One has to wonder what the outcome could have been if Cornersville had just punted the ball out of the back of the endzone and given Whitwell the safety. They would be kicking off from the 20 and may have put the Tigers at the 50 at worst. If they score it's still a 1 score game. Just some food for thought.

It’s hard to say in that wind. In a perfect game conditions this would of made the coach a genius

I believe you two are underestimating the wind last Saturday.

However, Randolph mentioned he would have kicked a FG if we were closer on the last drive. Personally, I think it would be crazy in those conditions.

I agree, if you watch the last play of the game the throw hit the wind and just dropped like it was shot out of the air.

There was so much shoulda, coulda, woulda that happened in this game. As a Cornersville fan and a parent, this loss hurt. It has and will continue to sting for a long time. Bulldog fans, we have to move on. While we may not agree with everything that transpired on December 1st, we do have to live with it unfortunately. We can whine, cry, and complain all we want, but it is not going to change anything. I have done my best to keep quiet all week on this thread and now I am saying what I feel needs to be heard by Bulldog nation and maybe everyone else. Whitwell won..there I said it. I am not going to doubt our players, or our coaching staff and the decisions they made. I can guarantee you that everyone on the bulldog football team has second guessed every decision that was made, but we can't dwell on the shoulda, coulda, woulda.

I will say, as Wingo so graciously showed with pictures, yes there were a ton of missed calls, but those misses went both ways. I finally started watching game film yesterday and I could not find myself getting past the missed extra point and I couldn't put my finger on why. When I talked with my son last night, I figured it out. I was wondering why before the snap, the white hat started moving toward the kicker with his hand to his mouth and other hand reaching for his flag, but no whistle and no flag. Cornersville had 12 on the field and he saw it and was about to call it until he saw the snap bobbled. On top of that, Thunder jumped so high that his knee hit our kicker in the head, and yet again, no flag. As I stated, nothing can be done about it now.

    Congrats Whitwell, enjoy the moment.

Finally some logic, tell that son to keep his head held high

No one takes lessons from Tate , they just tell him the same thing over an over until 1 they either pull all their hair out or 2 pack their things and leave.

The qb wasn’t healthy so no You couldn’t have scored two more. And in that game him being hurt petty was a better option. Think before you reply

That’s literally what he just said lmbo

Luck is when hard work meets opportunity.. Stay in there CB... You will be a head Coach again one day... Dominated in every part? I think defensively we play pretty good... Good enough to win it... They shut us down offensively... And last time I checked... Final score is the only stat that matters? I for one know that SP isnt the only tough place to play. I think Whitwell should have scored at least two more times but credit CV  for stopping us on the 1 yard line. As well as stopping us when they had a 19 yard punt to the 20. Whitwell should have without a doubt scored on both of those but didn't. CV had chances to score as well but that Whitwell D you're discrediting, kept us in the game.

Is this the guy that was taking lessons from Casey Tate lmbo

First I would like to say congratulations to Whitwell’s players they did everything they could to win the game, but to bad the play on the field did not determine the outcome of this game. Cornersville was called for 5 holding calls Whitwell had zero and I saw plenty. With that being said if Cornersville does on offense the second half what they did the last series of the game we are not having this discussion now and Cornersville is state champs. All we can do is learn from it and move on.

It would be different if they wasn’t holding lol

I agree with whoever said 5-6 teams could have won this yr. I believe Huntington or lake county could have beaten  s Pitt or greenback based on how the championship game was played. Who’s to say whitwell could have gone to Huntington or lake county which people say are two very tuff places to play and won like c’ville. C’ville might not have been able to play from behind and make big plays like whitwell in the 4th qt against s. Pitt or greenback. Not teams earned to be there and c’ville had opportunities and missed on them. Whitwell had one good one and made it count. Simple as that.

Whitwell played at the creek bank lol I’m sure playing at LC would of been just fine

Surely you can do better than that.

I don’t expect a simple minded person to actually know details about the game of football. All I’m saying is a healthy GB team and SP both could of beat Cornersville too. Cornersville caught whitwell after facing two very physical football teams lol

Let’s not get carried away now. Whitwell scored when they had the opportunity on a bad punt deep inside cville territory.  They hung in there and did just enough to win. You can’t put up 24 yds on 13 plays and say you should have scored 2-3 more times. As far as injuries, whitwell looked better with 31 at qb in second half anyways. With everyone else who isn’t banged up some in the 15th game of the season. The only things I would question if I’m a c’vile fan is why not try for a field goal in first half and put whitwell down by two scores and second the refs not measuring for a first down after probably the worst play call going for it on 4 and 4 at your own 12 yard line.

We was literally inside the 10 twice we could of scored and should have, and we had multiple receivers open for big plays Warner just couldn’t deliver the pass cause he couldn’t step into his throws. Simple QB mechanics

That's about like saying the refs were paid off.

I mean it’s true, we had a series on the 2 yard line we get a false start penalty cause it’s “rigged”. And then we had Tanner Stewart wise open on a post down the middle of the field cause Whitaker bit on the PA. Warner just couldn’t step into his throws because he was hurt too

WingoVFL’s pictures might mean more to me if they would have called penalties fairly. Whitwell got away with stuff all game while our team was called for penalties both real and imagined. No one will ever convince me this game was officiated fairly. Your UCF idea isn’t as bad as it sounds. We know we have the better team and so does Whitwell.

Have the better team but lost lol if we was all healthy we would of scored 2-3 more times

BigDawg, SP could say the same thing. We had a ball that was called a fumble that we still think didn’t come out until our runner hit the ground at the goal line in the quarters. We had a touchdown called back that still to this day no one understands.  We didn’t get points on either one of those things. Those things just happen sometime. It sucks, but that’s the way breaks go sometime. Cornersville had a very good football team. I honestly think there were about 5-6 teams that were all very close this season. Whitwell got the breaks and the gold. That’s all that matters. They aren’t changing the outcome. It is what it is.

It was a fumble famed has it on video
