With Covingtons three headed rushing attack, with Gant being healthy again, and a QB that can do it all. McNairys defense will have thier hands full. Covingtons defense has seemed to come alive the last few games. Hope for a good game, it's hard to beat any team twice in the same year, but I think Covington will handle this one.

I haven't seen any Covington fan saying that it is a lock to make it to the championship and play alcoa, they have said they would like the chance to play alcoa again, just like PC wants another chance to play Covington. You can think what you want about the game last year and say it was a "joke" or a fluke or whatever excuse you want to use for it. Hopefully both teams make it, cause it will make for a great game.

PC is doing the same thing they did last year, lookin way ahead to the semifinals and the championship, they found out what happens when you come out and think your goin to steam roll everybody, and just assume a team is going to lay down when you get a lead on them.......

There have been plenty of very fast backs at Covington over the years, Micheal Grandberry, Darron White, Chris Burnett, Carlos Williams, Leslie Adams, Antonio Gaines, and I'm sure I am missing a few, speed is one thing Covington has never really lacked in. As for the Milan game, if they can pass anything like Brighton did against Covington it could turn into a close game. Milan will have their hands full with that Covington offense though. They are running wide open right now. I expect a great game come friday night. It's always a good game when Milan and Covington play.

I dont see Brighton being much of a problem, but hopefully the team takes Brighton serious. Which im sure they will considering it's a rivalry game.

I'm sure with Wheeler and coach K knowing FACS likes to pass the ball a lot, they will have that secondary in the best possible position to win. Hopefully they can keep the offensive play at the same tempo they had against munford. Both RBs and the QB look like they are picking up were they left off last year.

He didn't say that at all, he said what beat us was mistakes. Mistakes that Alcoa made Covington pay for. I don't think he was taking anything away from Alcoa,I believe he was just saying mistakes more than depth was a factor.

The second half happened.....they only ran 7 offensive plays in the second half.

We all know the tradition Alcoa has and how dominate they are. Covington is playing some great football right now (alcoa is too). There is no quite in this team. It should be a great, hard fought game. Covington has been underestimated all year. I hope they prove everybody wrong one more time this year. Go Chargers!!

RE stopped the run most of the game, Chargers only had I think 120 yards rushing on the game. Made up for it in the passing game, passing for almost 180 yards. They dont pass often, but when they need to it is effective.

"Hold him in check"- keep his big plays to a minimum. The minimum amount of production needed changes with certain scenarios. If the defense is playing good and holding RE, then I would say 80-100 yards per back would be good enough. Covington has other weapons on offense as well, the qb can run and throw very well, the WR are fast and big. I'm sure RE has plenty of other weapons other than grandberry. I think it's going to be a great, hard fought game tomorrow night.

Yes superior 6-5 east tn football. You have your opinion, but you see who is still playing and who isnt.

That's good. Continue to be dedicated on the couch, while these 2 teams play it out on the field friday night.

Looking at those stats, there are only 2 teams that RE has played that are ranked on offense in the metro and that's Arlington(5th in pts/gm, 2nd in passing/gm, and 2nd in yards total/gm) and Harding Academy(7th rushing/gm). I would say they haven't seen a rushing attack like Covingtons yet this year, but even so for RE to hold teams to 34 rushing yards per game is saying something.

Covington has the speed to keep up with RE, that's one thing Covington has always had plenty of.
