Be interesting if Marion and TC were able to play then.  Wouldn’t be a pass thrown all night!  Game might only take 2 hours to play! I was driving to a preseason scrimmage and the Trousdale broadcast was going over season stats for 2020. Jackets had 3,000 something yards rushing and 300 some odd passing. Pass happy teams get 300 in one game!

That's the biggest issue before the starting QB was hurt he could throw the ball all over the field. Passing is how we beat Friendship and ever since the first game. But TC IS 8-1 but having a passing game would have kept teams from having 11 in the box.

Sorry Tyner and TC folks for robbing your thread. To be fair it started out about yall.:roflol:

You can have it im sure this will be TC's last thread for this season. I hope I am wrong but I think Blake has lost the team.

It’s kind of strange to me that all this disrespect for the coaches from the players and Blake sucks comments are just coming out after Watertown beats y’all???

I didn’t hear a peep of this when y’all were sitting there 8-0 and demolishing Gordy, Smith and Macon.

Judging by the empty seats you had Friday… I would bet it’s a TC fan problem you have… not a coaching issue!

This same coach you guys are downing took you to the semis 2 yrs in a row!!

It's always been an issue I don't think Blake sucks. He is just not into coaching as a long-term career. The issues between Blake and the parents of the players have been an issue. Everyone doesn't know or discuss the issues. Even when Blake was named the head coach not everyone was happy. Clint isn't liked or loved by all TC fans. Most feel he controls and runs too much in TC. I don't agree with any of this. Two semis with no gold balls means nothing to most TC fans.

Sad. New coach will have to change the culture and may lose some players initially as a result. Hope it gets sorted out before those jr jackets that you help coach get up there!

Coaches will be fighting to have a chance to coach the group of kids that will be coming up. The talent is coming they are just young and it will be a 5-year run of special athletes in all sports at TC.

Being a vistor, what shocked me the most was how the security for TC just let it happen.  And after the game something was going on between the security and the H20 coaching staff. (You could tell it was heated discuission, but never really a scene made)  Heck even one of the chain crew guys was running his mouth to the coaching staff after the game.  I hope I dont offend any of the sensitive TC posters.  I hate to be told to go to the Bledsoe thread.

Those aren't security guards but actual off-duty cops most of the time. Yeah, sometimes they met things that get too far that could have easily been stopped. But most of them have kids that are playing for TC. Plus TC has nothing but hatred for Watertown people. Most feel Watertown shouldn't be in 2A football and not in the region with TC. Watertown will never be made to feel wanted at a TC field just the way it is. If I was an opposing team I would only dress in a way locker room and stay in the endzone on the baseball field to avoid the problem. But you can't win a game on the creek bank and celebrate and think that you won't have any issues. Go look at Utube and see what happened when another team tried to plant flag on the 50-yard line.

I could easily see that. Kids normally don't have to get up for any playoff games and I'd want to bounce back and prove something after my first loss. Tyner though is not the Tyner of years past.

TC isn't the TC of year's past either that's the issue.

Now I’m thinking this is RTD playing reverse psychology and jackets come out fired up on Friday! But it’s certainly up to the players. Hope they have some pride.

I'm thinking the same thing. Either they going to come out with their hair on fire or they going to get the blew out.

Yes.  Not hard to see if you watch the games.  A 28 year old guy with a thin resume gets the head coaching job and is not seen as an authority figure by the players.  His application gets tossed in five seconds if his dad is not the superintendent of schools!

I think whoever takes the job next won't survive the talent decline that's about to happen.

  9. The stands will be empty on both sides come Friday, against Tyner. Gordy, Smith, and Macon are the only teams that bring a crowd to TC games now. Watertown isn't a big enough game for fans for some reason to come watch the game in person.

Will Clint do anything to help his boy until then or just watch him flame out? Talent dips next year so it will be an ugly last 2-3 years for him unless something happens. Is that what does Clint want?

The down years are coming for the next 3-4 years. I don't think Blake or Clint will be around in the next 2 years.  I think they just ride it out for next year or so and go into the sunset and let the program be someone else problem. There is a petition to fore Blake online right now. There is a disconnect between the fans, coaches, and players at TC right now.

I can appreciate this response and there is definitely a lot of truth in it and you’re 100% accurate there are probably a select few, but unfortunately those are the ones people seem to remember!

I give RTD a lot of crap, but to be honest he seems like great genuine fan! There are several others as well!

Thank you I avoid that area doing TC games. I have kids and a son I don't want my son to see what goes on right there. It is the same people every week that stands at the entry to the field and pick on kids on the opposing team. I don't like it I think it's very unnecessary.

That’s a fair enough excuse then, but anyone who is complaining about TC week off should be asking theirselves why they took a week off and didn’t come support their team in the biggest game of the regular season!!

You get what you put in and that doesn’t just go for the players and coaches!!

It's very simple TC football has had issues in the locker room and with the community. The players don't like or respect Blake. They see him as an equal, not an authority figure. For example, he makes the team run laps for not knowing their playbook but one atar player decodes to walk the laps because he didn't mess up. The players haven't gotten along for a few years. We have players quitting in the middle of the season. We have players sitting out practice all summer bec they only want to practice doing the season and it's allowed by the coaching staff. TC has bigger issues than just winning a region title that's not the goal here in TC. TC will be searching for a new coach in the next two years. Blake will step down when his dad retires in the next 2-3 years.

With how TC has owned us last 3 playoffs and the teams I have seen and the fact that they were undefeated besides Watertown - I am buying none of that narrative.  I expect an inspired, physical, well coached TC team and it will take Tyner’s very best effort to compete with them.

He is right I think this team has quite on coach Blake. Also I thin his head isn’t into coaching. Tyner should come in and out TC out to pasture. This isn’t your TC of years past. I don’t think they care that ugh the loss to Watertown didn’t even upset some of the players .

I think as a TC fan, you look at the schedule this year and are excited the H2O game is late in the year and then you see we have a bye week before the game, and you get more confident because you have 2 weeks to prepare for the biggest game of the year, but then all of sudden you find out that the bye week was spent at the beach, not 1 practice, not 1 workout session, inexcusable, and anyone that is close to the TC program knows the two signs that gets tapped before you go out to the field, this performance and lack to prepare goes against those traditions, this team has some talent, they can beat Tyner, and they may can beat Meigs, but they are going to have to show up and play sound football

Couldn't have said it better myself.

H20 came in and absolutley dismantled a more athletic team.  That cannot be argued.  I have watched this thread and I don't recall any TC faithful mentioning anytime this year how bad the coaching staff was for TC (until tonight).  But I do recall all the "Coach B did this and that, no sense in playing a non-region game (Upperman)."  He was basically the savior 4-5 weeks ago.  I'll say it,  TC got thumped by a smaller, slower, but more determined/hard nosed team in H20.  Hate to call the TC faithful out, but you really don't have any excuses, your team (especially all the players on D who was going to live in H20's backfield) got handed a TRUE L tonight. Fire back as you may, but make sure you make some sense when you do.  All that being said, anyone tell me who H20 gets in the 1st Round?

That was easy to see tonight H2O won on both sides of the ball on the line.

They had that option this year and picked a different path

The man just sitting at Oakland winning rings coaching a team that is ranked top 10 in all of high school football. Coached the Oakland freshmen team to 4 undefeated seasons and he lives in TC. But nope Blake hires the OC from within the staff and takes play-calling duties himself. TC still has the same issues as the offense.
