  2. Given these enrollments, Who moves in/out our Region 6-3A 2020 Enrollment Camden 488 Harpeth 527 Cheatham County 628 Stewart County 680 Fairview 691 Sycamore 748
  3. Camden can only be competitive this year at home. When Fairview played them last week, the refs were 100% part of their game plan. It's sad the kids have to play a region team and the referees. Makes me wonder if they were coached to play the way they did.
  4. If you have read of my posts, you will know I support letting the kids play! Play every game you can this season as you never know if you will get a next game. Even if you don't have all your starters, you give the next kid in line a chance to get better. That makes your team better. The other coaches across the field will see the other team is short handed and will adjust his team accordingly. Most coaches are stand up guys and have the best intentions for the kids. Notice I said MOST. Some are different. Teams should be ready to play anyone at any time. You have a practice today to change formations and put in a new plan. Let the kids play.
  5. I spoke to a EH parent this morning at the gas station. They said all players were available this week. Was not aware of a single quarantine for tomorrow.
  6. I wish Camden the best as they go through this transitional period. Our region values the Lions and the two teams always circle our game. Typically this game decides the region each year. There have been many classic back and forth games. That game is Friday and we look forward to our visit.
  7. it was a huge let down to both FV and Waverly when the County, not just the school admin, cancelled the game at 3:00 on Friday, and also cancelled all activities for two weeks. Both FV and Waverly ALWAYS look forward to this game. Its usually one of the best games on our schedule. Waverly brought it and beat us last year. We would have played this game without many starters but we were going to strap up anyway. Both schools worked very hard to get this game back on the schedule but it could not be worked out. Both teams needed to focus on regions games in this weird year. East Hickman also cancelled the game with us because they were missing a couple of kids. They come into our community and talking about how good they are this year and how they are beating 3A teams. They avoided our game and not stepping up with Waverly. East Hickman is taking advantage of this only to make themselves look better. Their coach and admin is dodging their region so they can finally say they went to the playoffs. All teams should be fluid and work on letting the kids play. We went to Lebanon on Saturday without any practice for two weeks and played 6A team. Yes, we got drilled but our boys were happy to be on the field. The parents were happy to see them on the field. Great job East Hickman. That's a great lesson you are teaching the young men in your program. No wonder this country is is full of people running from hard work and commitments.
  8. Fair enough! WCS has failed your program as well! Too many people are penalizing students, coaches, parents, fans, for an over response to Covid. There has to be a better way to adhere to protection but allowing students to have their full high school experience.
  9. Not overly sensitive. You keep trying to paint FV in a bad light with falsehoods. No one cares about game week ribbing between rivals. that's the fun part of the season. It seems you have an issue with the success of our football team over the last few years. Maybe you are a region 3A Region 6 fan of another school and it bothers you we had success on the field. These kids and coaches at all levels work to make these kids ball players. No hard feelings!
  10. This BooHOOWiseMan keeps trying to stir the pot on something that is not true. These kids have been in a FV program from youth forward. Several have had brothers in the program. No transfers, just home grown kids. These kids have competed with one another since most were 5 years old. The quarantine ends on 9/25/2020. First day of school is 9/28/2020. All extracurricular activity can resume on Saturday morning 9/26/2020. BooHOO has a sore spot and an axe to grind over something. Wonder which team he roots for?
  11. This senior group has played together since Jr. Pro. They all love the game, understand their roles and respect their teammates abilities. They are their own biggest fans. Please don't disrespect this group of fine young men that are persevering though things they cannot control. They have done everything asked of them to play this game.
  12. Fairview has more work to do now to free up our very healthy but quarantined players! Our coaches have created a safe but strict environment to keep our boys distant. Good job coaches! Now let's FreeFV!
  13. This is confirmed to be true. Someone had to step in because Sycamore was holding firm to not move the game.
  14. Sycamore has refused to move our game to a mutual bye week. They would rather take a win than compete. Good job Sycamore coaches. That's a great example that you are teaching the kids.
  15. Can't help it when students are required sit in alphabetical order in class for contact tracing. One kid has COVID and it wipes out a 12 foot diameter around that person. Classrooms are not that large.
  16. All these suggestions need to happen. Give these kids a chance to play and play at full potential. The other side of this is some schools are going to miss out on gate. We all know football funds all other sports. We have missed two game/gates so far. The school systems are doing all they can to keep kids apart and safe. In our situation the problems are occurring with non athlete students. The student-athletes are simply pulled into the quarantine situation and forced to sit out for 14 days. Our coaches are doing a great job with separation during workouts and practice and even on the sideline. This is our current situation and it could always change.
  17. So what's the deal with Stewart losing to East Hickman. Did they have kids out for various reasons?
  18. Stewart must have had some kids out as well to lose a game at East Hickman. EH is walking around like they took Alcoa to the woodshed.
  19. The County shutdown the high school. All sports and activities are closed until Wednesday at the earliest. Zero activity is allowed. This is Covid related. Activities were cancelled at 3:00 on Friday. East dropped the game with us. Not sure if it was Covid related or not. I heard they had a number of kids out.
  20. Who knows about rescheduling? They shut down our school until Wednesday. not just a game cancelled. We could be out for a couple of weeks.
  21. Its hard to tell a Senior kid that. The Boys of Fall mentality is big in Tennessee. I agree, its not everything, but to a Senior every game is closer to the last game.
  22. More calls going out now to parents now. Quarantine is spreading faster than any rumor would spread. Won't be anyone left in the schools building soon. These poor kids.
  23. Not true. A negative test does not allow you back in school. Infected is 10 days, exposed is 14 days. No negotiation. Even when you come back from quarantine, you could be exposed again the same day back. This wins you 14 more days of quarantine.
