Yep! Don't know if we'll give u a good game but Knowing how aggressive both teams play, I'll guarantee u it'll be worth the price of admission! lol Hopefully it'll show both teams what they gotta get better at early in the season!

Woods came from Marshal co where her dad taught. He got a history teaching job at shs. Long came from Santa Fe. Her family originally from summertown and they moved back home. As gogold said we have a new coach and play a totally different style than last yr. Averaging 82 pts per game but also getting in foul trouble and giving up lots of pts pressing the whole game and have to clean up a lot! May get exposed at Gibson co this week....either way the Summertown Lady Eagles will not be a team u want to draw in March! Go Lady Eagles!

Well maybe i just remembered it wrong. I do know they jumped out to a 12-0 start. Maybe that's why I was thinking we were down at half.....

McKenzie lead Summertown at half last yr. and that's against the State runner up! Ended up losing by 25 but definitely a lot of talent there and could see them getting better to make a run at Huntingdon especially with what they lost to graduation and injuries.

Absolutely, West TN is loaded. Greenfield has to be the favorites returning 2 miss bball finalist from a state championship team. Gibson co, Gleason , Huntingdon and Dresden are gonna be studs too. Summertown is playing in the Gibson Co thanksgiving tournament and hopefully will see some of those teams early. Less than a month out! This should be an exciting yr!

And don't forget, summertown returns 2 sophomores that were all district, region and state players from last yrs state runner up team. There's gonna be a war for the next 3 yrs in women's basketball in district 12A between Summertown and Loretto!

Do NOT and I repeat do NOT count out Summertown and Loretto! This is gonna a great rivalry for yrs! Both are loaded to the gills with very young talent but experienced talent! District 12A ain't no joke....

This is my biggest problem with softball at the state tournament. The girls get screwed! They treat it like a 4 day travel tournament. It should be set up just like baseball on Rutherford co school softball flds where kids can have their name called out, music played, better fld conditions and the championship game played at MTSU just like baseball! Thats my rant for the day! Go Summertown Lady Eagles!

I think summertown is a state champion contender but I've got 2 kids on the team so I'm biased. Loretto is a team that has gotten better and better every week so don't look past them. They have a new coach that has revived their program. And yes , summertowns toughest district game was a 8-2 win vs Loretto but hopefully all the tournaments we've played will help that aspect

Yea, your definitely not talking trash abt kids....(see above) The Lawrenceburg central HS thing is and insider that unless u like listening to our broadcasts should never bother u. And don't say those 3 ran away from AAA competition. They ran away from a freakin train wreck as far as basketball goes. I've never posted or ever will post anything negative abt Law Co. heck, I even said they could win state in softball on xsports live the other day. Fact is you've let your hatred for me turn into talking bad abt my kids and any other athlete in summertown. I know it, U know it. It's time to let it go Corey and u freakin know it

I'm friends wth our basketball coach for sure. He's a good guy that cares abt his kids. Can't help what JayChampman posts but u can help talking trash abt kids. U know where I am all day everyday and where I live. Also u know where I'll be this week. I'm up for any face to face u got. It'll be nice to be talked to , instead of about for a change.

He's a douche that supports Lawrence Co and has a personal vendetta against Summertown. He's saying my kids and more are running from competition because as freshmen they decided to go to S-town. He's bffs with LC coach too and thinks he's Jon Wooden even tho he's only won 1 district tournament with the best player to ever come thru there. Don't get on him to much or he'll make up a fake email name and send to your kids coaches blasting u and them.....he's that kind of douche

As a dad of 2 Summertown players I'm not gonna throw out the hate that some on here like to do. Lots wanting to make sure everyone knows West TN is tops and since our 3 losses were to West TN teams , u won't here an argument from me. That game was a great game and was up for grabs until the final 2 min. Greenfield took it, we didn't. Everybody just try to remember your on here talking trash abt 15-18 yr olds playing each other that unless your a parent of have nothing to do wth any of their talent or records. Y'all wanna trash refs , im in! Again, congrats to Greenfield. It was well deserved and I've got a feeling the next 2 will be too! Great team and coach. Congrats to Summertown on the best record in school history and going farther than any team has gone before!

Met coach Trevathan at the drawings and he's a class act. I think these two teams are prime examples of starting the fundamentals early and getting good at the right things. Watching both teams you can't tell if they're right or left handed until they shoot. They play as a team and for each other. Pulling for Summertown and hope we get a gold ball instead of silver but will be the 1st to congratulate Coach Trevathen and Greenfield if it doesn't work out my way!

They're losing 8 Srs (6 that play) so nxt yr will definitely be a rebuilding yr but wth Jenna Brazier and Kaley Campbell playing as 8th graders last yr and Haley Jones playing a ton as a freshman this yr they will have 3 kids wth a lot of experience. I'd say the goal will just be to get back here nxt season tho. In 2 yrs when those 3 freshmen are JRs , watch out! Gotta a great group of 7th and 8th graders behind um

Summertown is gonna play like they're playing with house money..... They are the first team in the history of Summertown basketball (boys or girls) to have made it to the finals in the thousands of teams that have made to state from S-town. They have nothing to lose and I hope play that way. Both coaches have a ton of respect for each other and I hope this is a classic. Look for Reily Brazier to gaurd Moore and Josie Franks to gaurd Darby. We'll see if they have more success than the rest that have tried. Go Lady Eagles!

Summertown should have the edge on experience returning everyone except 1 from last yrs team but Dresden is playing as well as anyone in the state and as I said before, their losses were to studs. No scrubs left. Gotta be ready for a war. Can't wait to watch tonight's 2 games
