I also have family in meigs and some of my best friends from there, I was at both state championship games and when sweetwater travels I go to the meigs home games. Big fan of both schools. Should be a great game. If meigs can stop the run meigs wins, if they can’t it’ll be a long night.,

Yeah no doubt about that, Sequoyah is sweetwaters biggest rival, even tho it’s not much of one in any sport. Truthfully I consider loudon a bigger rival.

Now dewayne, sweetwater has won 5 out of the last 6 district championships in basketball and won our region in football last year. You gotta be talking about girls basketball. Because as far as the boys side sweetwater has been dominant in basketball and baseball. I’m here yeti and finding out you went to Sequoyah makes more sense now about you rooting them on haha. We have good backs and a good line, I’m still wishing we would start our freshman at qb. The current starter (coach’s son) isn’t a threat to run or throw really and it’s a shame because we have weapons who can go get the football

Sequoyah’s athletes are just as good as tellico. This game will come down to line play. That’s how I knew Sequoyah was overmatched against sweetwater. Football is won in the trenches. Tellicos line is no where near as good as sweetwaters so if Sequoyah can contain Miller I think they’ve got a very good chance. I’ll go sequoyah 26 tellico 20.

You may be right but that’s not what I see. Tellico looked good against a very very bad eagleton team. Tellico May beat Sequoyah but it will be a close game

I think it’s a very close game. Tellico isn’t very good. In fact they had to come from behind to beat sequoyah last year.

Similar defensively, offense will be wear you down grind it out. I don’t see us blowing many ppl out besides maybe Sequoyah. I see best case 8-2 worst case 6-4

Very good running game, powerful line and powerful backs. The freshman qb is gonna be good but he is still a freshman, he has threw some good passes but made some mistakes as well. He’s gotten better each time out but there’s no secret we will rely on our ground game. The defense I would say is a little above average, we will put a lot of pressure on the qb and we stop the run very well. If there’s a solid qb with a passing attack it can give us a little trouble but we aren’t terrible on the back end either.

Also, sweetwater needs to start the freshman, more dynamic and a better passer. However the sophomore is the new coach’s son!

Sequoyah will not win, won’t be close. Sweetwater is still figuring things out offensively but they are very good defensively. Sequoyah will be lucky to score. 38-6 wildcats!

Bradley central girls won 4a which is East Tennessee

This sums up sequoyah. Not Monroe co. Sweetwaters football, basketball and baseball programs are thriving as well as an undefeated jr high basketball team and football team who played for a championship. Youth programs are very very talented. This is a madisonville and vonore problem. Not a Monroe co problem!!

I would have to say Giles co is a 7pt favorite. However if they think the same team from last year is coming they will be shocked. These kids are big fast and strong, they made a commitment to the weight room and it has showed. Offensive and defensive lines are just physical. Great rb and our defense just gets after it. Giles co will be our toughest test to date, watched some film on them and they are a very physical team with a nasty defense who doesn’t give up much….. should be a great game and I can’t wait to make the trip
