I think it’s funny how Eagleton, a brand new school, gets turf before William Blount and Heritage are even given the OK to get it

You mean if the Sherriff lets the commission approve of it. Knowing them they'll let them have one on one side of the fifty and the other side grass and revisit the situation in 2 years.
Very true

It's exactly who you think it is. I don't like it one bit either. I enjoy getting kids that move in here from out of state but not next door. That gives our program a black eye and another one the county folks can say we stole from them. I seen enough interceptions against Anderson County 7 on 7 to do me a lifetime.
If that's the case it will be interesting to see if Maryville has a passing attack this year or if they have to rely heavily on the run game. Pretty much every year they've been able to run the ball and throw it on offense and have a good balance. This year I think they might have to get Vaughn 30-40 touches a game, especially against Powell, Alcoa, and Science Hill.

So how many on the team totally? If that is the number of starters back on offense I would bet the farm they go 0-10. That would be so hard to not have a single player back to even think they could win a game at all especially if you went 1-9 last year.
They have around 50 players

William Blount projected to win 1 game? Give me the over! https://www.stateoftennesseehsfb.com/articles/state-of-tennessee-hsfb-class-6a-preseason-preview/

From what I'm hearing from a few parents is that they fled the Wrath of Shad before he had resigned last season at WB only to turn up with short notice when the present coach resigned to take a position at Maryville. They may not had a choice due to the way positions are handled especially just a few weeks from the beginning of school. Last year after moving to a lower competitive region and getting Maryville off the schedule it all really just backfired on WB it seems. I watched everyone of those games on film and if there was a way to lose it they found a way to do it. Every time they had a chance to pull off a win it was like somebody said, here hold my beer. From my personal observation most of that team was un-coachable especially the line. Most of that is due to the pizz poor feeder system going into it, no doubt. The way Shad coaches fits more in line with a single A or AA system because he really had no choice at WB. It's funny how a man that Shad hired as his assistant at WB gets the job as head coach at Eagleton and coached 3 ninth grade games last season against other schools B Teams and got walked all over. He takes an opening at Maryville and now is considered the Holy Grail of Coaches that Shad is going to have to walk in his shadow now according to some of the upset parents of some of these players has been pretty interesting to hear about this weekend.
Those kids need to come back to Alnwick.

Actually Murvl's former girls basketball coach is now the boys basketball coach at Eagleton.
And it depends on your definition of "left".
“Forced out” is a more accurate term

How long til y'all start an Eagleton thread now that your all's man SHAD is there?

Looks pretty good to me…
-
New helmets for WB it appears
-
Any truth to Bishop from Karns leaving and going to Powell or Bearden??
-
Has there been any “portaling” now that this new staff is getting announced? As in any kids transferring to Heritage?
-
I’m not going to lie, this doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. Mainly because I don’t think he’ll even start at QB for Maryville.

If it is 3 on 3 William Blount has no chance.

I think they should finish out the final 1:38 tonight minus any players that would have been ejected for the incident. You can't say Farragut would have absolutely still won the game had it played out. Likely, yes. Absolutely, no. I saw a game this season where a team trailed by 12 with a minute left and won in regulation by 1. Not sure how this ends up. As a D-B fan, I hope we beat the Hill tomorrow and get a game on Monday. I don't want to advance to the Boro without earning it.
Not to mention Farragut already had 2 starters foul out

Which side are you hearing that talk from?
Consider the source on that one.
Just saying. Sometimes things aren't actually like the rumors make them appear to be.
The man you just responded to is literally the Athletic Director at William Blount…

Osovet hired. Confirmed.

I’ve heard we’re getting new uniforms which is exciting

William Blount 2022
in Class 5A & Class 6A

Apparently the Carter scrimmage was a big mess. Carter never gave WB a straight format and so there were times where Carter’s starters were playing against WB Freshman team. And nobody, not even the refs knew, if they were playing 10 plays each or going down and distance like normal football.
