I hate to agree but it's true. DB is one of the most athletic teams in our area usually and against the Knoxville schools the look stuck in mud. I would like to see a school around here get a coaching staff from one od those Knoxville schools and see if they can create more athletes in the area.

I was thinking them maybe getting screwed out of home field if they faced a 10 win team, but at that point its pre determined anyways.

If this does get cancelled this is another tough break for Greeneville. I hope this doesn't screw them in the playoffs.

This isn't a good DB team either. WR is just that bad.

35-14 Indians. Really after the 1st quarter DB has dominated. Indians are slinging the ball around the yard and WR has no answer.

20-14 Indians. WR muffed a punt DB recovered inside WR 10 and makes them pay. DB taking advantage of WR mistakes. Missed tackles and short fields.

I think it'd probably a combo of things. DB honestly hass been pretty conservative the last few years but they've also had a good group of backs to feed. Like I mentioned above I didn't watch the Farragut game so I can't talk about it, but I just wonder if the coaches didn't want to get into a track meet with Greeneville, so they tried to take the air out of the ball. The one deep ball they threw was a pretty good ball, if Hurd can somewhat consistently throw it that way then I don't see why the coaches wouldn't let him throw it more.

From what I saw Hurd wasn't the problem against Greenevill, conservative play calling was. If I remember correctly they only threw one deep play and it was in a good spot the reciever just didn't make the play. Everything else was a run screen orTE in the flat.

I know, but getting an early lead would be huge for WR. I don't think anybody on this side of Knoxville is going to beat DB by just running straight at them. Even SH doesn't do that.

It wouldn't surprise me, but I think that's a terrible idea, admittedly I didn't see the Farragut game but DB looked very stout on defense against Greeneville minus the coverage bust and drive just before the storm. The offense though leaves a lot to be desiered. I honestly think the key for West Ridge is a fast start then go to the ground game and eat clock. I personally dislike taking the ball first, but if WR wins the toss I think it would he a good idea to take it and try to put up a quick 7.

It sucks, but its understandable. School starts early most of these boys have probably been up since 5AM. At this point the earliest a re start could happen is 11:30. Then probably another hour of play. Thats a long day for high school kids. Yes, you probably could resume tomorrow, but after the adrenaline wears off these boys are going to be hurting and their bodies need recovery, add to that the logistics of paying for another bus, officials, getting the teams and crews together. This is honestly the smarter decision.

This might be a long delay..... I dont live too far from the stadium its been lightning pretty consistently, and now the thunder has rolled in.

There it is, Greeneville went wide and made it look easy.

Greeneville needs to go short to the edges and let their playmakers go. They arent having success up the middle and DB is whipping their O line.

DB playing well. Greeneville O line struggling to hold up against DB's D line. DB had a couple of short fields and capitalized.

Greenville has not been what I expected tonight. Very undisciplined on defense.
