Want some cheese with that? Summertown showed lots of fight and heart to keep this game remotely close. Chargers aren't defending Champs for nothing. At full roster, Summertown still falls in this one.

Don’t guess 6’1 post and 5’10 wing  make much difference

I give Summertown credit…they fought hard tonight and never gave up, but I don’t think I agree with your statement.  Westview got up 17-20 and without those late threes that fell for Summertown in the 4th, then I think it wouldn’t have even been as close as 10

I sorry you can’t give a depleted team any more credit than that /I guess what people say bout Westview downing other teams is true

Assuming all the teams you pick win tonight, the state matchups with the substate winners will be interesting to see.

I see GP SH Riverside Westview in one bracket that would sound bout the way they’ll draw it up in mean blind draw it

I asked because I think there is some preventative measure to keep two teams from the same Region playing each other, unless they both reach the championship game.

Yep same region are in different bracket- it would be much better to be live ( like it use to be )  instead of behind closed doors - invariably one bracket much harder than the other - most time top 2 rated teams play first round ( that’s the way TSSAA likes it )

Let’s get back to talking about the teams left with a chance to win it all.  How do y’all see the GC/Loretto and Westview/Summertown games going?  Expect them to be big games just like last year

Loretto might have slight edge playing at home but each teams ability on defensive side will determine this one / Summertown got pitchers chance but after losing their 2 post will be tall task

But on that note, Giles fans got too personal with the opposing teams players, I heard some of the things that the fans were calling the players on the court. And some of those fans were even had a foot on the court. Way too close!
The A.D. needs to control some of that.

They use to be dominant in basketball ( girls and boys  )  so sometimes get waaaaay to excited now - guess they think what they do is ok but it’s not - their coach is a stand up guy and assure you he’s doesn’t condone that type of behavior

I remember Fairview beat Summertown in basketball yesterday.  I also remember Fairview beat Summertown on the baseball diamond when they played last season.

Chew on that at the family lunch today.

Man I’m just blowing smoke on Coach T nothing personal trying get a rise / I’ll be at game tomorrow love to meet you in friendly way no disrespect to you or your school - good luck to your boys hope they win it all

It was 11-0 before the hot dogs got warm and it was a 14 point game after 3 quarters.  If I want to talk girls basketball or talk baseball I’ll let you know.  Your basketball team got beat convincingly last night by 17 points.  Great job keeping it within 20.

You started the baseball talk / I’ll talk state championships if want to but bet you don’t want go there

They won 66-49.  That’s not exactly a nail biter.  Summertown (aka Burlison-ville) can get a head start on baseball season come Monday.  Maybe they’ll play Fairview sometime in May on the diamond.

How many guys named Burlison are there in Summertown anyway?

Evidently you didn’t watch game / best Burlesons play on girls team - might need to ask your girls team

That was actually a great prediction from looking at tonight’s scores.  Fairview won pretty comfortably.  Cheatham County won very comfortably.  White House Heritage won a tough road battle.  Harpeth came up short in their road trip.  The district fared well in the first round.  The Region Semifinals now look as follows:

    Fairview plays White House-Heritage

    Giles County plays Cheatham County

When do you think Fairview was comfortable - bet you ask their coach it wasn’t till very late in game

That’s impressive. Do they have any stand outs or are they just all around solid?
and what about this Giles team? What do they have?

Giles got new coach ( came from Columbia Central ) to give some structure - Tyler Smith Giles co grad and UT player also there to help - all round solid club  - Loretto getting better every game ( as you would expect from young ball club this time of year ) but also as young team can stink it up sometimes - probably not this year but man future looks amazing
