  1. They'll definitely be out like you said IF they win the next two weeks. I'm not sure they get past Bledsoe, but they should take care of Eagleville relatively easy. I'm sure even at 2-1 we'll see some talkers.
  2. Hope so! CoachT is more fun with them. I can't call them fair weather tho. They have turned out in person for every game I've witnessed for both good and bad squads.
  3. I don't think they crawled under a rock. Intoxicating sour mash fumes along with terrible Internet connectivity causes issues. Moore Co only has 4 seniors so I do agree they will be a handful for the next couple of seasons.
  4. So very true! In fact I almost skipped week one because it's so tough to pick em out of the gate. Yet with injuries, sickness, etc. each week can present a "different" version of each squad.
  5. Is Manchester still in the same region with the Boro schools? I thought they were bunched in with different schools now. Of course I guess they'd eventually meet one in the playoffs if that's what you meant
  6. I gathered that pretty quickly. Hopefully they seek some new blood soon. Appreciate your updates.
  7. Caught some of this one on the radio on the way to another game. Was 20 to zip Blue Raiders before you could blink. Hope both teams avoided the injury bug. Would love to hear more about how it unfolded from someone in attendance.
  8. Didn't have a dog in the fight. I look up scores and try to tune in on the close games for the ride home. Good luck to both schools the rest of the way. Hope everyone avoided major injuries.
  9. Thanks for the clarification. The Rooster guys barely described what happened. Guess they were in shock. Haha
  10. Yes NFHS can be pretty bad. Then YouTube feed was iffy. Tuned in on radio. Oh my word! The guys on the Rooster. Awful
  11. Heard FC threw a bomb for a score with 6 seconds left
  12. Thanks! I hate when the officials decide a game. Hopefully they'll let em play!
  13. Just something that helps me pass the time between games. Maybe next week I'll actually pick some correctly haha
  14. Before I retired from coaching, a younger assistant would always quote Bobby Bowden from his days at West Virginia. He once told Lou Holtz, who at the time was at William and Mary, "It's your job to keep the score down, not mine" as the game finished very lopsided. While I understand taking out 5 years of frustration can build up into wanting to score as much as possible, I also believe as one gentleman already mentioned that Karma is alive and well. I'll also say going victory formation is so sweet. To just bleed the clock knowing the opponent is hopeless and have them just be spectators to your accomplishment can be pretty satisfying. I know I always enjoyed it. I'm excited for both schools for what looks to be promising seasons. Best of luck the rest of the way!
  15. Congrats to Milan! I will admit my pick was wrong, but again happy for Milan. Hope all those kids that are banged up have speedy recoveries.
  16. I missed every game except Upperman. If anyone would like to pay me to pick their team to lose, my reverse psychology is strong lol Hope everyone had good, safe games!
  17. Also special teams is a big part that many forget but Tullahoma will win and/or stay in ballgames simply because the kid is good from 50 yds and in!
  18. I attended the game. I can definitely admit I was wrong but both teams are going to have rough seasons if things don't improve. Shelbyville has no offensive line. Gotta give the QB time to operate. They also need to learn to run under center in short yardage situations. Kudos though to the Wildcat Defense for standing tough on the goal line in the first half. I really think game management will have to get better for Tullahoma. Twice they were in field goal range (which would have put the game out of reach and ran passing plays that led to turnovers and no points. Take what the defense gives. Should've easily been 19 to 7 at one point and could've been worse. I normally don't talk about officiating but the interception pick six that was negated by roughing the passer was tough. Even some Tullahoma fans sitting nearby stated it was a "gift" but hey take the breaks when you get em. I'm looking forward to seeing how much longer the cats can keep it rolling! Great game and atmosphere.
  19. I can only imagine the gloating I will read later. I think I'm going to try to go watch a game tonight but I'll be keeping my eyes on this one as well through you loyal folks.
  20. I appreciate the invite. I'll be popping in more for sure.
  21. Thanks TraderTwo! I remember the grand prize game with Bozo along with the others you mentioned. As I child, I didn't know how good we had it. We were walking in high cotton for sure!
  22. I may start doing Class 1A games. That's where my playing days took place.
  23. I don't have a dog in the fight but I've read all 24 pages of this thread and almost wish I did. I have loved the back and forth! I do a little spoof of Leonard's Losers for those old enough to remember his radio show. I normally post it in the 4A section but thought some may get a kick out of it since I chose this game as one of my five for Thursday night. Peabody Golden Tide at Milan Bulldogs The Gibson County Grapple Quite possibly the toughest game to call but it should be an absolute slobber knocker when the Plum Puppies welcome the Yella Wave into the kennel. It’s been 5 years of frustration for the West Tennessee Canines but this team is dog gone fast! Meanwhile, the Trenton Teapots have something brewing with the strength in the fellas up front. The Tide should be floodin’ by the fourth and the dawgs won’t be able to keep their heads above water. Percy’s Pushover in a close one: Milan Good luck to both sides! Hope it's fun, thrilling, and injury free!
