Is it just me or does it seem like everyone else is playing for runner up as strong as Middleton is?

How did Southside make such a big run.

Is Elizabethton playing well? How's both teams looking ?

If Hampton played a tougher schedule than I would say Hampton could play within 10. But when you run into a team obviously with the calibur of Wayne county I will say wayne county by 22.

I haven't saw Wayne County play. Just they have a pretty tough record. What's their strengths?

Haven't got to watch Southside play but I'm assuming they are very good on the defensive end of the floor.

Your right I was off on the year. That's insane how you go from 609 to 400 students that quick.

That's why I said their lack of scheduling good teams would catch up eventually. I mean literally look at Unicoi's non conference schedule. You play Cosby who over the past 3 years has a 6-24 overall record. Than you have Northview Academy who over the past 3 years is 9-17. What's funny is you have teams like Hampton which you guys don't play anymore and was a great home and away gate game by the way with an enrollment a little over 400 playing teams like 5A Daniel Boone who has over a thousand students and Gatlinburg Pittman who averages almost 650-700 students. Opposed to two teams on your schedule Cloudland and Cosby who don't even combine enrollment wise the same number of students you guys have. Not to mention teams like Chuckey Doak who is in your conference playing Knox Catholic the past couple of years says alot about Unicoi's direction as a program. Pad that win/stats column so you have something to fall back on after running into Alcoa in the playoffs.

Chuckey Doak has a pretty good ball team.

As I stated previously a very overrated Unicoi team with a weak schedule.

No excuses you guys played a good enough ball game to win. But when it comes to your brand of football it's all glitter and glam and unlike you guys the rams have actually won a championship lol stick to fireworks and theatrical setups.

Yea it's forks down for me on Friday. I'm actually going to change my score and say Chuckey Doak - 38 Unicoi - 14 That scheduling will catch up to them this Thursday.

Also their schedule is horrible. Who does Unicoi play outside of Chuckey Doak that is even remotely good? That record won't fool the likes of a team like Alcoa here in a month or so.

What a game. Hats off to Anderson County they dug themselves out of a big first half hole and found a way to win. My only frustration with the final play of the 4th was even if you are going to throw the ball which is fine. You still have 11 seconds left 3rd down your in decent range for your kicker not so much for his comfort but worthy of a shot. why not throw something quick down the field toward the sidelines to get a little closer for the kick. I mean that's just my opinion and you know how those go. I do think Betsy is peaking at the right time though and they are only going to get better come playoff time. And they are somebody I wouldn't want to run into 2nd round.

AC not as good as avertised

I wish somehow they could get the football state championships moved to somewhere like MTSU in the future. Chattanooga just seemed to me like a dump site for parking and overall surroundings last year. Anyhoo I think going into this Fridays game Elizabethton will be the more prepared and disciplined team. However I think Anderson County has enough athletes and playmakers to outlast Elizabethton. Martinez can sling it,Noe is a horse and than some in the backfield and they have the receivers that can go get it and make plays. They are a little better defensively from what I have saw which has always been their biggest struggle. I think if Anderson County can stop the run,play clean penalty wise and make Elizabethton throw the ball this game could get away from the Cyclones fast. In order for Elizabethton to win they are going to have to play a bend but don't break type of game on defense. Anderson County can clearly score in the 30s 40s on any given night. Up until last Friday Elizabethton when playing tough opponents only scored 6 points in three games. Elizabethton can't let this turn into a shootout and must dominate the line and contain Noe and force Martinez out of the pocket. Offensively establishing the run game early and win up front. I look for Russell and Stephens to play a big roll in this week's game toting the rock.I like Mitchell and Orton at the WR I think both receivers do a great job out in space when the ball is in their hands. I thought Maupin seemed pretty comfortable within the flow of the game spreading the ball out last Friday. Both teams are very good football programs and I hope it's a dandy on Friday for our Cyclones. But I think Anderson County takes the first one of this season. Anderson County - 35 Elizabethton - 14
