Nobody on Central’s schedule has a Gabe Masingale. Nobody. When he plays this offense is scary.

Well it wasn’t big but it was a win. Offense looked very stagnant. Defense came through big tonight. Prayers for the Brainerd player who left in an ambulance.

It was a fourth and goal pass deflected in the end zone. May have been intended for McWilliams. Anyway, Central should roll this week but gotta clean penalties up.

Central big and if Massengale plays it’s even bigger. It was obvious Polk had no chance against him. It’s a shame he only played the second half but it was a smart move to monitor him closely. If he ever gets completely healthy he’s gonna be a game changer. Gotta cut down on the penalties though. The guys on 99.5 never said goal line stand on fourth down and the only time McWilliams was mentioned was on second down when the pass was intended for him.

If Central doesn’t turn the ball over they roll. It will be close in first half due to emotion from Polk playing Central. Second half Central pulls away due to having more athletes. Once again turnovers are the key.

Thanks Yeti. The Signal QB was no joke last year so I’m curious to see how our defense does. We’ve added two from the basketball team to our receiving corp and with the return of both running backs from last year our skilled positions are really good. Curious to see how the revamped offensive and defensive lines hold up over the course of the season.

Central only beat Signal by a field goal last year and Signal was a sophomore dominated team. Their QB and main receiver were only sophomores and played very well last year. Central’s defense better be ready especially against the pass.

I hear ya buddy and I know that’s the popular opinion. However, allow me to be “that guy”. If McMinn is too big and powerful to play then they are too big and powerful to scrimmage.

Central won in 72,73, 74, 88 and 2014 with a forfeit win in 81. Bottom line is taking a beating all in the name of money has gotten old and that ship has sailed. McMinn is rebelling and not playing Central in any sport starting in 23. Funny though, they will still play Meigs in everything but football.

I can’t go into detail but stay tuned. Gonna be some shocked people across the creek next year.

With the exception of Polk County Central may have played their best game of the year in the loss to Sweetwater. With the lead on the first drive of the second half an illegal procedure penalty on fourth down, which was converted, turned the entire game. First and ten went to fourth and six and a missed field goal. Sweetwater took over from there. If Central plays against Sequatchie like they did against Sweetwater and Polk I like their chances. If the Central that played against Loudon and Rockwood shows up its gonna be a long drive home. The question is will the kids play with the same intensity they had at Sweetwater or will they let that game beat them twice?

Central wins region champs host Community. Lose and fall to third due to loss to Loudon which will lead to likely trip to Sequatchie. However, if Central loses but Kingston beats Loudon Cenntral is second. Plus, if Cannon upsets Giles that will lead to three way tie in Region 4.

Thursday these two play for the middle school championship and Friday the high schools play for the region championship. If Sweetwater wins the high school then Central drops to third thanks to losing to Loudon. However, if Kingston beats Loudon then Central can lose to Sweetwater and still finish second. It’s been a rough last two games for the Chargers. Who ya got and why?

Brainerd beating Loudon was the worst thing that could have happened to Central. Hopefully they now understand they are not good enough to overlook anybody. With that being said Rockwood has two stud running backs so Central will need to have their act together. This one has me worried. Could be trap game going into next week. Just because my blood runs blue Central 31 Rockwood 27.

I agree with embarrassing and no effort. As far as play calling I believe it was more of execution than anything. Offensive line struggled big time especially in the second half. Oh well, win at Sweetwater and you’re region champs. Not all is lost.

What about Polk County?

If the Chargers take this one it sets up a showdown with Sweetwater for the region title. Beat Loudon and the Chargers are guaranteed home field for the first round. Who ya got?

Central secures no worse than third with tonight’s win over Kingston. Beat Loudon next week and they are guaranteed no worse than second setting up showdown with Sweetwater. It was very ugly tonight but we will take it.

For those that are interested Central won every game 2011-2016 then the tables turned and oh my how they turned. 2017-2021 Meigs has out scored Central 268-7. 2018-2021 Meigs won 235-0.

I get that and know that but no Central fan ( in their right mind) is gonna talk like we are the ‘85 Bears out to get people.
