I guess folks are trying to judge Haywood off of that Lexington game. Keep in mind Lexington only gave up 15 points a game this year. That number is skewed because most of the time the extra 7 came against the B team. Milan is the only team that legitimately put up points on Lexington until they ran into Haywood. Don't sleep on Haywood just because they only scored 17 on Lexington.

It's a mutual respect. I enjoyed the Haywood fans that sit with us Lexington folks during the game. We had a great time. I wish we could have pulled out the W, but much respect to the Tomcats. Just get #10 the ball more. The Haywood guys told me to get my phone ready every time he touched the ball. I quickly learned why.

Exactly. I would take being in Cookeville any day. We are still going. We have a cousin at USJ and former baseball teammates at Milan. I wish we were playing though.

I'm pulling for Haywood because I always pull for the West Tennessee team. But like someone has already said, they have to play better than they did against us last night. They sold out against the run. 8 men in the box. Isiah McClain still had 106 yards and a TD all before Smith got hurt. I think the talent is there though. Newbern's dad was sitting beside us on the Lexington side. Great guy with great conversations about the program. When #10 and Newbern went in as corners in the second half, the Tomcats secondary was a whole different monster. I think they are really still putting the pieces together on that team.

We got McClain for 2 more years and his little brother will be a sophomore next year.

Hats off to Haywood. We had a great season. We left it all on the field.

I don't know if Lexington has scheduled Haywood next year or not, but it would be great if they did. I'm a fan off a tough regular season schedule. I have one son that will be leaving after this season but another one that will be a freshman next year. It's game day. We pray for an injury free game. I'm think Lexington pulls this one out. The know they will have to grind it out to win this one. I think they are up for it.

Either way, I'm just glad we had a season because his junior year of baseball got killed by Covid. I don't want any of that for these football teams.

No. This Monday there was a link dropped for LHS Parents. It was a visitors link only and was allotted 200 tickets. The TSSAA ticket link went live today with the remaining tickets and you could buy from either side. I know this for a fact because the LHS tickets sold out Monday. A co-worker was able use his Haywood link to buy his.

We lost a 3 year starter on the line. Y'all have an impressive line. When 92 comes out of the backfield to block someone, there is nothing you can do about it. He's moving somebody.

Even one of the guys at our own radio station picked Hardin Co. and Haywood to be in this game. I can promise you that there wasn't many people outside of the 38351 that thought Lexington would be here. Most people had Springfield, Hardin Co. or Haywood picked to be in Cookeville.

It really impacted the Hardin Co. game. It's hard to replace everything he brought to the team.

This will be a low scoring game. Haywood has great size. But I think Lexington's line can handle it. The only game I've watched them play was against Covington. I still like this match up. I think Lexington wins 17-14.

Kelcey was a junior in 1995. We (LHS) were undefeated rolling into that game. We beat them in Lexington in 1994.

That's what I thought. The TSSAA has been releasing the links at noon on Mondays since the playoffs started. Well, the first round they didn't let the links go live until about 12:15. Now with my other son's basketball tickets they release the tickets on Monday too. But all the schools have thier GoFan profile set as private. You can't find them by searching the database. So, only the parents get a link ,via the Remind app, on Monday.

I don't know what happened there. I got 4 tickets, but one of our players had family members that didn't get any either. I sent 2 of my tickets to them because that player is a senior.

We have been using GoFan for the last few games. You can't even buy tickets until the link goes live.
