I think that’s the way communities are supposed to be! I have always pulled for the teams around here. The Jones kid is an amazing athlete and so was his brothers! The WR Jones made some awesome plays, should have been used more in my opinion. From the few games that I seen, the WRs were under used when they could have been WR U! I also would have liked to have seen the outcome of the Marion county game a few years back had the other Jones QB not gotten hurt. I think this county as a whole has great kids! Thank you for pulling for us! Go Betsy!

Parents can take their kids to whatever school they see fit. I dont think chs knows or has known who their coach is gonna be the past few years. Besides why would we send our athletes to hhs or chs when all the are gonna do is sit the bench while they run power I. I went to the HV and HHS game, and the HHS and Oneida game this year, nephew plays for them. I seen so many senior weapons sit the bench while they ran the power offense. Then the last two minutes of both ball games they show that they can open it up but it was too late by then. Great WRs from what I seen! Didn’t get enough usage! County coaches chase talent, while talent chase the Etown coaches!

For all the recruiting rumors, which is silly to even bring up when the kids have been in the system since middle school. Parents have the right to put their kids in good situations or environments. Three different coaches in two years is not a stable environment for players. Not saying anything bad about the people or kids but that’s tough on a program. When the county has a coach that jumps from one school to another and coaches at three different schools in one year, shows no stability. I also have a nephew at one of those county schools and from the sounds of his stories, the kids don’t enjoy playing for their coach. This is why my kids go to Elizabethton. They weren’t recruited but it was an easy answer to my question, who do I want coaching my kids? So stop blaming Elizabethton for your losses and start looking in the mirror! I will say I have heard of some great teachers in the county and some good coaches, like the HV coach Jarrett, I’ve heard good things about him. I’m still happy with the choice we made.
