I think that should start with the officials. They had absolutely no control. I am a proud of the Dragons for the year they had but I am disappointed in the lack of discipline tonight. Hate to see it end for this group of seniors they have been fun to watch the last couple years.
A lot of negative has been said about your dragons tonight but I will say this about your dragons, they don’t quit and play hard as crap. Can’t ask for anything more except the discipline part.

I bet he's wrong. I called um out before we even played them, Saw their style of play against Oneida both times they played. They,ve been dirty all year. My most hated team in the state.
Agreed, we’ve played your Hampton Bulldogs in the state tournament before and they were classy, I felt like we were too. Different sports won’t get into it… I get ER seems undisciplined, they are. But when you have a family that is as highly touted as the groves family and you watch people cheap shot your biological brother I’m sure you want to retaliate and it’s hard not too. I don’t want to make excuses for them but that’s my reasoning for the way they act. I feel like #1 is cool as a cucumber though, just smiles doesn’t say much.

What’s your explanation for York?
I bet he thinks York is just tough and hard nosed and plays through the whistle!

Using the word disciplined when talking about East Robertson! Funny! Extremely talented would be the correct term discipline not even close! Brooks has zero control over that team! Sometimes Talent is enough we will witness!
Brooks does everything he can, sometimes it’s how they’re raised. He only has them for 3 or so hours a day. The rest is with someone else.

Sounds like the team that they played tonight. Fairley is as talented as any 1A/2A team you'll ever see...size, speed, and athleticism at every position, yet undisciplined play and uncontrollable emotions took them out of the game. Diving at knees and ripping off helmets almost every play...mouthing and chippiness after the whistle while the game got away from them. Good teams grit their teeth and sharpen their focus when sledding gets tough, bad ones run their mouth and try to injure their opponents.
Sounds like York.

ER looked like Saints compared to York.

ER is a sophomore led team. Abunch of young pups. Proud as heck of them for getting here. May not end the way we want but by the time they graduate they’ll hoist a gold ball.

I’ve seen Riverside play multiple times, East can beat them. Happy to see them instead of Huntingdon honestly. Matchups will be elite. Riverside is probably the favorite but I think East can beat them. If they play like they did vs Smith they win. Tonight they loose. Simple.

I personally believe Groves is the best player in the state. I’m a Homer but it’s hard to argue against it seeing what he’s done.
Scary to think that Groves was RB2 on last years team. Prince and Co was special, just happened to run into a loaded tyner team.

Don’t know if York has seen a player like groves yet. I feel like he’s the most dominant player in 2A and it’s not close
-
York has a couple studs, a solid defense, and a tricky offense. Gonna be a close one
-
Smith Co gave ER plenty of Bulletin Board material. Especially the Blue Collar Savages quote from Dyer. Lol

Coach Brooks gonna have them ready

ER with the Upset! 21-20

I’ve seen York, ER, SC, Huntingdon, and Riverside all play this year. ER matches Riverside best and SC matches Huntingdon best. I don’t think York or Hampton can beat either SC or ER

Sounds like a beast. I have yet to see East Robertson play
He’s the most impressive player I’ve seen in quite a while. You can tell he’s heads and heels better than everyone else when he plays.

Groves updated stats
159 Carries
1839 Rush Yards
17 TD’s
12 Rec
176 yards
4 TD’s
2015 total yards
21 TDs

Isaiah Groves should be the front runner, he did NOT quit on his team that was his brother. Isaiah has been a workhorse every game, 2 weeks ago vs trousdale he had 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. Would like to say he’s responsible for most of the ER offensive production. He has 142 Carries, 1553 rushing yards, averaging 11 yards a carry and 15 touchdowns. Also has 100+ receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns. 1700+ all purpose yards so far with 2 games to spare.

East Robertson allowed Westy to be in control for a majority of the game and won on a last second trick pass play. This team has been blown out by Monterey and Liberty Creek and should have beat a team that is supposed to run through 2A football, What is going on with this team?
These kids have a lot of talent. Not a lot of heart.

Huntingdon is an amazing place to watch a game also. Really great atmosphere, great stadium, great field. Decent concession stand but other than that great place.

Riverside vs ER State Championship Showdown
in Class 1A & Class 2A

Most of these kids have won state championships in baseball or basketball, they know how to win. Hoping we can get some luck and leave Finley with a gold ball next Saturday.
