  1. I’ll give that impenetrable D a little credit and say you hold us to two less scores than last time, but it’ll still be 35-14 BigRed coming out on top. I get it, you have nothing to lose and might as well go all in. But you might want a slice of humble pie before you bite off more than you can chew.
  2. AND our freshman quarterback threw for 230 and 3 touchdowns on that juggernaut of a defense DC has. I now understand what some others were saying about the trash talk. It’s pretty bad when the HC folks are the humble ones. This game will end with at least a +14 margin for the Patriots.
  3. They’ll probably just hire the head of officials as a liaison or something. Problem solved.
  4. It definitely is the truth. You would think that they would’ve learned that lesson the first time around.
  5. Defense does their thing again, wreaking havoc in the Wildcat backfield. CHS comes out with 9+ in the box, and Damron lights them up throwing to Odoms, Perry, Rushing, Kendall and Aldridge. That’ll open the run game back up, and our 4-Headed monster at RB goes to work. JeMarcus Johnson leads the way with 80+ yards and two scores. Clarksville tacks one on late but misses the extra point. One man’s fearless prediction: 40-13 BigRed moves onto the 3rd round.
  6. Really only so much you can say. Just ready for Friday. I think our D will once again be elite. Also think that our freshman QB has a field day against the Clarksville High defense. Just a hunch.
  7. 25 could end up being pretty special for us. Assuming he stays. I’ve heard some rumblings he may move. I hope not, very talented young man.
  8. That’s what fans do. I’m pretty positive the team isn’t looking past this week right here. And I seriously doubt you have me beat in the age department, if you do then you’re old as dirt
  9. I don’t think we’re taking anyone lightly, especially after Friday night. I just see some enthusiasm around the program and this team has figured out how to win tough games. Lighten up a little and enjoy the ride.
  10. Y’all do realize we’re fixing to go on a run right? I just have that feeling. If we limit the mistakes, there’s no telling what this team can accomplish.
  11. Clarksville looks to have gotten better, but they’re playing on Henry County soil this time, which gives the Patriots a +7 every time. I’ll say 42-13, as that’s 7 more than last time.
  12. Not anyone with any sense. Same thing with Henry County after their first round game.
  13. I know what you’re referring to as I talked to a family member early in the week, but it was a nonissue last night. Played no part in why they didn’t throw. I think it was more about their defensive scheme and not being sure we could block a six man front. Several times they had 9-10 in the box last night, at some point you have to take a few shots and hope you can beat man coverage. Or at least get them out of it. I trust our coaching staff though, and have no doubt they will figure it out.
  14. I’ve been saying that all season. There’s going to come a time where he has to win a game for us at some point. That third and long throw was pretty clutch to keep the drive going.
  15. This could be said for football in general, not just high school. Maybe UT will get the memo.
  16. This is crap. What’s it going to take for member institutions to stand up and say enough is enough. This is just one example of the TSSAA being hypocritical to their non-profit stance.
  17. I wonder what percentage the TSSAA gets of these playoff tickets, and what the schools get. Do any of you know? I think the Patriots will come out victorious Friday night, but I do see Ridgeway being a handful. Depth and coaching will win out in the second half. 21-13 at the half, 35-13 final. They’ll hit a couple of big plays in the first half, one on special teams, but we make the halftime adjustments needed to shut them down after that. That’s my prognostication. GBR
  18. @BlackHavenSenator regardless of how it shook out, who do you believe is the best team in that region? I think we may be facing them Friday night in Ridgeway.
  19. It’ll be a closer game than ours will be. Plus it’s a toss up, ours is not.
  20. You’re right, I just looked at their region schedule. My apologies. I stand by my comment on the environment though, there’s no place like home for Henry County.
  21. If Ridgeway shows up and plays well, it could be semi-close. They haven’t played a team as good as Henry County, nor have they played in an environment like they will play in this Friday night. I’m hoping we come out hot, and not slow like we have the last couple of weeks. I’m staying with my 35-13 prediction for now. Survive and advance, injury free, is all I care about from here on out.
  22. Careful what you wish for big guy. You better worry about this first round game. Kirby is a good football team.
