Powell wins a tough one to split with Halls in district play 3-1. Great pitchers duel tonight.

The USSSA Ghost will not be listed on the USA approved, or non-approved list, as it was never a USA bat. It is illegal for HS play acoording to NFHS which uses the USA approved bat list. I cannot find any ruling that the USSSA Ghost is legal for high school.

Looks like 3AAA will be the toughest district to get out of to make regions again this year. All three of the teams you listed are capable of making it to state.

Another big name field at the Eastman Tourney this weekend. Defending champs and AAA state runner up Walker Valley along with TKA, Powell, Greenville, Morristown East and Daniel Boone will be there along many others. Mixed into a field of Alabama’s who’s who in Softball, TN teams represented our state well this week. Powell, Anderson Co., Soddy Daisy and Goodpasture made it to the final eight out of 41 teams. Powell finished T3rd in the single elimination bracket. This tournament was probably the toughest in the southeast this year. Congratulations to Sparkman HS (AL) for winning it all. Allison Farr from Powell cannot be left out of the conversation. Lead Powell to AAA State runner up as a sophomore and AAA State championship as a junior. 1.11 ERA and just under 600K’s in her first three years.
