  1. Smith Co has my vote to win their region if not finish 2nd to ER so they definitely had a great team to scrimmage
  2. Oneida has always been a team I’d never go into expecting a win nomatter how up and down the team is or what coaching philosophys are in that time it’s just a respectable team to me and always will. I think y’all always have the boys to play it just doesn’t always result in winning.
  3. 4-1 if you want to count us fumbling in the end zone and Scott returning for a touchdown
  4. 5-0 in region barring major injuries or setbacks. I’ve just gone off of local experience with these teams to justify Oneida and Bledsoe being at the top of my list and I as well don’t know enough about Polk right now but a long trip on a bus for them and tellico to Jamestown or Oneida would add to a home hosting team’s advantage or vice versa in my opinion considering that’s a 4 hour trip one way (being generous) considering you stop go in and eat somewhere then continue
  5. Just left York/Scott Co scrimmage while they still played and hopefully corrected by another watcher but varsity York scored 4 and should’ve been 5 but Scott co recovered a fumble while York was trying to get into end zone which made their lone score. No major injuries and York should win their region. Still curious to see how Oneida improved and don’t know really what Bledsoe lost. Wartburg, Polk and tellico I expect to fight for 4th
  6. If all follows of the 11/25/22 date here is my projected picks for region: 1. York/Oneida 2. Bledsoe 3. Polk Co. 4. Wartburg 5. Tellico Plains I would be surprised if it stays cause of the distance to travel, doesn’t bother me cause it’s a change of scenery but I know that’s not the point lol
  7. Yes I saw him myself tonight, if he didn’t get injured earlier that year I fully believe we would’ve been 10-0 going into playoffs and the sad thing is the games we lost besides Milan was less than 6 points and was pretty much from mistakes York made. I know Brian coaches some elementary students where he lives but I’d really like to see him start coaching highschool football somewhere.
  8. I was at Milan in 2009, we were up at the half and the odds were stacked against us going into the game and I’m sure nobody ever thought we’d get that far in the first place but we never doubted ourselves that we couldn’t play with anyone we faced and this team reminds me of exactly that, Go Dragons!
  9. Thanks for acknowledging it not being a fluke, hopefully nothing serious for Bowman
  10. Must be from Putnam co, always over looking teams like York that embarrasses them
  11. York undersized? Lol, ask the rest of region 2 if that mattered. If size mattered I’ve seen a lot of “undersized” York teams embarrass some big boys. I could not disagree with you more about Monterey, easy to shut them down when you just stop Bowman (their rb). Their qb is not even comparable to leffew athletically. York won with all around effort.
  12. He coached from around 97 to 2008 and took a break after his younger son graduated that year to spend time with his daughter while she was younger is what he told. 2009 team went 10-4 and went the farthest in the the modern highschool playoffs that they had been so automatically that would’ve been idiotic to say from the dumb duck. Before coming back for 2017 seasons I’m pretty sure he offered help as an assistant coach don’t know what happened with that but he went 9-3 in 2017-2018 then went 3-8 in 2019. The team he has this year went 3-8 last year now with the lesser talent it had and has already put them at a .500 season. This just goes to show you coaching can make or break teams
  13. I’m sure when someone’s son didn’t get to play that’s when these comments come up. He’s been through thick and thin, don’t let these people fool you with that BS. Obviously everyone can have opinions but doesn’t mean their facts are right.
  14. Obviously your too young to know how long he’s been at York and probably don’t watch enough games to have an arguable comment on this website with anyone.
  15. I know it’s not been Oneidas year but y’all come back strong, always do. I don’t know how long the region alignment will last but I will miss it. I honestly would like to have a yearly rival game with Oneida and it honestly should be because Oneida was the first team York ever played as an organized football team for awhile.
  16. We lost tonight but we had very positive looks from the underclassmen and position changes that were made. Also, I wanted to make clear that sometimes you have to put teams on your schedule that are not preferred that you want to play but that are available to play. I was at the Stone game (4A school), York had a more than fair chance to win that game but mistakes gave it away. I watched this Gibbs game (4a school) from home just like I was there if not better than in person and we had some miscues on handoff’s that caused turnovers (our faults) that gave gibbs multiple possessions to score yet our defense played strong for with the 4 freshman that started tonight. Clay county (1A school) will undoubtedly come out and bust us in the mouth but I think we’re capable of playing at a pretty high level for what we have no matter who is scheduled and I’m very grateful our young athletes that are stepping up than most other 2a sized schools could only hope to have that depth and diversity. Coach Wright has always placed York in winnable positions, it just has to be executed with no to minimal mistake so it doesn’t matter who’s in front of you if you play up or down it’s who takes advantage of what’s given to you and who doesn’t.
  17. We’re on bye this next week which is great for team this late in season but I’m afraid we’ll be in a rough spot after playing Gibbs at Knoxville and clay co away also before Rockwood. We’re thin on running backs and we’ve had to switch them around from other key positions. Main starter may get to come back before end of regular but still probably won’t be 100% if he does
  18. Hoping Oneida pulls the win in this one, I’d like to bring those fareast tn teams west for a rematch
  19. From what I seen tonight I think Oneida can be one of the top two again in the region. Give this team another season to mature what they have and you’ll see good things. Best wishes in the rest of the season and hopefully meet in playoffs
  20. Home, daughter sick or I’d love to have made the travel. I have family up there
  21. Hopefully good hard injury free game for both sides
  22. Who ya got, I’ve got York by 14
  23. This is hard to judge for me being a York fan because I wanna say Monterey but at the same time I think if York played without many mistakes/penalties it’s a toss up. I’m not sure how Cannon Co played but I think they wouldn’t be as good as Bledsoe honestly and Cumberland Co and Jackson Co would be equally equivalent to each other imo so may the better team win…..
