tURNOVERS- SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS IN A FOOTBALL GAME.
Community received the opening kick off, cascade is winning 8 to 0 after three minutes of Play… Anybody want to revise their prediction?!

you werent competitive against Richland
Considering that community has not played Richland, this is a nonsensical post… And in fact, to everyone in the stands, it looked like Cascade was going to be winning 21 to 14 at halftime versus Richland - but then Cascade fumbled around the 15 yard line and Richland ran it back 85 yards to take a 21 to 14 lead for themselves at half time… 4-5 turnovers difference but It was certainly competitive —Forrest has a much better chance vs Marion than Community has vs the great Champions of Wartrace…

Community will win that game.
I realize they were competitive versus Lewis county, but, this will not be competitive. Cascade play-calling improves vs weak teams. 25-6

Ezell Harding @ Summertown
WHo yeah got?
Mt Pleasant, Marion Co, Lewis Co, Richland, Summertown and Cascade are my picks
MTP, Marion, Loretto, Summertown, and Cascade

I’ve seen Huntland and cannon county and Cannon county is much much better…

Gonna hold my prediction til after Friday for Richland / Mt P. The injury bug seems to be a factor annually in this game. Rumor mill has Mt P down a receiver and Richland down a DB.. Could be critical in this contest
Well that kind of sounds like a wash -but likely more detrimental for Mount Pleasant… Richland takes this one 30 to 14

Has Forrest ever beaten Marion? Seems like they did in the playoffs one year but I can't remember.
Oh no, incoming history lesson from the General in 3, 2, 1…

Two worst teams from 2021 are tops through week 5. Loretto would be #3 seed rn because of head-to-head win vs Forrest. Cascade and Summertown are outside looking in for a playoff spot.
As you said, MTP and Richland are in the driver's seat if they win out. Forrest is #1 if Loretto loses another region game and Forrest runs the table. The team who can stay healthy til the end will likely determine who wins this region. MTP had a key injury last Friday.
1 Mt. Pleasant 2-0 100.0% 4-0 100.0% 2 Richland 2-0 100.0% 4-0 100.0% 3 Forrest 1-1 50.0% 3-2 60.0% 4 Loretto 1-1 50.0% 2-3 40.0% 5 Cascade 0-2 0.0% 2-3 40.0% 6 Summertown 0-2 0.0% 1-4 20.0% My prediction after glancing at the respective schedules: Forrest, Loretto, and Cascade will be tied at 2W-3L

Summertown is not going to the playoffs.
The winner of Mt Pleasant- Richland is winning the Region if they both win out besides that game. The other team will be the 2 seed.
That means Forrest, Cascade, and Loretto duke it out for the final 2 spots. Loretto has already beaten Forrest.
Almost every week has massive implications now.
Richland is solid & I think they finish first (Homer's endorsement = possible kiss of death)
If Richland & MTP are actually the two best teams, then the Cascade losses are no matter.
If Summertown is the worst team, then the Forrest victory is no matter.
Should be clear in two weeks!

Would have to agree with most of this. I thought Cascade looked good in the 1st half just couldn’t overcome turnovers. The fumble return for the score was a huge momentum swing . I’d say #5 was possibly the best athlete on the field but #13 for Richland proved to be the better tonight. Richland didn’t do much wrong in the 2nd half . Pitched the shutout and moved the ball in multiple ways. With wins next week (hopefully) it sets up a huge game in 2 weeks with Mt P.. Still don’t know how good we are but we are definitely better than the credit we get on here.
I was impressed with the toughness and the coaching staff

Good win for the Raiders over a quality opponent on the road. Cascade struggled with the Raiders pass rush and really struggled with snapping issues.
Raiders go on a long road trip next week before hosting Mt Pleasant in what will be the biggest game at Richland in a very long time.
Good pick up, first time that kid has been the snapper all season, strange the coaching staff had so much experimentation going on versus a tough team…

Richland more athletic? No. A lot tougher but not as Athletic.

Richland Qb was pretty flawless…Richland play calling was superior… Athlete’s were even…Cascade is down to maybe 4 dawgs on D-#4, #7, Kinda #’s 3 & 21 whereas Richland had about 8 players that wanted to hit somebody…#21 for Cascade had a big 1st half and then barely had his # called in the 2nd half—#5 isn’t playing D and #7 barely plays Offense-inexplicable for the best athletes on a 2a school not to play both ways
So simple to hike the ball and throw it immediately to a playmaker-The Qb is too short to see over the line—he needs to be rolling out to his strong side
#15 runs hard downhill but too often they have him running outside
Cascade experimented with a new defensive formation 2nite-was a disaster—Defense had mostly looked strong this season so not sure why they thought to mix things up…

41-14 Richland—Cascade looked like the slightly better team in the first half—blown out in the 2nd half—Richland Qb made all the right decisions…
-
21-14 Richland at halftime (Cascade with 2 turnovers after sustained drives)
Cascade gets the ball first in the 2nd half
