LEAD lost their best scorer to an ACL injury I’m in not mistaken

Yup. I knew we would be in trouble when I found out VB played Clay simply because Edwards is a dang good coach.

Well, Basketball is the main sport up here on the mountain. So kids grow up playing it. Only thing to really do in this small town.

I can’t take you seriously if you don’t think Van Buren, Clay & Pickett on one side of the bracket isnt the tougher side of the bracket. Lol

A lot of people were expecting another state run this year. I knew with our 7 days off and being in an even weaker district this year we were in trouble especially when I found out VB played Clay again. We just played our worst game at the wrong time. The Region we were in used to be really tough with the likes of CSAS and Grace Baptist. I do know one thing, I wish Van Buren would play Pickett again every year, that’s one Rivalry Game I do miss.

Tougher side. Yes. It’s not rocket science. We would’ve had to play Pickett if we won, then Monterey if we beat Pickett... Not South Pittsburg then richard hardy like Monterey is going to get to do.

I had high hopes we’d make it back to state for the fourth year.. Unfortunately we drew the tougher side of the bracket and Edwards is one of the best boys basketball coaches in the state. Baskets weren’t falling like they usually do. Hats off to Clay Co for executing their game plan ESPECIALLY in Van Buren during tournament time.

You sound like an immature kid. Anyone who has any basketball knowledge knows it’s hard to beat a team 3x in a year. Remain humble. Your time is coming.

Richard Hardy barely has any fans. South Pittsburg is a football/baseball school. Also, congrats to Clay County for pulling off the upset.. Made me eat crow. Tough way to end magnificent careers for Caden Mills and company.

To say anyone in this region would win Mr. Basketball OVER Caden Mills is blasphemy.

I don’t think Clay can win in Van Buren. Van Buren is one of the toughest places to play at ESPECIALLY when tournament time comes around.

#1 team in state & you’re upset about not being spoken about.. Wouldnt you rather have it that way so you’re not overhyped going into the toughest parts of the season?

Never know, I remember 6-7 years ago everyone was counting Van Buren out in their old District before the season even started & they surprised everyone. Sullivan is a good coach. He’ll have his teams ready.

Good luck to 6A. Whoever ends up winning will have the best draw for the Region tournament as they’ll be on the opposite side of Van Buren.

You’ve still yet to acknowledge the fact that Edwards has left starters in in the past while up 20-30 on Van Buren.
