Actually I have a whole list of bad calls by the umpires but I didn't feel it was necessary to list them all. However, not once did I say that those calls made a difference, but if you want to point it out. If you have a team that does what they are suppose to and get two obvious bad calls in a row then that rattles a team. That is especially important when the umpire repeatedly calls a pitch that never crosses the plate a strike all night.....ummmm....yea that is enough to rattle a team's performance.

Last night we had a questionable call. OC through the ball home and the runner beat the tag, but never touched home plate. He was awarded the run but even after he got up he went straight to the dug out and never touched the plate. He was out. The other night against Crockett one of our players was thrown out at second but he was near the end of his slide by the time the guy swiped him. Swiped him on the helmet when his 6'1 body was already on the base.

Rambo was throwing some heat. How many strikes out did he end up with tonight?

Dyer Co and Obion Co.

No pitching depth? We have the winningest pitcher tonight against Crockett who has been solid all year and then for the 3rd game we have a senior pitcher who is has been also pitching solid who put up the best pitching stats of the year last week. Pitching is NOT OC's problem errors are. Coach has made some defensive moves that might just work to pull the biggest upset in district 13AA. Don't be surprised if OC moves on to the region.

I have to give Chester Co much credit. Any team that can hold a good team to less than 30 points is one great defensive team. And we know defense wins championships.

Actually you guys [Westview] beat them 3 times.

Walker Valleys: Bulter, Cox Obion Co-Jenna Roney Boliver-Rhodes Chester-Holiday, Thomas, Holmes Austin East-Anderson, March, and Gast [dont know how to spell it]

1. Westview 2. Obion Central 3. Dyersburg 4. Gibson County 5. Milan 6. Crockett County 7. Dyer County

Just in case you are wondering. As far back as I can remember, Obion Central has been put out every year [many first round if not all] by the team that wins it all. So my bet is AE.

To all those throughout the year that said West Tennessee was weak and overrated, I just want to point out that: A: USJ [West] vs Trenton [West] AA: Chester Co [West] vs Austin East AAA: Dyersburg [West] vs Mt Juliet 4/6 teams are from West Tennessee and all in pretty close driving distance. If truth be told, it's a fluke that Obion Central or Bolivar didnt make it from their side. Look out Middle and East Tennessee, there are going to be lots of West Tennesseans in the Murphy Center tomorrow.

Disbelief......... Way to go Chester Co but I woulda never thunk it. So far we got A-West TN vs West Tn, AA West TN vs East Tn, AAA TBA could be another West TN..... Who says WEST TENNESSEE isn't impressive? thumb

Obion Central brought out about 400 their first night.

I wouldn't exactly call beating a team who only scored 7 points in the first half impressive. Besides, Walker Valley should be in AAA and Obion Central lost the game themselves with no help from Austin East. However, I am pulling for Bolivar against AE but Walker Valley will embarass them come Saturday night.

Basically OC handed AE that game. OC could have put the away by 15-20 points but Suiter chose to bench too many players at once and put in freshman. Then the turnovers. I disagree with several of Boykins walks they called and their team was literally pushing them all over the court. That was OC's game to lose and they did. By the way, if they woulda pulled that one off with poor 3 point shooting and 27 turnovers, they woulda surely beat Bolivar again. OC I am afraid you lost a state tourney rematch with Westview.

OCCHS beat Westview 2 times while they were ranked #1 and beat Upperman while they were still ranked. Austin East is an athletic program. Looks alot like Hillcrest only they are more structured and have better fundamentals. Should be a good match up.
