  1. Probably to more or less put the gossip mill to rest. Facts not fiction, although fiction is a better read that boring facts.
  2. Mahaney no longer with team, decided to go different direction 3 new pickups after state: 2 from E. Tn Bulls (Kortni & Jazzmin) and 1 from Watertown (Mi), Dawson is now from Shelbyville.
  3. regal, he probably was asked to post the info SINCE it is on the web site. Organized maybe he does need to be BUT do you want to sponsor the website? That takes a lot of work especially for one who isn't compensated for his time that I am aware of. Maybe you need to keep your nose out of other peoples business. It was just info posted and it is correct info. Anyone that has anything to do with SSS AAU basketball probably already knows this info anyway. Good luck to ALL of the girls at Nationals and welcome to Coach Wright! Keep your heads up and FOCUS on the ultimate goal not the things going on around you!!
  4. Fri. 8:00 at Riverdale vs. SMAC Showtime Sat. 11:00 at Riverdale vs. AL Roadrunners 2 2:00 at Riverdale vs. TN Wings This is the latest schedule that I have. I know it has changed but not sure if it affected the 16s.
  5. Why did you post that to the kids? I don't understand why you have to take your frustration out on a group of 13 year old girls. If you have a problem with Showtime, then direct it it him, not the girls. Your comment is so far off base it really shows your true colors. I believe I said it before about coach being a man, dish it to him, he can take it but leave your comments about our girls out of it, your talking about MY daughter now! Nothing like a moma lion ready to protect her cubs!!! And please don't say you didn't intend any harm, that is exactly what you intended, because I am sure you know that many read this and it will get back to the girls.
  6. Nope, 13u is future rewards!
  7. Lady Bulls didn't make it to state this year.
  8. SSS(+13) beat M. Elite(-13) tonite and they are one step closer to championship. 2 games tomorrow and one on Sunday (to the championship game), you guys can do it. Keep your heads up and play smart!! Stay focused!! And please don't get on here and bash the refs. Pretty fair on both sides, SSS got some calls and so did Elite.
  9. New players: Post from Last Years TN Elite - Strong left hander Two Players from LY SSS - one gaurd, one post The 12yr old who was with the Lady Belles LY (see other posts for comments on her) Gaurd who played for Riverdale (Not sure about her AAU LY) 825667011[/snapback] Actually, she has three players from the SSS teams last year, the two from SSS Nike and then the one guard from the second SSS team, I know she is from the Murfreesboro area and she may be the one your talking about from Riverdale, first name is Austin?
  10. Who did they lose to? And does that mean the Bulls are out unless they qualify through a regional?
  11. Are these correct? South: 1 SSS Orange Nike 2 SSS Blue West: 1 West Tn Tigers 2 Memphis Elite East: 1 Tn Elite 2 East Tn Bulls North: 1 Team Pride 2 Tn Lady Tigers Then would that put these teams in the pools for state: 1 SSS Orange Nike Tn Elite Memphis Elite Tn Lady Tigers 2 West Tn Tigers Team Pride SSS Blue East Tn Bulls Just wondering how the matchups would be.
  12. Somebody, please tell these girls, GREAT JOB!! Keep up the good work. Wish we could be there to cheer you guys on, but someone had a game today.
  13. Jumpshot, if it isn't too much of a problem, would you please refrain from using all caps? It is like your screaming at us plus it is a little harder to read. And I would like to address the problem you have with teens running the books and clocks: 1. Have you ever tried to put a tournament this size? It is very hard to get that amount of adults to stick around the gym all day for no pay and then you have the problem of "Well I would like to see my daughter play but they are playing at another gym." 2. The teens that are running the clocks and books are learning responsibilities that are important in life. I know for a fact that the girls running the gyms are all potential players, current players, and other althetes that attend the school. They are earning respect from their teammates and learning that they must do things as teammates to succeed as a team. By sweeping the floor, picking up trash, doing all the little things that make a tournament run smoothly that most adults would complain about. 3. And if you ever have a problem or complaint, try doing it your self at your own tournament, jr pro games, jr high games, or even your local high school. At least there you don't have the addition problem of the shot clock. 4. You can't please all the people all the time. 5. After receiving her medallion this weekend, my child wasn't very pleased with it. She only wants to play and get better. She is working for a different trophy that she may receive after her senior year. She already has a shelf full of those recogonition awards that so many other cherish but sometimes we as adults expect too much. Instead of wanting our child to achieve the MVP award or one of the best awards, we simply want to "get a trophy". And please don't come back on here and start blasting me. These are my opinions and I am not forcing them on you, just trying to give you another point of view to consider. You have yours and I have mine. PS: The big trophy you should be striving for is given out at the Nationals, not Shelbyville.
  14. You guys are absurd. One the SSS is not retaliating against the memphis girl who chose not to play with SSS this year. Actually, I don't believe anyone expected her back at all. Why would you drive half way across the state when you have a very talented team in your back yard? The other Memphis girl that did choose to play with SSS is another case. And it really doesn't matter about how bad or good the refs are. You still have to make the shots and get the rebounds. SSS did the best job that I have seen them do in the last two weekends on getting the defensive rebound. I wished we had kept the stats on this game as we ususally do but I would wager our rebounds doubled that of the Tigers. And I am not talking about the rebounds from our big girl. The other players really got in there and got the ball. Good calls or bad calls, you still have to make the shot count. Refs can't stop you from shooting all the time. Good luck to all of the teams this year. Tennessee should really be represented well in the Nationals. Just wonder if ALL the teams could pull together and stop pulling apart to representing our state well. P.s. The Team Pride parents are the rudiest parents in the whole tournament. Well most of the parents. If you guys would stop yelling at your daughters and let them listen to their coach, they might actually play up to their potential. You guys are so worried about the refs you forget about the game.
  15. SSS hasn't anyone from Kentucky, she is on the 16u team
  16. Only time will tell. And really, if Woosley's team is so good, let's hear a roster. The only 2 I know of were cut from the SSS team. I know both and both are good players, just not was wanted for this team. Still wish them luck and I will root for them anytime they aren't playing SSS. Roster any one??
  17. 1, can she beat 6' 4", and 2, have you seen the Tigers or the Elite play? Don't know what kind of team she has but those are two majors factors facing her from 3 different teams.
  18. Visitation is at 6:00 p.m till 8:00 pm Sunday at Hillcrest in Shelbyville. The Funeral will be Monday not so sure of time
  19. The Shelbyville Sport Shop 13u and Team Pride 13u should be good teams this year. I have heard that other 13u teams have broke up (lady Bulls, Memphis Waves, etc). This is sad because they had some tough teams. Are there any other 13u teams in the state? Or is the best competion coming from outside of the state for these two teams? Now is Tiffany Woolsey coaching the Team Pride 13u( I heard that she was)? They have some good players on that team. Shelbyville has added some new players with Tom Insell, Jim Brown and Rick Insell coach them this year. Could some one name the 13u in the state?
