Good assessment. If Ripley can put a complete game together on both sides of the ball, look out. The Tigers have come a long way over the last couple of years no doubt about it.

I heard the other day this is the first home playoff game for Ripley in a lot of years. I'm sure they will be stoked. Should be a great atmosphere and competitive game.

I saw Ripley against Covington.  They really have improved over the last few years. Im pulling for the Tigers in this one !

No don’t know the exact number only an assumption. TSSAA is regulating the number of total tickets that are sold on GoFan. They are allowing 1/3 of the facility capacity to be sold for each game. So I will use this game as an example. Milan home side seats supposedly 3500 and visitor side 1000. When you go on GoFan to buy tickets it asks do you want to buy Covington or Milan tickets. I would assume there to be 333 Covington tickets for sale and 1167 Milan tickets for sale. That is my understanding of the way things are being done.

Thanks for the info.  Im sure the Chargers will travel well. Everybody is looking forward to this game.

  3. I pick Covington in a close one.  Two great teams! Somebody has to go home though ! Brown is a great athlete hopefully Covington can put some pads on him  and keep him limited on the big plays. I know number 28 will like to see him coming through the middle!

I keep hearing conflicting reports of rather Ruffin will be back behind center or not....honestly, I believe that if he is back, it would give Covington a better chance and make this game more interesting....we need Fayne focused on defense as well and not playing iron man. I hope for a clean game to be fought between the players! Good luck to both. GO CHARGERS!

I would like to see them both behind center. Switch it up some. I agree we do need Fayne on D but I believe him at qb some could be good for us too. Should be another good one.

     Go Chargers!

TSSAA has no say so in whether Metro allows fans or not.

I was just going off what Peabody's Football FB page stated.

"PLAYOFF TICKET INFORMATION.... Per TSSAA, there will not be any physical tickets sold for playoff games. All tickets to playoff games must be purchased through GoFan. The link will be made available on Monday of each week that we have a game. This link will be shared through our parent group text, our Peabody Golden Tide Football Facebook page, and posted on our school website. Our limit for tickets is MUCH higher than the amount we have sold each week. I think many people are thinking there's no use in trying to buy a ticket because of the limit. Due to the large capacity of our stadium, anyone who wants to attend a game should make an attempt to attend. I highly doubt we will reach our capacity for any of the games. However, don't chance it by waiting. Look for the link as soon as it's available on Mondays"

  6. Just wondering what the capacity is for this game. Looked on facebook and a school said more tickets would be sold during the playoffs because TSSAA is over the tickets. Im sure they want all they can get. The tickets would also be made available to everyone.Tickets would only be sold online. The host school wouldn't be able to limit the visiting school tickets.

I’ve never known Milan to have ineligible players. They just have (and I’m jealous of it) darn good coaching. I’ve seen teams with ineligible players (Covington in 2013) go up in smoke in a week. But Milan does things to their advantage yet staying in the rules. It’s smart

    Not Covington football?

Didn’t you hear it’s way more than 5 or 6. It’s up to 12 now. I am coach Diffee’s official recruiting coordinator. Next year’s crop of incoming 4 and 5 stars will be way more impressive than this one.

Just asking your opinion. Do you think Diffee would have had the same success this season without the transfers? I know Milan has always had talented kids anyway. Just wondering what you think.

Milan’s normal routine is they send a certain amount to the visiting school(always the same). And then presell to players, cheerleaders, and band members parents from Monday-Wednesday only allowing 2 per student. And then the remaining tickets they sell to the general public on Thursday morning at the high school starting at 8:30AM and they usually go fast. However this week is homecoming and they are allowing everyone in the homecoming royalty 5 tickets. That will cut down on the amount available to the public. I would strongly urge anyone wanting a ticket to be at Milan high school early Thursday. You may also want to check the high school Facebook page for further details.

What is the amount usually sent to the other school ?
