Been a quite week on this thread was hoping it would liven up a little. I'm sure Westy fans think they got us handled but I'd like to hear why they think they can. If I get a little participation I'll give my 2 cents on why I believe Meigs might win. Any takers?

I'll give you mine.... This will be tough game for both teams. Being at Westy and not having to travel I think helps us but Meigs has made the long haul before and sent a very good TC team to the house. I like our defenses chance against Meigs offense but you could say the same against us lol. I think its a low scoring game and if (big if) either team scores 21 I believe they win. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a 14- something win.............. I think 9 of our starters play both sides of the ball, those 9 have to dig deep this week.

Tickets at the gate are $10 I think. Go fan are $8. Unfortunately we have digressed it seems. We hoping to catch a new spark here in the playoffs. We feel we have played some stiff competition to prepare us for playoffs. We will see tomorrow. We are hoping our 16 seniors will play like it’s their last home game because it will be unless we keep winning! This is my youngest sons last season! #64!

Need to do something with your oldest one.... We can't have his son running around in Tiger Blue! Get him back to Westmoreland!

  3. If our offense is as sound as it was last week (I know we were playing a weak team) we make a lot of noise! I think that's what it comes down to for the rest of the playoffs. Defense has proved to be pretty consistent and I don't expect that to change but we have to score. I think our boys have a chip on their shoulder and that's going to help them win this one! Meigs looks big but we got some dawgs, we are always undersized! Safe travels from Meigs! Last time I seen them play was at TC a couple of years ago and they were good! Don't look as good on offense this year from what I see against Marion but defense looked pretty good! To be honest, kind of reminds me of us lol.

Congrats to West! I watched it on tv and looked like the players had a good time. Always nice to WIN!

Line did better, but they didn't have a challenge infront of them.  The ends were blocking better than they have all year, nice to see players in that weren't afraid to do some good blocking. #20 makes me smile when he gets in the game (he plays ball like players did back in the day)  boy on a mission to put a hurtin on somebody.  Along with #19 he little but looks like lightnin in a bottle. Both run hard, hit a hole, and fight for every inch when they touch the ball.  I'm just sayin what needs to be corrected for the boys to win. Shouldn't make nobody upset. It's laughable to me somebody wanna get mad over someone saying what needs to be done to get better. Im gonna say you young by the way you offended by truth. Truth makes people better and helps us be better if we smart enough to listen to it. West is still sloppy on offense and that's the Truth. Coaches need to fix it plain and simple.

Now we got some common ground. I’m with you on all that except the offended part!

I don’t have a dog in the fight to be offended. I got a one year old daughter and that’s it for now, I just like high school sports especially Westmoreland sports. I’m just giving my opinion, no offense here.

Looked to me like the Coach was scared of the Title Game which is why he quit on his boys in the last 40-50 seconds of play. I'm gonna say that had a huge impact on how they felt going into the Whitehouse game. If your coach don't believe in the team how are the players supposed to. Wonder how the parents felt about that? I went to that game and it got pretty heated during that time and should have.

If you watch your line they are doing what they are told to do, go to the 2nd level and don't worry about the 1st man. I have also counted in other games where your qb had 7 sec back there to make a decision and did not do it. That come from getting comfortable with it in practice.  I know y'all don't want to believe it but offense is sloppy and sloppy comes from not enough practice, if you have ever played ball you know it. Ask yourself why the defense does as good as it does but the offense doesn't and never has.

Did you coach last night???? You gotta be the reason we won!!!!

The line play was one of the best performances it’s been all year too, what did you tell them?!?

And it wasn't that close. Harpeth easily worst team  we have played this  year. Too many Eagle penalties that will get us beat next week.  But tonight they  could have easily put up 70+.

I agree with you there…. I hate to be a negative person but we gotta clean it up. First team we have scored at will on other than TC

Don't look like he spends more than the bare minimum on coaching them. From what I am seeing and hearing. Jumping off sides, taking the last 40 seconds or so in a big game ( district championship) and holding the ball instead of running a play, fumbling, a qb who could be awesome if he had someone who had coached him, backs who don't know how to hit a hole, no stats taken or turned in on players to show them their success, no film being watched to see what needs to be corrected, improved, and changed.  All of this tells me he's not wanting to put in what's needed to win as a coach, he's there to get a paycheck or knows somebody who keeps his job for him! I am just calling it like I see it.

If everything you say is true then I would agree with you but I would say be careful with where you get your info....

I'd be willing to bet they are watching film, Offsides and fumbling - he coach it all day but he can't do it for them, both of those are strictly on the players!

As far as backs not hitting holes, I'm with you on that but is that not being coached or just not being done? See what I mean, a lot of this comes down to execution.

I think you are spot on about character of the guys. As far as the season, i have a family member that's a team leader. We talked before the season and his goal was win region and win a home play off game. We thought based on schedule  that 8-2 or 7-3 possible.  So in that regard it's been disappointing.  No further comments on the coaching, play calling or personnel until season is over.

I mean I get it. Obviously when we watch something not work we are going to say they should have done this or done that but the issue to me seems we were scared of a region title game and that carried over a week... I'll say personally (which literally means nothing) I think Law should have more touches, I think Sizemore should have more touches and White should have more touches but other than that on the coaching side I don't know what they have done to force us to lose?

We say pass more, but our line gives Kam about 2 seconds and then he's getting rocked by someone we let through (I have expressed before, we then do not help him up), we don't have any receivers that can get open in that amount of time so most the time when we do pass Kams trying to dodge the whole defensive line which forces him to make a bad decision so we really aren't capable of having that much success unless we maybe move to the shot gun and throw some quick slants.... IDK i'm just an average joe. What I do know is our players have not played like they are capable since fall break...
