It was good to establish the run game last night. It shows our kids and coaches if we stick to power football, we can be successful. Running the same play over and over and having success had to be a boost for the team. Nothing against passing, but I don't think its our game. Use it just enough to enough to keep the field open. OLine did a great job last night!
The negative: The penalties need to come with a consequence. We simply can't allow these kids to make these mistakes without them coming off the field for at least a play. What are they learning? I see this each and every week. Fans scream at the refs for making bad calls. But...are we the team that has no discipline and refs call us out for it? I'd love to see the stats last night. Maybe 200 yards in penalties.
