That's the TC mindset. Watertown is trash, except for when they have to defend their lousy district then Watertown is a powerhouse. I got on here and said that I think when it is all said and done, next year, if all things were even as far as opponents, Monterey and York will be superior teams to TC and maybe Watertown will be equal or better. Then here sideline comes, ignoring the fact that TC and Watertown have one of the easiest walks to the playoffs in the state. Then one usually has to go over the other, which in a TC fans eyes means they are "perennial powerhouses"... nowhere else in TN are fencebirds screaming their teams are perennial powerhouses after not having won a title in almost a decade. The delusion in that tiny little county is just beyond belief. To sit on here and act like your team is some sort of powerhouse when you literally play no-one in the regular season. You dared play FCS this year and they took you out. Reality is about a dog year behind for these guys. They'll be calling for Blake's head in about 9 months.

Not slander if arrests actually happened. But hey, you're not from there, right? Yet you know everything about the happenings, interesting juxtaposition from you. Here ya go, I simply post I think York and Monterey will end better next year even though it might not reflect it for York bc their district is kinda rough. Watertown and TC are in the same district. One has to go over the other, and who else in that district is gonna make it anywhere? Put any mediocre team in there and they are a playoff team And their district is so pathetic that they both go each year, and will again next year. I'm saying, Monterey and York are improving and play tougher district and non district opponents year in and year out and Watertown and TC are falling. Nobody cares about 1-2-3 years ago and what they(WT and TC) should have done but didn't. This is next year. TC wouldn't play South Pitt in the regular season, or Cookeville, or White Co, only way they played Lebanon was when LHS was rebuilding a few years back.

Like TC was garbage 5 years ago. Back to back first round outs from a weak district. So your memory is short.

Both played in tougher districts last year. TC beat Portland, Cascade, East Robertson, White House, and Westmoreland... Lost to Friendship Let's stop acting like they play in a rough division, or chose tough opponents to get that win percentage.. Bledsoe barely got past Monterey and TC barely got past Bledsoe, and TC lost the house. I'm speaking fact.

York and Monterey are improving. TC backsliding. Watertown are choke artists.

You put everything into football, you should at least be decent no matter what. Their other programs are historically bad. This is the 2-3 year span where the Jackets suffer from a lack of program building in the MS. No one on TC scares anyone. They aren't particularly well coached. All they have is the fact the entire county bends over backwards for them. That and a weak district will probably get em to their same old spot, 1st or second round out.

Kids these days were raised by our generation, so who is to blame for some softness? You guys speak in antecdotal nonsense and can never back up your claims. Kids are faster, stronger, and play year around now and there are benchpress stats, 40 times, and a plethora of stats to prove my claim. If 50% of the kids who play now are pansies, and the remaining 50% are bigger, stronger, and faster, it still proves my point. More kids are playing than ever, which creates a greater era of competition as well. Put this tired argument to rest guys, your generation would get stomped by these boys. You got old and things evolved, deal.

Since it's so much easier now, why aren't you guys dominating? I mean that is the word, that during a period of time where it was its roughest, toughest, and everything was ALL Pro level in TN, you guys woulda eat this generation up, where are the titles?

I forgot for a split second that this board was filled with dudes 19- 80 who think their generation is the best. None of your TC teams that won a state titled are beating Peabody this year. So what's your next argument?

Another weekend warrior claiming the good old days were tougher, harder, and more difficult. Seriously, let's reverse engineer your logic? If it is easier now, then how come the mighty TC can't bring it home every year, they did when it was tougher, and more difficult back then? I mean they had titles when it was much more difficult in your opinion, what is their barrier now? Spoke like someone who who can't accept the game has evolved and he is old. Those older guys couldn't catch most of these kids, and these kids are bigger and stronger, so I have no idea what you are talking about.

So, you are telling me that specialization of sports in this state. Camps, school recruitment, money... TSSAA monetization of sports, an increased population in like 80% of Tennessee schools. The addition of more schools, more college programs, and more everything is to be ignored? I don't think I will, seems like yelling into an abyss at this point.

Dude, why are you harassing me? I have never posted on your comments first, yet you always pick the fight. You are honestly telling me that the game is easier now to win than then? You scream of someone who played in the 80-90's for Clint, and then he hired, and basically sits all day long trying to defend the honor and the glory a legacy nobody remembers. Guys like you get on here and talk about how middle schoolers are gonna develop, and how you own Watertown, and how the stadium needs upgrades, yet you live in one of the poorest areas of TN, no real job market, you pay your educators peanuts, your coaches always leave, no real commerce, factories, or businesses of your own in TC, this is all you guys have. Your biggest employers are your school system, and a prison, and you probably work for one of them while alot of your former athletic stars either work at or are incarcerated in the other. You guys just aren't that team anymore, and every time someone says it, the monkeys come out the beat their chest about former glory. Go make the kids walk laps. I'm out.

Not in the modern landscape. If they couldn't do it with that stacked class of 2018-2019 I doubt these guys are getting it done.
