Very good game between 2 very good teams. Both have a chance to go very far. Fun game to watch. Next Friday should be another good game between them.

Was at the game last night at East. Great game between 2 very good teams. Well played and went down to last possession. If East shoots 50% from the foul line they win the game. They let them play which is what I hope they keep doing. Everybody wants to see these kids play. Will be fun next Friday in Greeneville for the rematch. Grove and Dabbs were very good last night. Easy may make adjustment and put Ilic on grove next game. Obviously they wanted to keep Kobi out of the lane and they were able to keep Ilic in positions to help out when he got in there. Gville coach i thought made some very good in game adjustments. Cloninger and Ilic were very good last night. Probably had 40 or so and didnt miss a handful of shots all night. Gym was packed great atmosphere for a HS game. Gotta love HS basketball.

Thats true. Who does DB go to in crunch time. SH has Cutlip, East has Simpson. East /Greeneville tom night should be good game. Refereeing will be a big thing come tourney time. If they let them play and dont call flops and touch fouls then East will win our region. I think the only way Science Hill advances is if they call it so tight kids dont get to play and refs effect the game. Kids just got to adapt, but you are right the farther you get away from East Tn they are letting them play. I personally have seen no kid in this area that is so aggressive they should be shooting 10+ foul shots a game. Gillispie /Gville by far is only one that should be close to that many.

Agree, West Ridge plays alot better at home. Greenville/DB Friday will be a good game/ Gville very tough at home. Gville travels to Morristown East Monday for a makeup game.

You guys make basketball season, FUN!!! I dont see West Ridge staying within 20 of Db in Kingsport. Not any real good games this week. All the better teams should have easy games. Should really pick up next week.

I agree, he plays outside way to much. If he stayed around the goal wouldnt be any question East is best team. Easy to pick on big kids in Hs. Refs have hard time officiating them, Db has similar problem with Browder and Malakai. Etsu sees the potential, obviously. A 6'10 kid who can play anywhere on the floor gets a double double every game and blocks 3 or 4 shots a game is hard to come by. Chris Poore would trade any 2 kids on his team to have him. But in Hs he should be around the goal a whole lot more, hopefully East wont figure that out and keep him 20ft from the basket. I know the opposing coaches would rather him be out there, lol.

Watched West Ridge and East. Not a pretty game and didnt think East was ever in trouble. Ilic picked up some real questionable calls and sat half the game. Simpson and Cloninger dominated their guards. West did play alot better this time, dont see how they got beat so bad the game before. Sevier seems to be playing alot better and has East at Sevier Friday night. I've said all along DB has the deepest team and most talent 1 to 8. East has by far the best 3 and a pretty good next 4 or 5. Science Hill cant afford any foul trouble, neither can Sevier Co

I think in the other District everything including the region has Jeff county hosting. Not a bad drive for anyone, right off the interstate. After another few games and seeing what Oak Ridge did to Karns and West Ridge losing. My top 3 and honestly think in both regions they are way above everyone else Region 1 East DB Science Hill Region 2 Bearden Oak Ridge Farragut East has Greeneville Monday night. Should be a good game

Greeeneville and East play next Monday night and Gville has Grainger next week, too.

Watched the DB/EAST game and agree was not a very well played game. One where either team could have won. Still think they are 2 best teams in this region. just curious you say East has 2 great players and one that should be. Simpson & Ilic are both D! players and Cloninger will play college ball somewhere. Science Hill does have 2 really good ones in Cutlip & Livingston Depth wise DB has the most complete team and any of those 6 or 7 could lead them in scoring, but also seems like 2 or 3 are good or no shows stats wise alot of the time. They are really good when Browder and Malakai both play well, feel like they should get more touches than they do.

What's your thoughts after 1st half of season Region 1 1)Morristown East 2)DB 3)Science Hill Region 2 1)Bearden 2)Oak ridge 3)Farragut/Karns Have not seen Karns play will learn alot next Tues when they play Oak Ridge DB or Science Hill will get an easy route to the substate if things play out as they should. East is by far the best team in their district.

Thats a good tourney for them. Id like to know how good Oak Ridge really is. Db, Greeneville and East where by far the best teams the past 2 days up in Kingsport and was a great tourney, wish attendance would have been better but hard with the games starting so early .

Watched games yesterday in Kingsport. East won but didnt play well, played a very disciplined and well coached team. Simpson was fabulous, Ilic didnt do much, was in foul trouble and never really got involved. Db got the win to and looks to be getting better every time I get to watch them. Will see how they both do today.

Monday and Tuesday at DB should be great HS basketball with the teams that are playing those 2 days.. local and out of state teams.

I dont think Db beating Greeneville is any kind of upset. Two very good teams and like someone said earlier at Greeneville they are nearly unbeatable. Db Science Hill should be a great game Friday night. I think Db wins by double digits as Science Hill does not have the size to match up with Browder and Hale. Metz was a great transfer for them. Greeneville will be a state tourney contender in their division and capable of beating anybody on any given night.

Looks that way, lol. Sevier Co beats Farragut at Farragut..Big win for them. Plays East Friday night Not alot being said about them but Ken Wright will have them tournament ready. Big games tonight and Friday night in this region.

District 2 Farragut Bearden Oak Ridge

East DB Science Hill After watching games this weekend in Johnson City my take on top 3 in Region 1 stays the same. DB/Greeneville Tues DB? Science Hill Fri Bearden/Beech Friday night Looks by far the best games of the week. Great to have HS basketball back!!!!

Got to watch East/Bearden game. Good game between 2 very good teams. Parrott took the air out of the ball and slowed game to a crawl and I dont think East was prepared for it. A good win for Bearden and a learning game for East. Havent seen Oak Ridge so I dont know how good they are. After last night I like Farragut as best team in Region 2 with Bearden and Oak Ridge right behind. Against good teams I think Bearden might struggle to get baskets, not knocking them just my impression. East just needs to adjust some things and still think them and DB are best in Region1. Science Hill had a good win at Alcoa and no one better sleep on them They have 2 studs that will keep them in every game. Friday game between DB/East and SAt Science Hill/ Greeneville in Johnson City will be good games.

Like East and DB in Region1. They play Friday in Johnson city at 4. East plays Bearden at Bearden tonight. Will know how real they are by end of this week. Have 2 of the best players in the state in Simpson and Ilic. Db is really good and Poore is a very good coach. Science Hill will be there at the end of the year. Havent seen Oak Ridge but their Coach is one of the best. Was at Farragut/Bearden game. Great atmosphere and game between 2 good teams. I think these 2 are the best teams in Region 2. Hope i get to make it to Bearden game tonight.

Db game must have been cancelled. Farragut/Bearden play tonight and East/Bearden play Tues night and East/ DB play Friday. Should know where everybody is by end of next week. Farragut and Science Hill both appear to have a chance to beat anybody, too. Havent seen West Ridge play, they play Easy Monday. Their record is good but really havent played anybody. Looking at the districts If East loses a game in theirs, then they are not near as good as they appear. Still think Db wins their district with Science Hill 2nd and the other 3 fighting it out for the other 2 spots in the region.

Bearden & Morristown East both 6-0....might both be undefeated when they play a week from Tuesday at Bearden.

Think DB and Bearden will be best teams from Region 1. Think Morristown East and Science Hill are capable of beating either of them. DB seemed to start off slow but still won by like 18. They are very deep and very well coached. Bearden plays at Lakeway on Sat against the home team who has gotten some transfers, still think Bearden rolls. East opens with Fulton tonight in what should be a fun game to watch.
