What’s wveryones thoughts on this one?

I got faith, waverly is real physical and has some speed. I’m just not sure the corners can hold up on the talented receivers for CA. I also noticed keeping the QB contained was a bit of a problem at times against camden when he scrambled

If the injury bug doesn’t prevent some players from playing next week, which I’m afraid it will, we should beat CA

Elliot and wills both are, not east to bring down whatsoever

It’s the exact same dbs from last year, how’d that turn out?

Waverly by as much as they want, offensive line is killer, stanfield and dooley both return at wr for the tigers, stanfield had 2 games last year with 3+tds, and those games were Fairview and White House. He was a sophomore, he has started on defense freshman and sophomore year and nothing will change this year, he will be a stud, had second most receiving tds last year by 1 and that was by number 15 who was a stud last year, dooley returns and I expect him to make a massive jump from last year. Elliot also returns and if he does better than last year, it will be a show, he was a stud last year and put on 20+ pounds since. New qb but kid is an athlete and has made great progress. Defense will be great as they have in the past, dline is all the same from last year, new linebackers but have made progress, dbs are gonna be dangerous, 2 of them have started since freshman, which are the qb and wr also and dooley returns as a second year starter, only db lost was 15, I expect the tigers to put on a show Friday, but if that doesn’t happen, I will take my crow and enjoy it. The QB stepping in for waverly has made very tremendous progress. He’s got confidence, he can read a defense very well, he has an amazing deep ball and is also athletic in the pocket. Let’s just see if he can do it in full pads. Waverly returns 2 starting wrs from last year, one of which was second in touchdowns as a sophomore. They return who practically took over as RB 1 last year and he has put on big time muscle. The starting oline all returns except center. The hard part is gonna be replacing the studs at middle linebacker and corner. New guys gotta step up and progress fast.

Just washed them abt 60 yards into the softball field. LOL

They have been using the old tigers den weight room that was used before the field house was built. Isn’t the greatest but better than not doing anything. All the racks and weights are back in the field house, it just hasn’t been completely finished yet.

They’ve managed to hit the weights somewhere, I’ve seen some players out and about and they have gotten much bigger.

Field hasn’t been touched since the flood has happened, don’t see it happening any time soon either.

There’s been rumor of the McEwen transfer ever since even last year. I’m curious to see if that QB for Dickson is one you’re talking abt it. I’ve seen him play and I believe I would rather have Griffin running the offense

Agree, Elliot had a great season last year, stanfield had an awesome season last year and he was just a sophomore. If I’m not mistaken, he finished the season with the second most touchdown receptions behind Brooks, I also wonder which players are gonna step in the gaps on the defensive side, there’s some big shoes to fill on that side

After a season unlike any other here in waverly, and one of if not the most OVERALL talented class of seniors graduating, what’s next for Boldin and the tigers?

They had a heck of a quarter final matchup last year as well.

When waverly went they had a visitors locker room, it was a rather small one, but there is one, after seeing east Nashville play, I’m taking dburg 35-21

One of you dyersburg posters better holler at the boys and tell them they better have their best set of cleats on. Field is awful.

They love the ground and pound. QB can’t do a whole lot of throwing. Not much progression reading like you see with air raid offenses. When they do throw it it’s to either 5 or 3. Both guys are fast. Their defense is pretty stout. They love to loud the box and dare you to throw it.

I did as well when waverly went up there, “smashmouthhhhh” was prolly his favorite thing to say
