I think Ridgeway has been thrown in the fire early on. Kirby on the other hand has coasted against two programs that aren't playing well right now. Ridgeway is battle tested but it won't be enough against Kirby. Kirby by two TDs at least

TBD..... this team has played together all spring and summer, in the state out of state 7 on 7 as well as scrimmages. It's pretty much been the same thing. We'll see

Coach Rodney is a proven Coach. He will have them ready by seasons end. Whitehaven is in the perfect district. There are only 4 teams in region 8 6a so everybody will make the playoffs.

Definitely not the # 3 team in the state. Nowhere close.....

This will be an interesting game to watch. Cordova has a few playmakers but hasn't been tested. They beat a Southwind team that struggled to score against 1A Freedom Prep in the jamboree. I think that team has about 25 to 30 kids on the team. (if that) No way that should have been a 7 -6 win unless they are who we've seen so far. ( I think they are) Coach Slocum has shown he can get his team ready as the season progresses. The Southaven game was a good win for Cordova. I'm not sure how good Southaven is but they're normally pretty tough. They lost to 28-6 to a good Olive Branch,Ms. team last week. Whitehaven has shown flashes of what they can be. They are nowhere close right now. What we saw against a Ridgeway team that was worked over by MUS was disappointing. Whitehaven looked very undisciplined and sloppy to say the least. MUS actually did the same thing to Whitehaven in their scrimmage as well from what I've heard. I wasn't their to witness that one. Is MUS that good or is Ridgeway and Whitehaven that bad?? Whitehaven beat up on 2a Fairley pretty good in the first game, which they should have done. My prediction is Cordova will find a way to lose this game, as they have in the past when they play Whitehaven. Right now Cordova looks better on the field. Whitehaven looks great on paper.

Friday night action Kirby 5a and Germantown 6a both look pretty good. Whitehaven definitely a work in progress. Second time seeing Da Haven. Lots of high major D1 guys, but the offense has yet to show it. Germantown looked good all around. They will be a problem in 6a. Kirby will be a problem in 5a. Thoughts?

Haven't had a chance to see Whitehaven yet. How did they look against MUS?

Germantown and White Station squared off in week 8 with Gtown coming away with the victory. Don't let the record fool you! White Station is battle tested and will be ready for the rematch. They went to Arlington on Friday and gave them a little payback from an earlier loss in the season. Germantown won in convincing fashion 42-10 against Houston. I'm sure they know they will have their hands full on Friday. Thoughts?

You have a valid point. They are a tough team. The only reason I say RE will win is because of home field advantage.

Ground and pound and great D is the HAVEN way. I think we're on the same side. I LOVE 901 FOOTBALL. The fact remains that you have a QB who is a ACC CALIBER QB and you have one who isn't right now. I don't know about you, but I'm sure most coaching staffs would love to have that type of quarterback leading their team. I'm not taking anything away from the young man at Whitehaven. He's doing a great job, they are 9-2. I'm sure Coach could put you in at QB and make it work. That's what he does. So... to answer your question.. NO he isn't the same CALIBER. not yet. Do you really think he is? ... and I don't want to make this about the QB. These are high school students and the last thing I want to do is seemingly speak negative about them. Great athletes both of them!
