  1. 15 days. Maybe you should go back and look at your "mathematics" that you mentioned earlier.
  2. He is coaching an offense that is top 5 in the state in scoring. That is a resumè bullet point that stands out.
  3. Seems personal. I would be upset too if I were you.
  4. Thirty six points per game.
  5. Also seems like it may be worth looking at some of these former Bearden assistants that are now coaching in college to take over the HC job, IMO.
  6. Would be a tough situation for a new OC to take over and have to run someone else's offense. Can't blame someone for taking the next step in their career and moving on to college either. Tough situation.
  7. Central's offense scored 17 on Greeneville, which is the most the Greene Devil defense has allowed all year. Also, they scored 14 points against Knox West, 12 more than Bearden was able to score against them. If he came to Bearden and scored just 21ppg that would be a 1TD improvement each game and Bearden would've finished with 2 more wins.
  8. Calling out play calling in a game where they scored 26 points and an offense that is averaging 36 points per game. Yeah... that sounds reasonable. Get your head out of your you know what and wake up dawgs.
  9. You seem like you know a lot of ball, you should throw your name in the hat.
  10. Word is now that Bearden is planning to interview Central OC for this job, as well. Would be a big pick up for Bearden if they can get the deal inked. They're averaging 36 ppg which is the most since the Joel Helton era if I am not mistaken. One of the bright young offensive minds in the local area.
  11. Sounds like a winning recipe! This will be Powell and John Allen 2.0.
  12. I'm sure Bearden will put together an all-star cast panel to interview coaches that would better fit the cast of an Adam Sandler movie.
  13. Again, this does not matter a hill of beans. Teaching and coaching are not related in KCS. Right @HTV??
  14. I am just saying that there is not a policy keeping that from happening. @HTV would know better than me. But, I think it would take a special administrator willing to do something like that.
  15. Agreed, ORC. I apologize for the blanket statement. I imagine that is the case in most KCS schools though. Teach 3 classes, no football period, good luck!
  16. I don't think there is a policy to keep that from happening and may happen at Bearden in this cycle. No teaching positions to work with but have a need for a football coach, they may be hamstrung into hiring someone that does not work in the school building. It is done in other sports and has been done at another school in KCS, recently.
  17. Unfortunate case in KCS, is that the pay for coaching is so little... why would you want to coach there? And they don't help coaches out in the classroom with their teaching load either from what I have been told. So you end up having the same responsibility as the teacher next door during the day but work 20+ hours a week. I think that is why schools wont touch "moving people" from their teaching position when they quit coaching.
  18. That is what I am saying. The only teachers that really matter are Math, Science and English in a growth/achievement standpoint. "By golly the rest better be coachin"!!"
  19. Sounds like less of a staffing issue and more of a lack of administrative support. I have not heard of that many coaches resigning at the same place to pursue other opportunities.
  20. Same could be said for all teachers outside of Math, Science, English, IMO.
  21. I just don't see PE and coaching to ever be a package deal in KCS. That's just the way the world works right now on that system. I imagine that once this transition is over and the new HC gets rid of the dead weight assistants that his new assistant coaches will be more than equipped to take care of the academic side of things in the building.
