Those Coffee County vs Tullahoma games will be worth the price of admission!  Imagine if Duncan had stayed at CC.  They very well could have been in state tourney two years in a row.      Especially last year!

Especially with CC getting another recruit in this week along with another parent to help assist.  Maybe my Rebelettes should go out and start finding some of these players to bring in like Coffee County seems to be doing.

Is Ashtin Holman playing this year at FC? I heard she was going to just run track.

Unfortunately do not think it would matter if she played for my rebels this year.  All the best to that fine young lady but we are in a rebuild project and it will not get better for a long time.

Tullahomas play calling was horrible last week vs Shelbyville.  Same plays over and over.  The QB would not step up into the pocket. Eyes on the line not down field.  Panic attack.   Plenty of times the running back has kicked out an overside DLineman and the QB trys to run around the kick out and not step up.

The one thing I haven't seen from a Tullahoma team in a long time are kids that are above the team.

Tullahomas team came out after halftime vs. shelbyville they stretched and talked over things in the end zone before the third quarter started.  After they run to the sidelines here comes 12 ,22 and 2. (no coach or trainer was with them.  Just the 3 individuals)  They are 5 minutes late out of the locker room.  Taking their sweet time.  The first drive....crucial drive of the 3rd quarter and it failed.  Might need a reality check.  Coach Olive over the years would send a message to these 3.  Not sure that will happen now.  I think they are worried about a lot of show.

    Maybe Coffee has a chance!

Sounds like someone is upset their kid is not playing

after watching my rebels let the raiders hang around there was a big difference in endurance and plays from FC to coffee last Friday.  I think Tullahoma wins by two touchdowns going away in the second half.

???? I was asking about the transfer from Alabama that went to FC that was mentioned earlier. I thought that FC was implying Franklin Co. and not Columbia. That was the one I was asking about. So did FC get a transfer from Alabama or not?

    Columbia received transfer from Oakland.

    Will BEECH win 9AAA [YEYYYYYY]

Will they have 9AAA player of the year [4 SURE]

    COACH OF THE YEAR [G.O.A.T]

Beech is a very well coached team but didn’t someone say they had a major injury this summer?

With the connections between TN Report and the TN Flight program it’s obvious they have some very biased rankings.  But I will say this MJ didn’t look good this summer when I watched them.

Total connection between the Flight Program, the Insells, and the report. You hit the nail on the head Ladycavsfan.  Can deny it all they want but things “are a changing” and people are seeing the light in TN

When the season ended, I thought it could be a toss up for 1st next season. After seeing what Cope has added in youth, I think they are back as the front runners. Both the freshman PG and post should be able to contribute by Christmas once they have gotten their feet wet. From what I saw this summer, CC will be stronger in the post than last year and have a good mix of veterans and youth at the guard spots. Oh yeah, Also return the POY- Bella can play any position on the floor and do it very well.... Losing Morgan and Vaughn will hurt, but CC will have a deeper roster this year and that is a plus. Tullahoma has the players to contend but I wonder about the chemistry. Gotta get the post touches to keep her motivated. LC’s team has finally gotten to the junior or senior level. Those youngsters are veterans now and I think Tipps is outstanding. Who’s the best PG? Hard to say as the talent around any player is important. SCHS or FC may have the best PG but it may not actually show based on the talent around them.

I love my Vols, but man I’m ready for basketball season.

Talking with a wildcat fan tonight at church he mentioned that the freshmen class in Tullahoma should be good as well with a point guard and a forward and also mentioned the post freshmen at CC is from Tullahoma and that FC got a transfer in from Alabama has anyone else heard this?

yeah shelbyville only had 7 to 8 players this summer. We are up to 9 now lol. Coffee got an 8th grader from Grundy Co. She scored 1000 points in middle school, she sees the floor and understands the game really well and will get Vinson the ball when she is open.  I bet nobody calls Vinson by the wrong name lol, just messing with you Lady Cavs Fan. Good luck to you this year.

I was impressed with 1000 points in middle school until I found out that grundy only had K-8 elementary schools and no middle schools so when did the middle school start for the new PG?

In my opinion, the pg at Lincoln Co. will be the best in the district. Holman will be by far the most athletic pg, but the girl from Lincoln Co. has the best all around game. The freshman at Coffee will be good, just not sure that she will be the best in the district this year, her first outside of Grundy and with it being at a AAA school. She will get there though.

Yes the Lincoln County Guard might be the best player in the district this year. I did not see everyone play  but there is solid players on every team and a lot of transfers coming in from what I’ve read. Alexander might have to do it all in Shelbyville but they did not lose much after graduation and it is Shelbyville so might have some girls come out once season starts.

1000 points is the accomplishment.  I thought they got a transfer, why i asked who the PG was that came in. A freshmen should not worry the PG Alexander from Shelbyville who is very good, the one from Lincoln, and Holman from Franklin.

Tullahoma was a different team the second have of last year.  The post that became eligible REALLY improved that team.  That and Duncan may be the best player in the district this year.   Especially with Vinson coming in off of an injury over the summer.   CC will be solid but they will miss the scoring of Morgan and the physical play of Vaughn.   Now teams can focus defense on Vinson.  I still expect them to be very good.  I saw the PG and Vinson play several times this summer.  They will carry that team a long way.  I haven't seen the enough of the other teams to give a solid opinion but unless they all improved drastically I think CC and T Town will fight it out.   That rivalry game should be a good one.

What PG did coffee county get, a transfer?  Interested to see them play this season.

Tullahoma will be a contender as they had no seniors last year. Coffee still has some solid players, but the loss of Vaughn and Morgan's floor presence is likely to be palpable at times as both of them had a tremendous ability to come through in the clutch. I believe that Lincoln will also be a team that will be able to upset at times, they had lots of young players and Coach Tipps has the ability to adjust really well. Should be interesting!

No seniors I did not realize that for Tullahoma.  I believed Lincoln was the only team with no seniors, that is interesting for a team that won district tournament in Tullahoma.  Coffee has superior coaching and the MVP so I will stick with them and Lincoln to be my top two. How does Franklin County look with their new coach?  And earlier I was reading Shelbyville only had 8 players, is this true?

Coffee returns three starters plus all of their bench and added a couple of transfers and a potentially strong freshman class.

Lawrence and Lincoln also have strong freshmen classes coming in.  Tullahoma should be in place to go to the region again with a third or fourth place finish and starters returning. Coffee was a lot like most teams I saw last season in this area in that they didn’t use their bench much so losing two starters could be hard when one is Morgan.

  14. I do believe Lawrence County will be much better and Lincoln County should return everyone.  Does Coffee and Tullahoma return most of their pieces?  How is Franklin County and Shelbyville with new coaches?  This district could be a toss up

How are teams looking this summer at camp?

I have been told my lady rebels at fc are starting to come together and new kids are looking good. I believe cc is only team that has played and maybe schs but cc has scheduled weak teams and dominated.  I can not wait to see my rebels take the floor under new leadership and it will be fun to see schs with a new coach and what they are able to do.
