  1. Not really against Clint, or anyone else, just the culture you guys have is that of a team that is still winning titles every year, and those days left for Oakland. I mean darn dude, which is it, it Watertown overrated or are they an amazing mountain you have to climb every year? Depending on your argument, it changes by the hour.
  2. Better watch out, TC fencebirds will get on here and tell you they have Adrian Peterson jr set at tailback, and Mahomes jr ready at QB.
  3. Sure dude. Your argument is a player who is constantly injured will carry the team. 1-3 sophomores will carry the team even though they couldn't in MS and took many L;s. Also, the whole "Watertown would kill for our football team" argument is prob accurate, but the dif is Watertown is actually good at other sports, while TC basically has one sport and has flashed out mediocre in recent memory. Also, it's not an easy region? Are you serious with that? This team lost to FCS who got annihilated in the first round of privates and TC made it to the semis in 2A. 2A is the weakest classification in the state this year, without question. Hurts you guys to hear it, but it needs to be said. You have a better chance of winning a state title in softball or baseball than you do in Football. The only way you have any shot at all is Peabody leaving.
  4. Yeah exactly, make ignorant assumptions, par for the course. Dude is off somewhere making more money than your piddly county can afford to pay anyone other than Clint. I wish I was being hyperbolic, but seriously, what is with TC paying Clint, and a few principals so much, while paying almost all the coaches and teachers so little. They had to create a 60,000 position just to snag Waggoner, and he go out of town the minute he could. But sure dude, def feel sorry for Barker, people are learning a black mark from Trousdale is not a death sentence given their recent reputation.
  5. If you actually read posts you'd see I'm highly complimentary of Blake. The culture in TC however is toxicity personified.
  6. Hard to hold on to assistant coaches when the pay is so low in TC, and hard to attract coaches in a town that genuinely hates outsiders.
  7. Woulda left it alone, but your TC crowd went after Barker, a good man. You guys have an amazing skill for bending reality to whatever narrative doesn't make ya'll look bad.
  8. Funny considering half of the town wanted him fired until he made that playoff run.
  9. The job Blake and Eden did with that MS program was amazing. They let that program slip, and it's about to cost em, dearly.
  10. Ha, keep telling yourself that. Each line just kept getting more ridiculous until the end.
  11. Barker was never given any sort of chance. TC is filled with parents, teachers, and fencebirds who all know how to coach the sport better than the pros. Their kids all know the sport better than the coaches. And if you are not from there, you are doomed from the start. Good luck keeping a coaching carousel going when you treat any outsider like dirt.
  12. Knowing the man personally, NO, he was glad to leave. He was treated like an outsider, mocked, made fun of for his lisp and stutter, bullied, and treated like garbage. TC does that to outsiders. He had coaches on his stuff undercutting him from the get-go. Seems the only one who truly backed him was Clint. As far as Barker, that was a hit job from the beginning, they knew what he was doing with the gasoline pump, then used it to get him fired when they locked up Waggoner. Dirty deeds done to a good man.
  13. Waggoner wasn't dumb, TC was a 1-2 year swing with the kids he had and he was always gone after that. Not hard to look down the line and see there was nothing there coming up. Jackson, Eden and B. Satt developed alot of good players in MS, but with that structure gone(any TC people wanna tell that story, or are we all gonna pretend that didn't happen too), the cupboard has become empty. It'll take a few years for Gregory to rebuild the MS which is the secret to TC's success.
  14. No there isn't. There isn't a kid in that high school in the next 4 years that can compete with the kids they just hadthe past 3 years. TC homers can call themselves whatever they want, but the numbers don't lie, the program is about to hit a down turn barring some transfers, and their only saving grace is being in a weak division. They just won't have the horses the next 2 years.
  15. Nothing wrong with football being important to a community, but when it's everything, and everything is sacrificed for it, and you aren't winning titles, what's the point? They blamed it on Barker, then Waggoner, and now Blake. If Peabody had stayed 2A, TC would have zero chance at a title ever again.
  16. Yes, but the teams you mentioned all compete for transfers, and recruit, and beat up on each other ad nauseum, meanwhile Cookeville basically has the entire plateau to themselves with weaker teams and smaller teams. This team should be better for being the biggest fish on the plateau next to a major college. Too many kids from Putnam Co refuse to come to Cookeville because of the lack of leadership and coaching and the gross nepotism as far as athletics in the program. Imagine having 6,000 kids and consistently dropping games to 2 and 3A schools. There are kids starting at Upperman, and Monterey that would def start over the chosen at Cookeville.
  17. You talk like Wilson Central, Lebanon High, Green Hills, and Mt. Juliet are world-beaters. One one of the four that punch their weight is Mt. Juliet. Is 2A wasn't weak, Watertown wouldn't be much either,
  18. Amazing you consider a well coached team to be a team that has more numbers but has taken L's from any decent team, and a few below average teams in the past 3-4 years. Upperman has taken two of the last 3, Livingston Academy hung a loss on em last year. Once they get off the plateau, they get murdered. Funny how Monterey, Upperman, and White County can seem to compete up, yet Cookeville can not. COACHING.
  19. What'd I miss, wateredown has made alot of early exits lately?
  20. They don't have the talent to consistently beat Livingston Academy, or Upperman? They have talent, Monterey and Upperman are more than competitive in their classifications. They are in the same cycle as LA, they spend decades murdering poor plateau teams, and now that they have to play teams with good coaches, they are eating it. Anyone who says they are well coached but lacking talent, that person has it #### backwards.
  21. oh yes, truly a mighty program indeed.
  22. LA is a higher classification. Hence " scheduling up". LA tries to schedule their old rivalry schedule as much as possible for winning seasons, but it provides very few challenging games other than Cookeville, which is an awful 6A team for their numbers. Use to be in the past LA would play York, Pickett, Clay, Jackson, White, Cannon, Smith, and maybe Watertown or White House then get bounced in the first round. LA, you could say, is the Watertown of the plateau, always making early playoff exits.
  23. Not goin' again, but seriously, where do you teach PE?
  24. Gotta love how much everyone jumps all over someone for telling the truth like I did. The denial of that county over their program is massive. They will stand eye to eye and claim no transfers, while 2-3 start. They will claim no legal problems on the same week one of their starters gets arrested for possession and a few weeks after a few get busted for weed and DUI in separate incidents. As for Blake, he has said as much, loves the money and the easy system job, but doesn't like putting up with the parents. Can't say I blame him there, bunch of pills.
