Sportswriters from across the state submit the original group. There is a panel of coaches, oficials, etc., that pull it down to five. Then a special, "select" group of writers vote for the final three. Please note: Statistics are considered ONLY from the regular season. By the end of Week Eleven, the first cut is already being done.
