seed. SH won last game. Riverside at McNairy - McNairy by 6 - McNairy should win out and finish at lowest tied for 1st. They have Adamsville Friday. not an easy win and not surprised if Riverside gets them. Especially with Mcelrath. Northside at Southside - SS by 7 Both these teams tied for 1st with Lexington and McNairy. Southside lost 3 of last 4 district games - They get a dub tonight Chester at Lexington - Lexington gets the home win by 9. Chester beat Lexington last time in double OT.

I absolutely agree. None of the teams this year are as good as they were last year. This makes for a really fun tournament there will be some huge upsets. I would not want a Riverside, Chester County, or a Westview in a win or go home first round!!!

You have Crockett and Dyersburg in District 13AA championship and Crockett vs Dyersburg in the Region 7AA Championship? Wow... 13 AA has only made the Championship of 7AA one time over the past 4 years. Last year it was all 14AA (Southside vs Fayette Ware), Year before Westview vs Fayette Ware, the 2 years before that is was all 14AA with both years being Southside vs Lexington... I just don't see an all 13 AA Region Championship. It may happen, but there is just as good a chance that the 14AA trend continues.

Great points. The strength of schedule is a piece I really like to look at when tournament time is approaching. When you said "Crockett, Dyersburg and S. Gibson took care of business as expected. I believe these 3 teams are capable of beating whoever comes out of 14AA, can't say that any of 14AA would be favored, that might win on a hot night but definitely think 13AA has the edge in quality teams" it made think about who they have played. My opinion is there are 2 teams who could win the Region out of 13AA and 4 that could win it out of 14AA Crockett and Dyersburg Southside, Lexington, Chester, and McNairy - Riverside and D MAC are dangerous
