Not surprised Lawrence beat Lincoln last night but by the margin of close to 30 does surprise me.

I think my rebelettes might not win a game in district as hard as that is to say and lawrence seems to be the team to beat.  lawrence will beat tully after seeing us play them as close as we did and can never count them eagles in Bedford out

I know a little more about all this than you think.  Check schedules the past 4 to 5 years and see how many single A and AA teams CC and Tull played.  In fact there were years where Huntland, Cascade, and MC dominated both of these 2 teams.  Play up to your competition and get better instead of scheduling wins.

found out through my daughters boyfriend that tully girls only were in tournament because boys were in it.  but sounds like from earlier post they won by 30 each game and played everyone so they did get younger girls better

Definitely think Fayetteville could upset the district standings a bit. Much improved from recent years. I think the top teams will split with Cornersville being the whipping post this year.

did Fayetteville end up winning the Richland tournament this past weekend

    Richland Christmas Tournament

    Cornersville vs Ardmore (AL)

    Eagleville vs. Fayetteville

    Community vs. Huntland

    Richland vs. Tullahoma

I have eaten my crow in regards to Tullahoma. Much improved from last time I heard about them.

I need to get out and see a lady hornet game I hear they play good ball in Huntland

Stone memorial could give bearettes a challenge in the region tournament. I thonl thr winner of that hosts sectional against probsbly stewsrts creek or blackman. Bradley could use some Blackman revenge.  Is there a reliable national poll? Last year usa today had bradley at 25th after they won the title

nobody from 8aaa will make it to see Bradley or stone.  My rebels do not want to see stone memorial anymore this year

Heard that St Rose is the 2x defending state champion in NJ.

but does tn not produce best talent in terms of girls basketball and with only three divisions who knows what state championship level the other teams from other states are really on. I live 30 minutes from al where there are five or more hs basketball divisions

Not sure it's guaranteed Tullahoma gets wins. Eagleville is a tough game. Depending on results Tullahoma may get more than bargained for.

believe final was tully 72 ehs 40 so this really was a spot on assessment about gurantee

To get wins. Them and Coffee County play any smaller school that will play them. That's neither of them will have anything for the Murfreesboro schools in the regioN. They both need to be playing bigger schools to get better for later on.

CC played Baylor and riverdale and white co which all are big schools or ranked private schools. and looking at the tully schedule they play warren, father ryan and lebanon after playing hendersonville and gallatin and independence that all are way bigger. I’m just an old rebelette fan from fc but looking at these schedules I am going to say you have no idea what it is you are saying. tully is closer to 2a in size and coffee has played a tough schedule to date with some wins mixed in. coming from a rebel boy I know the frustration but you are not correct

CR is a small very small town in Upper Cumberland, Coach Rogers don't back away from competition.  He beats all these big schools in camps in the summer ,they just cant take off and play everywhere. He beats very good AA and AAA teams in the Upper Cumberland quite regularly.  Your statement has no merit. His teams may not be flashy at times or meet the eye test but they will beat you!

seen them 3 times in last 20 years and i agree. boost record

The people complaining about the brackets. Haters.

nobody is hating or really minds a host team taking the easy way to boost wins in their own tournament.  done all the time is all that was pointed out especially up in wc.  call hate or whatever else, in fc we call it being told the truth

Clarkrange is in the toughest bracket with , Rhea County and Macon. With Clarkrange and Macon playing tomorrow.  White County host so they play no competition till Saturday.

same tourney every year, wc plus nobody until the second or third day if that.  typical md

2 horse race and 1 of the horses has real big teeth

my fc is not one of those horses.  How are the spring sports looking?  FC softball should be strong this season.

    agree though, real big teeth

You are delusional if you believe a different coach would have made a difference against Tullahoma or Cc. Those teams are vastly more talented than FC is this year. They don’t have much choice but to play young girls. Three of the juniors they have playing(1 starter) didn’t play as sophomores. One of the first girls off the bench and may have started a game or two wasn’t even a consistent contributor on JV the last two years. I think as a coach you have to let some of these young girls play if you want to have any shot at getting better the next few years. They seem like a great group of girls, but they have some work to do to compete this year. Coach Gilliam isn’t going to give up in a game, but she does seem to be interested in getting some young players some minutes in hopes to be better in the future. FC could certainly have benefited from the two girls who were at FC as freshmen and left for Huntland after not enjoying playing for the Heltons. If you are a true Fan and Supporter of Franklin County Athletics, then be just that.

CC game and tully game along with stone memorial and some others are not winnable regardless of coach.  Coach G will be fine and is building but hard to watch these girls this year
