Acting morally superior to everyone then coming in with this grammatically awful hack job is ironic.
3 Things:
This guy has everyone wrapped around his finger
I dont care for Cleveland but they are the model for everyone around, if you dont see that, you are just bitter.
SD is figuring it out, and will be a dominant program program very soon.....unless Baylor/McCallie takes them all

You Baylor boys better be glad Cooper Hilton didn’t certify for us. Then it would have been worse.
I heard he was...??

You said you are cousins with Bryant? If so run that by him. I’m sure Bosken would
SD would want to join in!!!

I will be coaching two different tournaments with two separate groups of Pride kids this weekend. I would love to go over these “facts” you keep referencing at either of these tournaments. One will be at Cleveland on Sunday. Thank you.

I dont think this is helping their case.
With Bradleys rich tradition in the sport, you would think they would have someone who the community knew traveling with yhe kids club.
Shawn Cordell, Rusty Blackman, Ben Smith, Steve Logdson.....etc
Lets be real.....they don't take it that serious.
Thats why SD did what they did to them. An obvious value in the youth program.- 1

Would be interesting if the Raiders would ever venture out from the safety of the Jones Center and make the trip to Nashville sometime

Barring SEVERAL transfers to BC today and looking forward the next 4 or 5 years, Cleveland's entire starting lineup would have to be sick or injured on the same date they wrestle for BC to even COMPETE. Now we have reached the point that puts Trey and his friends in HS. That group of kids have already been traveling, competing and doing well in national tournaments for several yrs. So you're saying that BC is gonna have an entire room of kids that will beat what Bosken, Knox and company have in their pipeline.?? I'm with Trey, just dont see it happening for a long time. Sure, BC will be able to develop a couple of studs. But there will also be some shetland ponies and a couple of jackasses too. Higher Calling and Cleveland already have SEVERAL thoughbreds in the stable that will only continue to get better.
A lot can happen in 4 years..... that coaching staff may be gone.... if they are, do those kids stay? Pump the breaks

Well 63-3. I have to say I’m a little shocked they won a match. But then again it wasn’t our starter. I feel for Bryant… long long road ahead. I will say my 4th grader will be graduated and never lost to the Bears. LOL
Your 4th grader has a long time before he is even relevant in the conversation. Bradley will figure it out by then.

Very interesting... Last year they got 4th and got smoked by Father Ryan and UC the two previous years. Maybe they came back from PA a little wounded? Looks like they are taking a page out of Cornell's book and protecting their SE ranking... Do they drop in the polls since they are literally changing their schedule to avoid good competition?
They were never going.
Track auto populates the teams from the year before. They released a schedule in October, and only think that was different, was they added Powerade. They will wrestle Father Ryan 1/12
But im sure with the team they have, they could care less about dropping them in a poll
-
I have not. Must be very good.
Will be interesting to see if Levendusky, Trinity, or whiteside drop.....would like to think they may be the favorite if they do.
-
Ok. Im new to the girls wrestling.... somewhat.
138.... number 1 girl is a freshman, and only ranked win is over the 6th ranked girl. Im sure she is really good, but why number 1 already?
-
Young over Ella Murphey?
Cant understand that.
-
Not much consistency with the ranking system.
If they are inactive, do they get dropped completely? Or just a spot?

He has done nothing but talk about Mccallie’s greatness the last year. Def not building up Baylor. Father Ryan has a lineup that can go toe to toe with Baylor. Mccallie can’t compete with either. They will get crushed 132-190
lane vs tran- GREAT match up. If both are healthy, i give a slight edge to Tran bc hes been more active latlety.
villars vs calvin- slight edge to calvin....but villars coukd definitely win this match

I don’t believe that, he’s good but an animal is a little much! The animal competition he’s wrestled this year has beat him, since he has 2 losses already (first period pin and teched) on the season, those guys would be animals to me. I do think he wins by decision or maybe Major, just not sure about a guaranteed tech as you say.
Pin...first period. Ignorant to think otherwise.
Congrats to Brentwood and Nolensville

It's pretty simple SportsTNFan. All you have to do is go to a school website and fill out an inquiry form.
https://montgomerybell.myschoolapp.com/page/admissions/inquire-online?siteId=655&ssl=1
https://share.hsforms.com/19XPnOUstQbKowgDrE-O5Nw1sc8s
https://www.baylorschool.org/admission/inquire
https://portals.veracross.com/webb/form/inquiry/General Inquiry
orrr you can just coach them at Duals/Fargo and put a bug in their ear.

Just an example:
Pennsylvania: population 13 million; two divisions for wrestling and 472 high schools offer wrestling.
Tennessee: population 7 million; three divisions for wrestling and 182 high schools offer wrestling.
Does rewarding mediocrity and allowing more kids to compete in the state tournament really grow the sport of wrestling? I would like to see the scientific data that supports this philosophy. Did "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND" actually help the students and improve education, absolutely not. Politicians and educators in the United States have been playing the social experiment game of not wanting to push kids very hard and making everyone happy since the early 70's and it has not and will not work. Wrestling is a sport that kids absolutely earn what they receive but there are no guarantees that if they outwork their opponents, they will be successful. Working hard for a goal and falling just short of that goal is not a bad thing!
We aren’t PA ha…. Ludacris to compare our situation to theirs.
Inclusion of small school has unquestionably helped the growth in TN…. more exposure…..more success…. which ultimately shows kids that their skill set is good enough to continue into college at some level.
This is no different.

So watering down a state title is going to grow the sport in our state...noted.
So more kids in a bracket is watering it down?

Why does it matter where they go if they never see the mat? If we are talking about “wrestling productivity “
Who does Baylor have wrestling in college?
Cleveland has had 3 kids recently go to UTC, start for them, and graduate. One more starting for West Point, and another projected to start for Cornell next year. Logan Fowler most likely to sign with a high profile school with recent success, and Bentley Ellison going to Campbell.

Past 10 years
Cleveland
Baylor
Bradley
Wilson Central
Pigeon Forge
Father Ryan
Only teams who have been consistently relevant over the last decade.
-
Wilson Central has a STRONG argument to be in the Top 4….. Last 10 years they have beaten everyone except Cleveland and Baylor (i believe)
Definitely ahead of Signal Mountain and Soddy Daisy!!! Not even close

I guess if a kid doesn't grow up within walking distance of their school they must be some kind of recruit.
As far as I can tell Baylors line up at the tournament looked like this.
Phillips - Baylor Middle School
Bond - started at Baylor as a freshman. Was in the club before. Brother wrestled all 4 years at Baylor.
Cofer - Baylor middle - did not wrestle in middle schoolHart-?
Emendorfer - came to Baylor in 8th
Askew- came to Baylor as a freshman. The only wrestler who doesn't live within 30min of Baylor.
Tisdale - Baylor in 8th
Sturgill - the only transfer. Moved to Chattanooga.
Phillips - started wrestling in 9th grade at Baylor
Joyner - Baylor middle
Alvarez - Baylor in 9th
Crawford - Baylor in 8th
Stein - Baylor middle- didn't wrestle in middle
Rose - Baylor middle - didn't wrestle in middle SchoolLooks like if you didn't start at a school by the 6th grade you must be a transfer.
Newsflash, these are prep schools a their are lots of kids from other areas.
Actually Bond wrestled club with Chatooga, a club his dad ran….
Maybe 1-2 kids on that list actually wrestled for Baylor club.
but
You are right, they all recruit, that’s the name of the game for them…..and they did it better than anyone. Now i think McCallie is finally tired of losing and are going to play the game.

They have 2-3 kids in their line up that wrestled in Baylor MS
But all 5 Champs were transfers and at-least 9 of the 11 medalist were transfers/move ins
I believe Joyner was the only State Medalist that went to Baylor
Who is the BEST in the state???
in Wrestling Mat
