That seems like a really big win for Wayne Co. Over Summertown tonight.  I have to think Wayne Co is the favorite in 1A.  Sounds like Summertown is tough this year also.

Moore County played a really good Loretto team tough tonight also.

Summertown had 11 pt lead in second half but went stone cold

Yeah you get the point. Question. What is your take on the administration going  to the opposing crowd and telling them not to yell any more for their team or they would be thrown out?? What do you think about the sheriff coming up to the fans and agreeing with them 100% but telling them I have to throw y'all out if they ask me too because it is not my facility if y"all keep cheering?? But their girls are a pretty good team and play hard and very likely in Murfreesboro.

Officials  not only that way in basketball but any other sport / it goes beyond home court advantage when they go to their bench in timeouts and have discussions with their coaches ( don’t know what they could be talking about - or do I )

Here's a few of the high school girls basketball programs that can pull 8th graders (this is a partial list):

Summertown, Greenfield, Gleason, USJ, Ensworth, TCA - I'd say these programs win pretty often.

I would love to see a full list of the schools that can do this.  To act like this is not an advantage is disingenuous.  Not only do these 8th graders help win games, it allows for a full extra year of development in the high school program.

    Summertown can’t anymore

I really think McMinn Central and Gatlinburg Pittman returned mostly their whole team so it would be hard to not have them ranked real high. Gibson County, Westview, Peabody, Loretto, East Nashville, York, Summertown all good teams so you never know. We hope all stay healthy which we know that plays a big factor. I do think McMinn and GP were really good last year and have almost all back.

    For Summertowns it’s get healthy

Congrats Cleveland on the sweep and taking state two years in a row!

The southern/Chattanooga area teams with the clean sweep this year: Sale Creek, Signal Mountain, Clevelend!

First time in a while that at least one  Champion didn’t come out losers bracket

The drive might take longer than the games

You probably correct bout that - Law Co got moved up this year to AAA which is out of their league but w good coach and hustle might make a game or 2 interesting - let’s don’t disrespect their accomplishments

Just noticed...part of it I guess, but totally sucks Brentwood and Nolensville have to drive all the way to Lawrence Co. for Region tourney... might as well be in Alabama... I would guess 1.5 hrs for each?

Home court advantage - you think will help

Loretto beats Summertown in 5 sets to win the district. Good match. Loretto is probably the more talented team but Kelley is the better coach and it’s not even close. She’ll beat Loretto before it’s over.

Hope meet in finals of STATE like always / Stown just too inexperienced in key rotations but I’ll admit they are fun to watch

Would assume Loretto is a favorite, but Harpeth, Summertown, Camden & Waverly will be battling for a slot....we thought it was all Summertown last year and they get beaten in Region so you never know this time of year (even though it worked out for S'Town in the end)

Sale Creek, Eagleville, East Robertson, Gordonsville all battling. But Sale Creek easily a lock no matter who they play.

Assuming South Greene sails in from the east like they usually do. CSAS has a chance to return...

From the west... Milan has a great chance to sneak in after dropping down from AA. And Gibson County looks to return, but not much competition out west.

Fun time of the year. I can't believe in basically two weeks all will be known. Can't wait to see it all play out!

West part of state still fairly weak don’t think they’ve won a match at state in several years in 1A

As we wind down the season, not too many surprises in single A for the upcoming District tournaments... Regions could get a *little* more interesting.  As sectionals roll around, thats when it gets really  interesting!

Loretto fav to come out of their district - region - substate ( don’t get put w them in do or die or you’ll be going home ) number 2 on any given night 4or5 could win

Saw the score...What has happened to Summertown?

Young players scared to death / no experience / Loretto too big and came ready to play ( revenge from losing championship last year ) we get better but won’t challenge for state as previous years / Loretto and Eagleville similar and be hard for anybody to beat
