  1. My sources have been pretty quiet at the Dog House. They have not seen much of Josh. I’m assuming that’s because he doesn’t work in the school. There was a rumor that he is deciding on a DC with a couple candidates from local schools.
  2. At this point, Kevin certainly has an argument. I understand he has been a finalist for jobs and was always told he couldn't be the HFC because of his lack of teaching credentials. Obviously, the Bearden debacle has changed all of that you would think in KCS and maybe he will get his shot now that they have opened the flood gates to hire whomever regardless of background.
  3. The biggest question here in my opinion is do they follow the Bearden model and hire someone that is not a certified teacher. I hope it is Coach Hughes, great teacher, alum and community member. I just wonder if this will be given to any random guy that wants to coach like Bearden did.
  4. The word is that a Catholic QB will be following Jones. This is bigger news than the HC hire. Bearden hasn’t had a QB since Ironside graduated.
  5. If Jones is so great what happened at CAK in 2018 when he was OC? Did his high flying middle school offense not come to the games?
  6. Pretty sure JJ is a bookie. Or at least that’s what I’ve been told and seen on his Twitter gambling. He doesn’t need a TA job. All it takes to be a HC is call the plays.
  7. It is safe to say the "ride" has reached a tumultuous state already.
  8. From what I have been told by people close to the situation, the hiring committee was/is (is the search even over or just starting?) a who's who of random people that was a revolving door of personalities. It doesn't sound like it was very organized or much of a vision so I imagine the fine details of what it takes to run a program got lost in the mix.
  9. I think building level administration has some say in who they take if they have room. Ultimately that falls on central office, but I could be wrong. I know it’s tough at a school with maxed out capacity like Bearden.
  10. Wow, this is interesting. I will be very surprised if central office approves the hire of an AAU coach. What happened to the days of coaches being involved in the school?
  11. I am hearing conflicting reports that Josh Jones is and isn't a finalist for this job. What is the rumor?
  12. Not familiar with your background in the area but the OR I am talking about is Oak Ridge. You don't cancel on Oak Ridge, my friend. It's one of the best coaching jobs in the state and a much better position than perennial underachiever, Bearden.
  13. If that is indeed the correct timeline then I doubt the hire will be Rusty Bradley because the info I have been told is he plans to interview with OR later in the week.
  14. Are you talking about @dawgs82's son?
  15. As I have stated throughout this thread, it is rather unlikely that a current member of the dogs assistant coaching staff is promoted due to their lackluster performance over the past few years. You simply do not promote people from a 4-6 team. If one of them were to think he was the man, he probably would've shown initiative and gotten them started back in the weight room by now. I imagine that the assistants have already moved on and explored other coaching opportunities elsewhere.
