  1. Trollin Lipscomb’s is actually much improved despite the winless record. Each game was close to the end with exception of PJ2 where they lost by 10. CA beating Lipscomb 16-10 was not impressive given CA’s talent. Good post Trollin. You are probably spot on with a lot of your statements. I think DA will be humbled tonight—win or lose.
  2. Vandyfan1 I’m going to the Goodpasture game next week. I wouldn’t say both are completely comparable but certainly similar in their style of play, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. Can’t wait to hear about Waverly’s Pass attack versus DAs secondary. If Waverly wins I think Goodpasture has a shot next week.
  3. I’m not a fan of either. I have a relative at Goodpasture and they play DA next week. I’m looking forward to seeing DA up close.
  4. Very similar teams athletically. Peabody has a much bigger Oline. I would give the QB and RB nod to DA.
  5. Agreed kwc. Moot point anyway at this stage of the season as they are what they are.
  6. As an Alumni of Gallatin and former player from the 80’s I too was taken back by the gentlemen’s boastful and arrogant candor. Let me preface that it has been a pleasure watching Mt. Juliet football rise up in notoriety through the years. I have nothing but the utmost respect. Gallatin football today is nowhere near the championship caliber which enjoyed nearly 30 years of dominance. Mt. Juliet football is still working to get where my former school has been. I look forward to seeing Mt. Juliet bring a championship back to the region. Good Luck the rest of the season.
  7. Kwc I agree with everything you have stated and posted, however, the lack of creativity on offense, in my opinion, is indeed open for debate. The offense is productive against most teams merely due to the level of talent on the team, but as you get into the playoffs, schemes are vital from round to round. You can’t just win on talent alone. Teams like Maryville proves this point. The lack of creativity is what got them beat in the playoffs against Cane Ridge. Although Cane Ridge has the same issue.
  8. Found the post below from Chris Smith’s recruiting blog when DA faced FRA. DA beat FRA 40 to 20 who I think is a level up in D2. Key players for DA are QB Stone Norton- FIU, RB Dajoun Hewitt- Purdue, DL Ani Izuchukwsni- Mississippi State, and the other two below DL/OL Chris Pillow and SS/WR Mikyan Duncan are drawing interest from D1 schools but have not committed. Pre-Game Poll: Who win's tonight's game between the Panthers & the Bears??? Names to know....FRA: @swaggylance @Tmitch1567 @RileySpeed Jr - WR Kingston Gardner, Jr - QB Sean Casey Davidson Academy: @Iamdajounhewitt @stonenorton3 @chrispillow64 @mikyanduncan @izuchukwuani12 #MidTN9 #CSS
