  1. Green Hill is their own worst enemy. In every game they have lost this year they have turned the ball over multiple times. If they play their absolute best and Page makes mistakes I think they have a chance but Page is the better/deeper team.
  2. MJ was the better team. Especially on special teams. And yet again the turnover bug haunted GH. Brax's season appears over with an arm/shoulder injury. It was MJ's night and Congrats for winning the Region.
  3. I pretty much called this one. Green Hill is their own worst enemy. Dowd getting hurt left the door wide open for GH to get back into this game but too many mistakes in the game. WC had a terrific close out to the game holding the ball for the last 5 minutes to keep GH's offense off the field. Hats off to WC for a great win at home. 3 turnovers plus an encroachment on a 4th and 4 when WC was set to punt. It's hard enough to win games but giving the other team multiple gifts will make any game at any level difficult. Still a long way to go in the region. MJ controls their own destiny now. I fully expect them to be undefeated in the Region when they visit GH on 10/28.
  4. Last year Green Hill had a habit of playing just well enough to win a bunch of games. So far they've essentially done the exact same thing. They underperformed against Hillsboro largely because they turned the ball over 3 times in the game. 2 of them were on plays that were already 30 yard gains with the ball deep in Hillsboro's territory. The Siegal game they also had problems keeping the ball at times and took some really terrible penalties. (A holding penalty on a scoring play that would have put them ahead late in the 4th comes to mind.) Hillsboro's only scoring drive was their very first drive. After that it was pretty clear the GH made enough adjustments to keep them from moving the ball effectively. GH's defense has been pretty decent so far. The offense is the weakest link but if they hold onto the ball they should be competitive against everyone in their region. Turnovers kill any team at any level. I think it'll be close but I'll give the edge to the home team playing on a grass field. (vs turf at Green Hill) 34-28
  5. Green Hill looked like the better team all night. Definitely deserved the win. The pick 6 was a huge play but without it Columbia only put up 10 points. The touchdown though was a beautiful pass right over the middle. GH was the more rounded team. Columbia gave Green Hill a battle and had a chance down by 4 late in the 4th but GH's Defense was just a little bit better. Page coming to Green Hill is going to be an absolute battle.
